The Inspiration Station Challenge #87

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  If you celebrated America's 250th Birthday this past weekend, I hope you had a wonderful time.  We had a nice weekend with family and friends, saw some amazing fireworks and ate some delicious food.

Today begins a new challenge month at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  Our inspiration photo is a good one featuring tropical, summer, beach, and Christmas in July things.

I've taken inspiration from the plastic lawn flamingo ornaments for my card today.  Using a set I've had in my stash since May of 2024 and never used (typical), I created a card with a tropical vibe.  The set is the "Let's Get Together" stamp and coordinating die set from Spellbinders, which was the Clear Stamp of the Month for May 2024.

I've embossed a panel using the "Happy Hibiscus" 3-D Embossing folder from Stampin' Up and ink blended over the top using Distress inks.  I've colored the stamped image using alcohol markers, and cut out both the image and sentiment using the coordinating dies.

I've adhered the image flat to the embossed panel and popped the sentiment on foam pads.  Lastly, I've added blue Dazzles for that sparkle and shine.

We invite you to join us at the challenge this month and share your inspired projects.  And we hope to inspire you with ours.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Spellbinders Hex Tile Stamps

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome Back!  Today is a short post featuring a card ceated using the Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month for August 2021 titled Hex Tile Stamps.

I've kept the design simple and let the patterned paper do most of the work.  This is a layering stamp set and I've stamped the image using Catherine Pooler Inks.  The DSP is from the Carta Bella "Fall Market" 6x6 paper pad along with the Tag cut-away.

I thought it would be fun to create a little pocket and stamp the sentiment on a tag.  The tag can then be used for a gift if desired.  I've added faux pearls from the Kat Scrappiness Fire Flame Pearl Mix and added a piece of twine to the tag.

That's all for today!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Sending Floral Wishes

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  Today's card features the Spellbinders Sending Floral Wishes, which is the Clear Stamp of the Month for July 2021.

To start my card, I stamped and colored the florals using Prismacolor Pencils.  I cut along one edge of the bouquet, mounted on craft foam and layered on patterned paper from the Bo Bunny Very Vintage Dots 6x6 paper pad.

The sentiment was stamped and die cut, mounted on craft room and adhered to the card base.  No bells and whistles this time, only a strand of Baker's Twine.  I called this card complete but it was missing my sparkle and shine so I spritzed with Glimmer Mist; which is not picked up on the photo.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

I Hug You With My Heart

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  The week is coasting along and the weekend is just over the hill.  Today's make and share features a Yucca Flower and a Sweet Sentiment.

I've kept the card CAS, using the Yucca Flowering Plant stamp from the Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 13 stamp set and sentiment from the Spellbinders Borders and Sentiments, which is the Clear Stamp of the Month for May 2021.  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, dotted with a white Gel Pen, no other bells and whistles added.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
