Happy Christmas Lights

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday.  I hope your weekend has been lovely, we've had lots of rain and high winds here in Florida so it's been a crafty and cozy weekend for me.  Today's share features images and a sentiment from the "Watt's Up" Stamp Set by Jaded Blossom.

I've colored the images using my Prismacolor Pencils, the patterned papers are from the "Miss Mary Christmas" 6x6 paper pad by Hobby Lobby.  Does anyone remember Peachy Keen?  I have a stamp set from Peachy Keen that's all faces; different expressions and sizes, so I decided to give the lights some character.  How cheeky is the one on the left?  He's winking at his sweetie!

The images have been fussy cut and popped on craft foam, the corners of the focal mat have been punched for added interest and lastly, red sequins and Crystal Stickles has been added for extra holiday sparkle.

Christmas Eve is one week away, I hope you're ready!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #12 - Sweet Treat!

Hello!  It's time for a new fortnightly challenge at The Inspiration Station and the theme is Sweet Treat!  Now that's a "delicious" theme....see what I did there?  LOL

The Inspiration Photo for this round is:

For my design team project, I went with a Cupcake Birthday theme and used an "old school" stamp..you know, one that's mounted on a block, that I purchased from the Dollar Bin at Hobby Lobby.  It caught my eye because it was a $1 but I also liked the whimsical cupcake.

I've colord the image with Sepctrum Noir Alcohol Markers, created a mat with Rainbow Confetti Slimline paper from Kat Scrappiness and another old school block stamp for the sentiment; found during the same Hobby Lobby trip for a $1.

I die cut the focal image using a circle die and mounted on craft foam for dimension.  Everything was assemblied on a 110 lb. cardbase of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest.  For the finishing touch, I've added Mermaid Tail Pearls from Kat Scrappiness.

Please stop by the challenge blog at The Inspiration Station and join the fun.  We would love to see how the photo inspires you.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello Sunflowers and Sunshine

Good Sunday to you!  I hope your weekend has been great so far and if you're having a holiday tomorrow, I wish you lots of enjoyment.  Today's make and share features a Trio of Sunflowers.

I've made a Mini Slimline card measuring 8"x4" with Sunflowers from the Spellbinders Fun Stampers Journey Hello Sunflower Stamp Set.  I stamped the smallest of the sunflower images 3 times and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I die cut the images with a circle die and mounted them on foam pads.  The sentiment, from the same set, was heat embossed and mounted on foam pads.  I adhered all to a card base with mats from 12x12 single sheets of designer papers from Hobby Lobby.  Lastly, added twine and sequins for a finishing touch.

Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and it's sad the stalk only produces one bloom then it's done.  Sunflowers say Summer and Fall to me.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pumpkin Trio

Hello and Happy Fri-Yay!  Today's make and share features the Pumpkin Trio digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  It was a quick, easy and fun coloring project that I used to create this A2 sized Halloween card.

I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the images, the designer papers are from the loose 12x12 paper section at Hobby Lobby and the sentiment, which was heat embossed, is from the Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest Stamp set.

I kept the embellishments simple, only adding Wink of Stella Sparkle Pen to the Sunflowers and the middle Punpkins' teeth.  I love the look on his face, the entire digial image is so cute and Bugaboo is a big Fav of mine.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're Spooktacular

Hello and Happy Thursday...the 1st Day of October.  Wow...it's been a whirlwind, these months flying by.  I'll be sharing Christmas cards before long....shhhhhhhh!

Today's make and share is another spooky card featuring a slimline profile, die cutting, heat embossing and the Haunts and Harvest Stamp Set by Gina K. Designs.  This stamp set was part of her Fall Release and came in a huge card kit.

The spiders are from the stamp set; I stamped and heat embossed them and cut out with the matching dies.  The bat is a die I have in my stash from a few Halloweens ago along with the alphabet dies.  The spooky branches are from a Crafters Companion Fall die set and the designer papers are from Hobby Lobbys' loose 12x12 papers.  The slimline base and frame are also dies I was gifted earlier this year by a dear friend from overseas.  The card base was created using Gina K. Designs Sweet Mango cardstock.

For a finishing touch, I added orange sequins for a bit of All Hallows Eve sparkle.  I hope you like my whimical/scary card and will visit again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
