Autumn Leaf Prints

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  I'm in full blown Autumn card creating mode, this is my favorite time of year, even if we don't have "Autumn" in Florida.  My card today features skeleton leaf prints from the Gina K. Designs Layered Leaf Prints stamp set.

This is a layering stamp set but I've only stamped one layer of the leaves, using distress inks in Autumn colors.  I've stamped lightly in the beginning; sort of a ghost print, then stamped over top in increasingly bolder colors, creating a border of falling leaves.

I've splattered the card with brown and gold inks, stamped the sentiment in a dark brown ink and added golden sequins for effect.  This card was a quick and easy make and I'm pleased with the outcome.

That's all for today.  I hope you have a splendid weekend and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge #1

Hello Crafty Friends!  I'm excited to tell you about a new challenge starting today!  It's the Four Seasons Challenge and I'm happy to be part of the Design Team!  Here's information regarding this fun, new challenge:

  • Challenges are MONTHLY - 1st through the 25th at 12:00 AM (EST).  Winner's announced on the 28th of each month.
  • Theme:   Anything Goes for the Season we are in ... i.e.
Anything Winter - December, January & February
Anything Spring - March, April & May
Anything Summer - June, July & August
Anything Fall - September, October & November
  • Feel free to enter other challenges.
  • Unlimited Entries and Any Type of Project
  • September Inspiration Board - Use only for Inspiration:

Now, for my design team project.  The Theme is Fall/Autumn and I've created an A2 sized card using the Layered Leaf Prints Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs.

This stamp set is a layering set and I've used the final leaf layer to stamp leaves along the edge using Catherine Pooler Inks.  I chose colors I felt best represented Autumn but also added vivid color to my design.  The card base is 110 lb. Neenah Kraft Card.

I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, using Icing on the Cake Catherine Pooler brown ink as I didn't want a deep black sentiment on the card.  To finish off, I wrapped Baker's Twine and adhered gold gems from Kat Scrappiness for bling.

I invite you to join us and play along.  We're excited for this new challenge and we're confident you're going to love it too!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Forever Friends

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Today's make and share features the Gina K. Designs stamp set Layered Leaf Prints, Ranger Archival Inks and heat embossing.

Inspired by a Gina K. Designs YouTube Video, I stamped leaf images randomly on a piece of card using Ranger Archival Inks in the colors Potting Soil, Monarch Orange, Fern Green, Watering Can and Red Geranium.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, which I heat embossed.  I decided to pop up the small "Friends" wording on foam pads to allow a better contrast against the busy background.  As a final touch, I placed Gold Sequins around for a bit of Autumn Sparkle.   I do like how this A2 card turned out in the end but next time I believe I will leave more white space.

I would also like to remind you of the monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme is Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  This month it's ATG with Twist of Autumn/Fall.  The sponsor is AMB Illustrations so please stop over and join in the fun!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
