You're My Jam

Hello Friends!  I'm back with another post for the Not 2 Shabby Digital Creative Team.  My project today is a card created with the Jelly Jar image from the "On the Shelf" Digital Stamp Release for March 2022.

I've taken the jelly jar and added it several times, in different orientations and sizes to a panel and colored using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers.

I've chosen rainbow colors because what's more cheerful than a Rainbow?  We have Grape Jelly, Strawberry Jam, Orange Marmalade, Pineapple Spread and Mint Jelly.
.

I've kept the design sweet and simple, only adding a black mat, some Wink of Stella to the Ribbons and a few irridescent sequins here and there.

The sentiment is part of this digital set and the strip has been backed with black card and popped up for dimension.

That's all I have for you today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Gift Bag

Hello Friends!  Today begins a new weekly challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the sponsor this round is We Are 3.  For my design team project today, I've created a Gift Tag and Decorated Gift Bag using the Floral Doily - Garden Bouquet, Celebrate Greytone Confetti, Strawberry Jam Sugar & Cream and All Occasion Sentiments printables from We Are 3.

I've die cut triangles from the Greytone Confetti digital paper and adhered to a plain white gift bag. The tag was die cut from the Strawberry Jam Sugar & Cream digi paper and the Floral Bouqet Doily was printed and die cut using a large circle die.

Using remnants of various ribbons, I've attached the tag to the gift bag and now it's ready to represent to someone special.

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Free to Be from Varada Sharma Designs

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome!  Today I'm sharing a lovely birthday (or just a Thinking of You) card featuring the Free to Be digital stamp from Varada Sharma.  This image is part of the New Spring Blessing Release for March 2022.

I've created a birthday card using this gorgeous image and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I've kept the design rather sweet and simple; no dimension or patterned papers used today.

I've accented the image with purple gems and highlighting using a white Gelly Roll Pen.  I wanted the design to POP so I've matted with bright yellow card.

That's all I have for you today.  Please visit the Varada Sharma Shop for all the images in this release and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Western

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge Blog.  I was invited to Guest Design with the Team for the month of March and today is my last project for this month.  It's been fun and I thank the Outlawz for inviting me!

The Sponsor this month is Euerka! Stamps and the Twist this challenge is Western.  For my project, I've created a standard A2 sized Birthday card using the Cactus digital Stamp provided by the sponsor.

The image is perfect for the Twist, I mean what's cuter than a Cowboy Cactus?  I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the papers are from the "Good Vibes" 6x6 paper pad by Crate Paper.

I have fussy cut the focal image and popped on craft foam for dimension.  The sentiment was computer generated and a few enamel dots were added for additional interest.

Please visit the Outlawz Craft Challenges HERE and play along with us at Twisted Thursday!  That's all for now; until next time ~ Happy Crafting!

Ornamental Flowers

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday!  I've managed to get some time in the craft room this morning and I've created a card using this gorgeous layering stamp set from Altenew titled Ornamental Flower.

The florals in this set have 10 layers, the leaves have 3 layers, so using Catherine Pooler Inks and color inspiration from the stamp packaging, I stamped 2 large blooms and 6 sets of leaves however I've only used 4 leaves in this design.

I understand 10 different stamp layers sounds intimidating but it's not and all the layers created the most gorgeous flower with so much detail!  The trick, in my honest opinion, is to settle in and take it slow.  No rushing here...jsut have fun with it and be amazed at how it turns out.

I started with Pink ink and worked my way through Coral, Reddish Orange, Crimson, Mint, Aqua, Teal, Caribbean Blue.  I wouldn't have originally thought to use these colors together but they are bright, cheerful and give me a Tropical Island Vibe.

I've created a stamped panel using smaller leaves and 3 of the same colors used in the flowers.  I trimmed this panel down to 3.75" x 5", popped on craft foam and adhered to the cardbase with liquid adhesive.

The sentiment is from the Altenew Paint-A-Flower White Swan Echinacea Stamp Set and has been heat embossed.  The flowers and leaves have been fussy cut, arranged and adhered flat to the stamped panel using liquid adhesive.

Thanks so stopping by today, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #26 - A Cup of Positivi-Tea

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog and the inspiration photo this round is:

This picture inspired a lot of ideas and I knew I wanted to include a Rainbow in some way, in my design.  The field of yellow with the blue sky and rainbow above reminded me of the Ukrainian people; their bravery and resilience.  Using the A Cup of Positivi-Tea Stamp Set from Trinity Stamps, I created a standard A2sized card, coloring the tea cup with rainbow colors and dedicate this project to Ukraine.

I've kept the design simple, allowing the gorgeous image to be the star.  I did add Glossy Accents to the tea cup and hearts, providing lots of shine and dimension.

Please join us this round at The Inspiration Station.  We would love to see how the photo inspires you and what you create.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Daffodil Wreath

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-YAY!  Today I'm sharing a Design Team project created using the Daffodil Wreath Digital Stamp from the newest Spring Blessings Release by Varada Sharma Designs.

To start, I printed the digital image on alcohol ink friendly card and colored using Spectrum Noir
Alcohol Markers.  I then fussy cut the wreath and set aside to dry emboss a background panel.

The background was lightly inked with soft pink pigment ink in order to enhance the embossing.  The wreath image was popped on craft foam and adhered to the panel.  Lastly, pink faux pearls were added to additional interest and sparkle.

Thank you for visiting today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Not 2 Shabby Mother's Day

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing a Mother's Day card created using 2 images from the newest digital release from Not 2 Shabby.  I've used the Birdhouse, Crock with florals and sentiment to create a 5.5" square card.

The background was created using the "ink smooshing" technique on watercolor card and the images have been colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I've kept the design sweet and simple, only adding 3 tiny mulberry paper rose buds and popping the sentiment strip on craft foam.  I have applied Crystal Stickles on the buds and the floral images.

Thanks for visiting today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Birthday Bunny Wishes to You

Hello Friends!  Today I'm featured on the Kat Scrappiness Blog sharing a birthday card created using the new Hippity Hoppity Bunnies Stamp and Hippity Hoppity Sentiment Sets.

I thought it would be fun to take the Bunny with Balloons and the Bunny Wishes sentiment to create a birthday card for a friend whose birthday is around Easter time.

The image has been colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, clouds have been die cut from snippets of  Hop Into Easter designer papers and the background was ink blended using shades of blue distress oxide inks.

To give the ink blended panel some visual interest, I first splattered with water and then splattered with White Acrylic Gloss Spray.  Lastly, I couldn't resist adding the new Aqua AB Jewels, scattered here and there, for additional sparkle and shine.

Not 2 Shabby "What's on Your Shelf" Digital Release and IG Hop!

Hello Everyone!  Today the Not 2 Shabby Digital Design Team is sharing loads of inspiration featuring images from the newest digital release:  What's On Your Shelf.  There's an Instagram Hop starting at 1 pm CST (2 pm EST) today so you'll definitely want to hop with us for your chance to win a Gift Voucher to the Not 2 Shabby Shop!

For my design team project, I've used the Teapot, Cup and sentiment to create a Mother's Day card.  I've used Microsoft Publisher to arrange the images so the Cup appears in front of the Teapot.  The images are in a PNG format, which means they have a transparent background, enabling you to position the images to appear they have been masked.

I've colored the images using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer papers are from the Recollections "Patisserie" 6x6 paper pad.

To add additional interest, I've adhered an embossed strip of card to break up the two patterned papers, wrapped Altenew gold thread around the panel, popped the focal panel on craft foam and added enamel drops.

I've cut the sentiment into 2 separate strips and popped those on craft foam as well.  This new release has sweet images that are perfect for Springtime and Mother's Day cards.  Please visit Not 2 Shabby's Instagram page to start the hop here:  @not_2_shabby_shop

Outlawz Twisted Thursday - Happy Birthday You Ole Goat!

Hello and Happy Thursday!  I'm honored to be Guest Designing with the team from the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge.  The theme this round is Anything Goes with a Twist of Birthdays and the sponsor is QKR Stampede.

For my Guest Designer Project, I've colored the Old Goat Digital Stamp from QKR Stampede and created a fun Birthday Card, complete with a Snarky Sentiment I've created on the computer.

To color the image, I've used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and kept the design fairly simple; this card will be given to my husband's friend; bells and whistles have been kept to a minimum,

My husband loved the image and thought it was appropriate for his buddy; they are breakfast buds and teasingly call each other "Old Goat" from time to time.

Please visit the Outlawz Twisted Thurday Challenge and enter your project.  We hope to inspire you with our projects and would love to see what you create.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Spring Blessings March 2022 New Release for Varada Sharma Designs

Hello Crafty Friends!  I have wonderful news to share, I'm the newest Creative Design Team member for Varada Sharma Designs and today is New Release Day for March 2022!  I'm thrilled and honored to be a part of this wonderful team.

The Spring Blessings Release contains 5 new digital stamp sets with coordinating sentiments.  For my design team project, I'm featuring the tulips digital stamp and sentiment from the "Tulips in My Yard" set.

My card measures 5.5" square and to start the design, I arranged the tulips image in different orientations on a card panel.  I also printed the tulips image for a focal image.  Once printed, I colored the tulips using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and set aside to work on the background.

Using the 2 largest dies from the Pink Fresh Essentials Diagonal Stitched Squares set, I die cut out the middle of the large background card, creating a frame and die cut the focal image.  It appears that I've matted the focal with black card when in fact I have the middle piece that can be used for another project.

I matted the frame with black card and popped the focal on craft foam for dimension, then adhered everything with liquid adhesive  The sentiment strips are part of the "Free to Be" digital set and they have been adhered at an angle and flat to the focal panel.  Lastly, I've added turquoise blue faux gems to complete the design.

Please visit the Varada Sharma Designs Etsy Shop HERE to see the rest of this release as well as other fabulous sets on offer.  You can see my teammates' gorgeous projects celebrating this Release by visiting Varada Sharma Designs on Instagram HERE.

I'll be back on the 12th of March with another Varada Sharma design from the New Release and we're having an Instagram Hop that day as well!  You'll want to hop along for your chance to win a Gift Voucher to the Shop!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and heat embossed part of the banner using an Embossing pen and fine detail Gold Embossing Powder.  The sentiment is part of this set and was added to the banner prior to printing.

I've kept the design sweet and simple by adding some gold thread and irridescent light green sequins.
