Ghostly Greetings to You

Happy Friday to You!  I have a quick Spook-tacular share today featuring these adorable Ghosts from the Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest Stamp and Coordinating Die Sets.

It's all things that go Bump in the night for All Hallow's Eve and I started this card by stamping and die cutting these adorable Ghosts.  I've masked a circle on the card panel and blended distress oxide inks with water splatters for a spooky moon.

I've popped the ghosts on foam pads, stamped the greeting directly to the card base and added bats in the distance.  Lastly. I've lightly inked around the edge of the panel with purple ink and gave the ghosts sparkly eyes with Wink of Stella.

That's all for today!  Have a fabulous weekend, until next time - Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - Halloween or Use the Color Purple

Hi Crafty Friends!  It's the 1st Wednesday of the month and a new challenge has started at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  As always, the theme is Anything Goes with an optional Twist.  The Twist this month is Halloween or Use the Color Purple.

Our sponsors for the challenge are Paper Nest Dolls and Fred, She Said.  For my design team project, I used the Emma the Cat digital image from Fred, She Said to create a not so spooky Halloween card that features the challenge theme and twist.

This is an adorable image and I've colored Emma with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The panel was cut using a Stitiched Rectangle Nesting Die from Kat Scrappiness, the papers are scrap snippets from my overflowing stash and the sentiment is from an older Recollections Set.  I chose to keep the stitched frame as part of the focal.

The sentiment strip has been backed with craft foam for dimension, Wink of Stella has been applied on various parts of the image and sequins added for additional sparkle.

Stop by the challenge blog this month and enter for your chance to win from our sponsors.  We would love to see your projects and hope to inspire you with ours.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creepy Crawlies and Boo-gy Ghosts

Hi Crafty Friends!  Today I'm sharing a Spooktacular Halloween card featuring new products from the Kat Scrappiness September 2021 Release.

Before I get to my card, I want to announce that I 've been offered a Permanent Designer Position with the Kat Scrappiness Team and have gladly accepted.  I enjoyed Guest Designing and it's an honor to be part of such a great team! Now without furthur ado......

My card is A2 in size and features the new release products Creepy Crawly Die SetBoo-gy Ghost Die SetHappy Halloween Word Die with ShadowBoo To You Slimline Paper Pack and the Boo-Tacular Sequin Mix.

I'm in seasonal crafting mode and this card was fun to design.  I love Autumn and Christmas crafting time and enjoy creating cute Halloween cards.  This card was a quick and easy make as the focal images are die cuts and I used my healthy scrap stash for them.

I love the brightly colored papers in the Boo to You Slimline Paper Pack.  Although, the paper is slimline sized, you can easily for A2 sized projects.  I couldn't resist using Googly Eyes, the BOO-TACULAR Sequin Mix and Wink of Stella on the Word Die for lots of sparkle and shine.  What's more Spooktacular than a Spider with Googly Eyes and a Smiling Ghost?

It's All About the Candy!

Hello Friends and thanks for visiting my blog today.  The project today is a Halloween Card that sums up what Trick or Treating meant to me as a child...It's All about the Candy....and the costumes!

My card features an excited Trick-or-Treater equipped with his Candy Bucket and Flashlight.  The image is the boy version of  All About the Candy digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil.
If you're not familiar with the art of Mo Manning, you have to visit her shop and check out all the lovely images she has listed.  She is truly talented and I love all of her designs.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alchol Markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment is included with the image so I wonkily (is that a word?) fussy cut around it and colored over it with the same shade of blue as the highlight used around the image.

The patterned papers are from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 paper pad.  I die cut a black mat using a distressed edge die, mounted the image and sentiment on craft foam for dimension and lastly added Dark Purple Amethyst Rhinestones from Kat Scrappiness.

This little fella isn't too scary is he?  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a theme of CAS (Clean and Simple).  The sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps and I'm certain by now you've hard they have closed shop.  The prize will still be awarded and will be the images the Design Team used to create their projects.

For my team project, I used a Halloween Frame image to create a wee 5" note card perfect for posting or including in a Trick or Treat Sack.  The sentiment was included with the image so it made for fun and fast cardmaking.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and mounted flat to a card base of 110 lb. Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock.

Stop by the challenge this week and join us in the fun!  I am thinking we may see loads of Autumn and Halloween creations, we are getting close to that time of year!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Lil Witchy Poo

Hi Friends and Happy Fri-YAY!  Today I'm sharing another cute Halloween Card featuring an adorable little Witch from Recollections.

The images are part of a cling stamp set from Recollections that I purchased through FB Marketplace a few years ago.  It was new in package and this card is the fist time using these images.  I'm constantly amazing myself at the things I'm finding when digging deep into the stash!

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer papers are from the Echo Park "Trick or Treat" 6x6 paper pad.  I went a bit "Old Skool" with design elements such as a corner punch and Crop-a-Dile Corner Rounder, Distressing Edger, Ribbon and Nuvo Drops.  The sentiment is a cut out from the paper pad.

This card style may not be Trendy but I still like to create this way from time to time.  Have a Great Weekend and Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a theme of Anything Goes.  Pammie is sponsoring this round with a Gift Certificate to  Newtons Nook for the winner.  What a Great Prize!

For my design team project, I created a Spooky Halloween card using stamps and matching die cuts from the new Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest set.

The designer papers are from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 mat stack.  I die cut a circle and created a dotted background with finger daubers, a new pencil eraser and distress inks.  I also cut 2 banners out of the designer papers.  I heat embossed the Kitty and the Bats for that extra shine and boldness but it's hard to see that in the photo.  Finally, I added a few Orange Sequins for that sparkle and shine.  I think this Kitty is too cute to spook!

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and enter your creations for a chance to win an awesome prize to spend at Newton's Nook.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!  I've been invited as a Surprise Guest Designer for the month of October at Bugaboo Stamps! Those who know me know Bugaboo is my Favorite Designer so you can imagine how surprised and excited I was to be invited!  For my team project, I had the pleasure of creating a Halloween themed card for the Anything Goes themed Saturday Challenge.

For my project, I used the Frame It Witch & Frog digital image.  This was a fun image to color up using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I mounted the focal panel on foam pads for a bit of dimension, die cut a scary bat, used designer paper from the Paper Studio, stamped a sentiment from a really old set in my stash and accented the image with Wink of Stella.

The Pumpkin Trio

Hello and Happy Fri-Yay!  Today's make and share features the Pumpkin Trio digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  It was a quick, easy and fun coloring project that I used to create this A2 sized Halloween card.

I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the images, the designer papers are from the loose 12x12 paper section at Hobby Lobby and the sentiment, which was heat embossed, is from the Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest Stamp set.

I kept the embellishments simple, only adding Wink of Stella Sparkle Pen to the Sunflowers and the middle Punpkins' teeth.  I love the look on his face, the entire digial image is so cute and Bugaboo is a big Fav of mine.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're Spooktacular

Hello and Happy Thursday...the 1st Day of October.  Wow...it's been a whirlwind, these months flying by.  I'll be sharing Christmas cards before long....shhhhhhhh!

Today's make and share is another spooky card featuring a slimline profile, die cutting, heat embossing and the Haunts and Harvest Stamp Set by Gina K. Designs.  This stamp set was part of her Fall Release and came in a huge card kit.

The spiders are from the stamp set; I stamped and heat embossed them and cut out with the matching dies.  The bat is a die I have in my stash from a few Halloweens ago along with the alphabet dies.  The spooky branches are from a Crafters Companion Fall die set and the designer papers are from Hobby Lobbys' loose 12x12 papers.  The slimline base and frame are also dies I was gifted earlier this year by a dear friend from overseas.  The card base was created using Gina K. Designs Sweet Mango cardstock.

For a finishing touch, I added orange sequins for a bit of All Hallows Eve sparkle.  I hope you like my whimical/scary card and will visit again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Big Boo To You!

Hello and Happy Wednesday.  We've made it through half the week and I can see the weekend just around the corner.  I've been on a roll with Halloween cards so today's make and share is....you guessed it...another Halloween card.

This A2 sized card features a stamped image from the Brutus Monroe Stamp of the Month Club set.  The monthly charge is $5 US so I couldn't resist getting in on the club.  The sets usually contain 1 image with 1 sentiment.

The sentiment with this image was quite small so I chose to die cut the word "Boo" out of some old alphabet dies I have in my stash.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used designer papers from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 mat stack.  For a final touch and to provide some balance, I added 3 purple gems.  I hope I didn't scare you with this Spooky card!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Ghostly Greetings

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  The day is marching right along, I thought I would take a minute to post my make and share for today.  This A2 card features some ghosts from the recent Gina K. Designs Fall Release which can be found here.  At the time of this post, the kit is sold out but next month, the stamp set featuring the ghosts will be available on it's own; it's titled Haunts and Harvest.

The ghosts are too cute to spook, I think it's their whimsical eyes...they just make me smile.  I created a background panel with an old stencil and some distress oxide inks.  I stamped, heat enbossed and die cut the ghosts, popped them up on fiam pads and placed on a die cut circle I thought resembled a spooky harvest moon.  The designer paper strip is from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 Mat Stack.  Lastly, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (which is part of the Haunts and Harvest stamp set) with a ghostly white powder.  Scary indeed!   Well.....not too much.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

If the Broom Fits..Fly It

Good Sunday Morning All.  Today's make and share features Stella from Bugaboo Stamps riding her broom and sharing a sound piece of advise for our Inner Witches.

I love Bugaboo Stamps and I've been creating Autumn and Halloween cards this weekend, so I had to use this image for a fun A2 sized card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the DSP is from the Die Cuts with a View "Witches Brew" 6x6 paper pad.  I placed foam pads behind the focal image for a bit of dimension and added die cut bats around Stella.  For a final touch, I used Wink of Stella on the Moon and Star, also Glossy Accents to the lenses of her glasses.

Enjoy you day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Witchy Poo

Happy Saturday All!  Today's make and share features more of my "shopping my stash" items.  Yesterday I posted about going through my stash this weekend to find things I haven't used in a long while and/or forgot about create with.  I came across this Witch die so I created my first Halloween card for 2020.

I started by dry embossing a white panel with an old Halloween themed embossing folder.  I then ink blended over the embossing with Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Dusty Concord and Black Soot.

I die cut the Witch and a Stitched Circle to represent the moon.  Splattered water and diluted Black Soot ink over the entire panel, stamped a sentiment from the Cardz TV set "Mini Messages" and for a final touch added Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I have one more festive Halloween card to share before the 31st of October so stay tuned.

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Boo..I Can See You

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by.  Today begins another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor for our challenge this round is All Dressed Up Stamps.  I had the pleasure of using the Boo..I See You digi stamp for my design team project this challenge and it's an adorable image!

The theme for this challenge is Halloween, using the colors Purple, Black, Orange and Green.  I incorporated all those colors in this project and I'm thoroughly pleased with how the card turned out.

This card measures the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is black card matted with a digital paper print I had in my stash along with a green mat for the focal image.  I inked around the image with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and added some sequins in the colors of purple, green and orange to finish it off.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge at Creative Knockouts for your chance to win some cute images from All Dressed Up.

There's a bunch of Hocus Pocus Going On!

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  Today I'm sharing another Halloween card that has been paper pieced.  The three dancing witches remind me of the witches from Hocus Pocus; the images are from the Cricut Cartridge Potions and Spells.

The images are 3-layered:  purple, orange and black.  I embossed a mat of gray card with a Halloween embossing folder and added a strip of patterned paper to give these witches a dance floor.  This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and was a simple one to create, no extra embellishments added as I thought the image was enough.

I hope you were inspired and will try your hand at paper piecing.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges - Shaped Card

Hello!  Today it's time for challenge #149 at Creatalicious Challenges.  The theme is Anything Goes with an option of using the color purple.  The sponsor this challenges is the incredible Simon Says Stamp!

It's getting close to All Hallows Eve so I created this shaped card using the Cricut cut image Spooky from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  I did use the color purple in my design team project and added the die cut Witch as an extra embellishment.  I also added Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle and Ranger Glossy Accents to the middle of the eyes.

This shaped card measures 4.5" x 7" and I made an envelope from black card.  When I mail, I will address the envelope with a gold marker.

I hope you will join us for the challenge at Creatalicious; a huge thank you to Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring this challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
