Varada Sharma Designs New Release and Instagram Hop!

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Today, the creative team from Varada Sharma Designs are celebrating the new "Blooming for You" Release for April 2022 with an Instagram Hop!

For my design team project, I've created a standard A2 sized card featuring the Hexagon Frame image from the "Framed" set; which is a set in this new release.

I die cut a panel using a stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness and stenciled over it using magazine freebie stencil and also blended ink in the inside of the hexagon.  I've colored the image using alcohol markers and fussy cut the hexagon frame.  The sentiment is included in another of the newest sets in the release.

I've heat embossed some of the stenciled images on the hexagon using fine detail silver powder and splattered the piece with White Gloss Acrylic Spray from Dina Wakely.  Lastly, silver sequins were aded for sparkle and shine.

Varada Sharma is giving away (3) $10 Gift Vouchers to 3 randomly selected comments left throughout the hop.  Please visit us HERE @varadasharma on Instagram and hop along for your chance to win!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Varada Sharma April 2022 Release - Blooming for You

Hello and Happy Friday!  We've made it another week and today is a special day because it's New Release Day at Varada Sharma Designs.  This months' release is Blooming for You and it contains 8 new digital images, many sentiments and Cut Files!

For my Design Team project today, I've created a standard slimline card using the Slimline Cascading Florals and a sentiment from the Blooming for You Set.

I've colored the floral image using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers, outlined the image with a thick black line and highlighted with dark gray.  I fussy cut the image and popped on craft foam for dimension.

I've cut a black frame to highlight the vivid florals and adhered flat to the cardbase of 110 lb. Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.  The sentiment was cut into a thin flag banner, curled/lifted in the middle and adhered with liquid adhesive.  Lastly, clear iridescent sequins were added for sparkle and shine.

You'll want to visit Varada Sharma Designs to see all the April Goodness included in this release, which can be seen HERE.  Also, the design team is having an Instagram Hop on the 12th of April to showcase more designs and inspiration, so mark your calendars for that - there will be a prize involved!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challenge - April 2022 Challenge

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  Our themes are Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist; the twist this month is:  April Showers.

We have 2 wonderful prizes for 2 lucky winners - Jan's Digi Stamps is a sponsor and a Gift of 3 digital images from Lee Holland Art will also be awarded (winners choice of images).

For my design team project, I've used one of the newest image sets released for April from Jan's Digi Stamps:  Best Wishes.

I've colored the image with alcohol markers and die cut the panel with a fancy die, then mounted on craft foam for dimension.  The designer papers are from the Kat Scrappiness "Hop Into Easter" 6x8 paper pack and the sentiment is from the Best Wishes Digital Set.

To complete the design, I've added lavender enamel dots that were purchased at the local Dollar Tree Store.  That's all for today Folks.  Please stop by the challenge and enter your projects, we would love to see them all.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
