Paper Funday Challenge - Twist: You're Brew-tiful

Hello and Happy March 1st!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  It's an Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist and the Twist this month is:  You're BREW-tiful (anything coffee. tea, hot beverage related).

Our sponsors are the generous Varada Sharma and Star Stampz.  For my project, I've used the Cuppa Love digital image from Varada Sharma, patterned papers from Authentique and included the Twist in my design.

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils, fussy cut and popped on craft foam for dimension.  I place a strip of vellum behind the focal image, the patterned paper reminds me of a coffee shop; the walls and tile flooring.

To finish the design, I've popped the sentiment on craft foam; this sentiment is included in the digital set and added black gems to strategically hide the adhesive on the vellum.

Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenge!  Until next time, Happy Crafting.

National Coffee Day 2021

Hi Crafty Friends and Happy National Coffee Day!  I don't know about you but I love my Coffee....Hot, Iced, with Flavored Cream...you name it...I'll take it!  In celebration of this day, I've created a Coffee Themed Card to share with you today.

My card was created using digital coffee themed papers I had in my stash from Imagine That.  I've also used the Kat Scrappiness Layered Coffee Cut Die SetGot Coffee ? Word Die and Coffee Bean Embellishments.

I've kept the card design fairly simple using only die cuts, patterned paper matted with black card and a few embellishents.  I inked around the die cuts with complimentary distress ink to create depth, shadowed the word die with red and adhered the coffee beans with hot glue.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a nice Cuppa later....Coffee, Tea, whatever it may be....
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Polkadoodles Barista

Hello and Happy Saturday...it's evening time here and I've finally found a minute to sit at my craft table.  It's been a fast paced day and winding down with some crafting is my definition of a perfect Saturday night (funny I wouldn't have thought that 30 years ago).

This evening I would like to share Barista from Polkadoodles.  This is a swap card I made for a dear friend in the UK and I thought this image was perfect for her because she is truly a very sweet and dear friend, even though we've never met in person.

I'm never pleased with the way I color hair but my goal this year is to learn how to color hair properly and if I never actually "get it", I'll have fun coloring any way.

This card measures the standard A2, I colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, papers are from the Bo Bunny Kiss the Cook 6x6 paper pad, I used Kraft card as the base, added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in the color Ruby Slippers and for a final touch, accented with a Gelly Roll Sparkle Pen.  I hope you find her as sweet as I did and you find some time for yourself this weekend.

I would like to remind you of the monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The current challenge will end 31 May so there is plenty of time for you to enter for a chance to win a prize from the sponsor All Dressed Up Stamps.  Hope to see you there!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Coffee and Cake

Hello Everyone!  I hope you're all well and looking forward to your weekend!  Today starts a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor this round is SheepSki Designs, the theme is Anything Goes.

For my design team project today, I used SheepSki's image Coffee and Cake.  I love this image and did some fussy cutting; separating the cake and the coffee to create a scene for my A2 sized card.

My designer papers are from the Bo Bunny Sweet Moments Collection 6x6 paper pad.   I picked up this pad at Tuesday Morning for $2.99...can you believe it?!  What a score!

Please join us at Creative Knockouts for the challenge, we would love to have you and would love to see your beautiful creations.

Also, I would like to invite you to the The Paper Funday Challenges, it's a new month with a new theme and a great sponsor.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're Tea-rrific!

Today I'm sharing a card I created for a swap using an unbranded cup die, some tea party papers I had in my stash and some card candy.

In a previous post I mentioned I have been experimenting with different card sizes and I've been fond of the A-6 card size lately; this card is an A-6.  The A-6 measures 4.5" x 6.5" so not too much larger than the standard A-2 card size.

The sentiment comes from the Brew Ha Ha stamp set from Cardz TV Stamps by Mary.  I love her stamp sets, the stamps are of high quality and she also hosts a challenge for the opportunity to win a set of her stamps.

I colored the die cut pieces with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and pieced back into the die cut.  I embossed the little panel and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I hope you've been inspired today with my swap project and will visit me again this coming week as I'll be sharing a few design team projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Love You a Latte

Hello and Happy Friday Eve!   It's Thursday afternoon as I'm posting this and I'm craving a pick me up...more specifically...COFFEE!!

With that being said, here's something that I currently have on hand...not the real thing but it will have to do until I can get to my local coffee shop!

This was a quick and easy card.  It's a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5"), I used Kraft card for the base, die cut some mats from designer paper and used an image I found on Cricut Design Space.

I think I will give this card to my husband because I love him a lot and he's crazy about.......iced coffee!  :)

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!
