Frosty Winter Smiles Box Card

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope your Christmas Holiday was a good one and Santa brought you some awesome Crafting Goodies.  The new year is around the corner and I am so ready to say goodbye to 2020 and hope that 2021 brings us some relief from this pandemic.

I had the opportunity to create this Box card over the holiday weekend using the Frosty Winter Smiles character digital stamps from Polkadoodles.  The images are so adorable and perfect for a Winter /New Year themed project.  **Warning - Picture Heavy

This was truly a fun make.  I added some die cut Snowflakes using Gina K. Designs dies and Wink of Stella here and there for Sparkle and Shine.  Those are the only Bells and Whistles added to this card.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Sprinkle of Winter and a Change of Plans

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today, I have a very quick and easy make and share that features an image, topper and papers from The Paper Pantry Vol. III titled A Sprinkle of Winter.

I need some quick Christmas Cards to attach to homemade breads, cookies and candies that I plan to hand out to neighbors on Christmas Eve.  Our custom is to host an open house of sorts (very casual) on Christmas Eve with family, friends and neighbors popping in for the evening but this year we cancelled due to the pandemic.  So, our Plan B will be delivering our goodies on Christmas Eve and then taking a drive to look at Christmas Lights with a stop by Starbucks for a Peppermint Hot Cocoa.  It's not what I want but I suppose everyone has to celebrate the holiday whatever way they can and are allowed.

I created 10 cards of this exact style and will include with packages of Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge,  Mexican Wedding Cookies, Banana and Apple Spice Loaves and Haystacks.  I plan to start baking on Wednesday and will spend all day and into the evening baking up goodies.  My house will smell divine!

The papers were cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies and a Stitched Circle die by Kat Scrappiness, the sentiment is a stamp from Gina K. Designs, the focal image was popped up on foam pads and Nuvo Crystal Drops were added for a sparkly finishing touch.  I used Gray Ink to stamp the sentiment as I thought Black was too harsh.  I love this adorable Fox...he looks like he is enjoying a Winter Day totally oblivious of COVID...lucky him!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Last Tags for Christmas

Good Sunday to you!  Today I'm sharing the last of the Holiday Tags I've created for Swap Buddies.  For me, the week ahead with be filled with last minute shopping, menu planning, gift wrapping and sips of Egg Nog while listening to Holiday music.

The tags were a quick and easy make as I used papers and the coordinating cut aparts from various Echo Park 6x6 paper pads.  I cut the tag shape with a Gina K. Designs Tag die and used Glitter card from my stah (that generally only comes out at Christmas Time).  Baker's Twine used for the tie and sequins for a bit of shine.

I hope you have a wonder day and week ahead.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Harley Claus

Hello and Happy Saturday!  With 5 days till Christmas, I realized I hadn't made Hubby a Card and the dilema was....what to create for a 60+ year old Biker?  Then I stumbled across Harley Claus by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

This was definitely the image I needed for Hubby's Christmas Card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, used designer papers from the Memory Box "Christmas Plaid" 6x6 paper pad, a pair of decorative edge scissors to cut around focal panel and a die cut that was gifted to me in a swap. I backed the die cut with card so I could pop it up on foam pads.

No bells and whistles on this one as the Hubs isn't a sparkly and glittery kinda guy.  Fun image to color up and I know he will like this one!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #7 - Color Inspiration

Hello and Happy Friday!  Today is the last day of Holiday Chaos at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  It's been a fun week of challenges and inspiration using Bugaboo's adorable stamps. Today's challenge is Color Inspired and to top it off....it's also FRIDAY FREEBIE!

For my project today, I created a 6" square card using the Kidz Reindeer image which I colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

The papers are from the Memory Box "Holiday Plaids" paper pad, gold mirror card from my stash, sentiment from a stamp set that was included with a UK papercrafting magazine that was purchased at JoAnn's, the ribbon was purchased at Hobby Lobby on clearance last year.

For a final touch, I added accents of white with a Gelly Roll Pen, Gold Gems and Glossy Accents to the Lights. What a wonderful way to end a week of fun than with this cute little guy dressed in his reindeer suit....reminds me of Aunt Clara's Bunny PJ's.

I hope you've had an opportunity to join the fun and will join in today with your Color Inspiration project.  Starting tomorrow, 19th of Dec through the 1st of Jan, the Bugaoo Design Team will be on holiday break.

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #6 - Photo Inspiration

Hello and Welcome Back to Day #6 of Holiday Chaos at the Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  The theme for today is Photo Inspiration:

For my team project for today, I colored the Snow Globe Santa's Sled with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used papers from a Memory Box and Echo Park 6x6 paper pad.  I fussy cut the Snow Globe and popped up on foam pads for dimension and although it's hard to see in the photo, I accented the image with a Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen.

Now you may think, how was my project inspired by the provided photo  - it seems to be a stretch....so hear me out....Santa's sled is missing a Reindeer (which is in the photo) and Santa is encased in a Snowglobe (it's a cold, snowy scene in the photo) and the background paper has a bauble print (the little girl is offering the Reindeer a Red Bauble) so........my inspiration all wrapped up with this cute card :)

Please visit us at Catch the Bug for the Holiday Chaos...only 2 more days left of fun and festivities.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Wednesday to you and welcome to Day #5 of  Holiday Chaos at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  It's been fun the past few days and the fun continues with today's theme of "Make Us Laugh".

For my design team project today, I used the hilarious and grouchy Margaret Live in a Toaster digital image.  I can relate to this, just ask my hubby..I must have at least 1 cup of coffee in the morning before I can be motivated to do anything!  LOL

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the designer papers are from the Bo Bunny "Kiss the Cook" 6x6 paper pad.  I added Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents to her glass lenses; that's all the Bells and Whistles on this card.

Please join us at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog this week to enter in any one of the days of challenges.  We would love to see your creations!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #3 - Anything But A Card

Happy Monday!  The Holiday Chaos continues at Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Challenge Blog with today's theme being Anything But a Card.

My design team project features the Punky Kidz Sitter image that I turned into a desktop calendar.  I used die cuts and created a small calendar on the computer, printed it off and attached the pages together with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

I have now sent this off to one of my card swap buddies as a Christmas Present.  I colored her in holiday colors with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used a sentiment that would reflect what I truly wish for her and everyone else for the upcoming year.

Please stop by the challenge blog at Bugaboo this week for more Holiday Chaos, Prizes and Fun!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #2 - Sketch Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Today is Day #2 of the Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug; Bugaboo Stamps Challenge Blog.  This week we are celebrating with daily themes and prizes with Grand Prizes awarded at the conclusion.  Today's theme is a Sketch Challenge and for my project, I'm using the Christmas Doodles image.

I stayed true to the sketch with the exception of moving the sentiment up higher on the card.  The papers are from a Martha Stewart 12x12 paper pad I bought on After Christmas Clearance a few years ago.  The silver snowflake buttons and poinsettia embellishment are items in my stash purchased at After Christmas Clearance sales.  The digital images were colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

We hope you'll visit the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog today for more inspiration and hopefully enter your project in the challenge.  Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Naughty List by Oddball Art for Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Happy Fri-Yay!  It's time for a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge.  The sponsor for this round is Oddball Art Co. and for my design team project, I created a Christmas Card using the Christmas Elf with Long Naughty List.

I don't create with Oddball Art images very often and I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated with this image as the areas are small and thin for my coloring style.  Meaning not much surface area for large shading parts however, once I started, I found this image to be an easy color.  I enjoyed this one and I think she's cute colored up with traditional Holiday colors.  She has a very long naughty list and I looked to see if my name was on it...it's not...Whew!

Please join us at Colour Crazy Craft Challenges, we would love to see your makes and hope to inspire you with ours.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Oldie But Goodie Thursday at Bugaboo Stamps

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Today on the Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Blog, it's Oldie But Goodie Thursday.  I love using the newest images but I also like to go through the older ones and create something fun.  Today I created a Winter Themed Card with the Snowman Set 2 Collection.  This collection consists of 3 images and 3 sentiments, it's a great value and very versatile.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the designer papers are from the Doodlebug "Winter Wonderland" 6x6 paper pad.  I used Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness to cut the matting and focal image.  Lastly, I placed some sequins and added Wink of Stella to the Heart for Sparkle and Shine.

Please stop by the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog to see what's going on....there is a challenge running and don't forget to visit again starting December 12th...Holiday Chaos starts at Bugaboo with lots of inspiration and prizes!

Vintage Vibe Christmas Tags

Hello All and Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing tags that have a Vintage vibe to me (not intended as I have a hard time doing Shabby and Vintage any justice).   These were created using a Stitched Tag Die and Snowflake Dies from Gina K. Designs.  The papers are from a digital paper pack I purchased on Creative Fabrica and layered on a tag base of white card for sturdiness; and to add the "To" and "From" stamp.

Each snowflake was cut from Glitter paper, I hand dyed white ribbon using Distress Inks, the sentiments are from Cardz TV stamp sets and cut with circle and scalloped oval dies.  The finishing touch was to add coordinating gems to the middle of the snowflakes.

The countdown to Christmas continues and so does my tag making :)   Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Denim Christmas

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor this round is Beccy's Place.

We are marching towards Christmas at a fast pace so, for my Design Team Project, I decided to use up some scraps to make a Denim themed Christmas Card.  I recently wrote about using up what is left of paper pads; stash busting if you will.  I need to dig into my stash more often, use what I have so when I ask Santa for more crafting supplies, I won't get the Stink Eye! *wink

I'm a huge fan of Sketches when I'm low on Mojo or need to make cards quickly without much brain power.  This card came out beautifully using a sketch from Cardz TV, papers from an older Echo Park 6x6 paper pad (which I successfully used up), ribbon and gems.

Please join us at Pammie's Inky Pinkies this week, dig into your stash, google card sketches and let us see what you create!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

It's a Tag Crafting Time!

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I do believe I am finished with Christmas card making so now on to making tags.  In addition to creating tags for my packages, this year I want to send tags, as gifts, to my Card Swap Buddies.

The following tags were created using various scraps from several different Echo Park 6x6 paper pads, Tag Die from Gina K Designs, Baker's Twine and sequins and/or gems.

The tags were a quick and easy project as I used the cut apart cards included in the paper pads.  A little matting, a strip of glitter card and viola! complete tags ready to mail to my buddies.  Do you make your own tags?  I used to purchase tags, then became a paper crafter and purchasing store tags is impossible for me.  I have all the paper, embellishments, stamps and goodies to use...why would I purchase when I can create!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challenges - Paper Nest Dolls

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today starts a new monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges with the theme being Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Christmas / Holidays.  The sponsor for this month is the wonderful Paper Nest Dolls.

For my design team project, I used the Gingerbread House digital stamp to create a fun little Christmas Scene.

I colored the house with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, fussy cut and adhered flat to my card front.  The designer papers and Sentiment are from the Echo Park "A Gingerbread Christmas" 6x6 paper pad and the Poinsettia Floral Embellishment is from The Paper Studio.

I die cut 2 snow banks, embossed them with a Swiss Dots embossing folder and used glue with loose glitter to create sparkly snow on the roof, Chimney top, over door, window boxes, tops of gum drops and tops of snow banks.

This was a fun card to create and as I went along, I kept thinking of more things to glitter....why not?  One can never have too much Sparkle at Christmas!  Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges, we would love to see your holiday projects!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Hello and Happy 1st Day of December.  Wow, this year has flown by!  Let's hope 2021 brings us all a COVID Free Environment so we can go out without masks!  Until then, we must continue to create holiday projects.  My make today is a quick card featuring a large die cut and stamping.

I die cut a large Poinsettia with Leaves and pieced together; edging with Stickles Gold Glitter Gel.  The sentiment is from a stamp set that came with a papercrafting magazine a few years ago.  I liked the large MERRY and was the main reason I purchased the magazine.  I used Gold Mirror card for a thin border around the focal panel and added a Gold Gem to the flower center - which is very hard to see.

I believe I have finished my card making for the holiday season.  Now on to tags for packages and for swap goodies; something I want to include with my Christmas card swaps this year.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
