Happy Mail - Pammie's Inky Pinkies

Hello!  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor this round is The Cutting Cafe.  This challenge has a theme which is Orange.  For my Design Team Project, I had the pleasure of creating a shaped card from the Cutting Cafe.

The Cutting Cafe offers files in an SVG format for cutting machines such as the Cricut and Silhouette.  If you do not have a cutting machine, they also offer files in a JPG format for hand cutting.  Also included in your purchase are instructions and recommended dimensions for your project.

I used the Happy Mail Digital File in the SVG format, uploading it to Cricut Design Space.  I cut the recommended files in 3 different colors - the Shadow layer in solid Orange, the Middle or body of the card in White and the Outer Overlay in a Polka Dot Patterned card.

I wanted to embellish my card so I used die cuts and green gems.  To give the card a bit of dimension, I inked around the images with distress inks.  I am pleased with the finished project, it was very easy to put together.
Please stop by Pammie's Inky Pinkies and enter your Orange themed project for a chance to win a gret prize from The Cutting Cafe.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges - Anything Goes with Optional Monochrome

Hello and TGIF!  Today begins a new challenge at Creatalicious Challenges, the theme this challenge is Anything Goes with an optional Twist:  Monochrome.  We also have a great sponsor this round as well, Dr. Digi House of Stamps is our sponsor.

I had the wonderful opportunity to use one of the Cuddly Critters stamps from Dr. Digi, Rabbit for my design team project.  I created a standard A2 card using some digital papers I had in my stash and chose to use the Twist of Monochrome.

This bunny rabbit come in a pre-colored image which I used here, or a black & white line image for your coloring pleasure.  I used orange and kraft as my monochrome theme; I do hope I achieved it.

Please join us at Creatalicious for the challenge, we would love to see your designs.  Also, please visit my new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges where the theme this month is Anything but a Card with a Twist:  Use the color Green.  I would love to see you there.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge - Luck of the Irish

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today beings a new challenge at Crafty Creations Challenge and the sponsor for this challenge is Cute As A Button digital stamps.  For my design team project, I had the pleasure of using Luck of the Irish digital image.
Just in time for St. Patrick's Day greetings, this image is so sweet and I enjoyed coloring her up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  This is a standard A2 sized card using a polka dot paper from my stash.  I typed up an Irish Blessing and used as my sentiment along with adding some sequins for embellishments and inking the edges of the papers with Mowed Grass Distress Ink.

I hope you'll join us at Crafty Creations this challenge for your chance to win some adorable images from Francesca Lopez at Cute As A Button Digital Stamps.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

All Hallows Eve

Happy Saturday Everyone!  It's getting closer to All Hallows Eve and today I'm sharing a quick and simple card I created using the Cricut Potions and Spells Cartridge.

I kept it pretty simple using Traditional Halloween colors and some gems,  I colored purple with an alcohol marker, for the skulls' eyes.  The card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") and the inside is finished with a stamped sentiment.

I have one more festive Halloween card to share before the 31st of October so stay tuned.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Boo..I Can See You

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by.  Today begins another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor for our challenge this round is All Dressed Up Stamps.  I had the pleasure of using the Boo..I See You digi stamp for my design team project this challenge and it's an adorable image!

The theme for this challenge is Halloween, using the colors Purple, Black, Orange and Green.  I incorporated all those colors in this project and I'm thoroughly pleased with how the card turned out.

This card measures the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is black card matted with a digital paper print I had in my stash along with a green mat for the focal image.  I inked around the image with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and added some sequins in the colors of purple, green and orange to finish it off.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge at Creative Knockouts for your chance to win some cute images from All Dressed Up.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

There's a bunch of Hocus Pocus Going On!

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  Today I'm sharing another Halloween card that has been paper pieced.  The three dancing witches remind me of the witches from Hocus Pocus; the images are from the Cricut Cartridge Potions and Spells.

The images are 3-layered:  purple, orange and black.  I embossed a mat of gray card with a Halloween embossing folder and added a strip of patterned paper to give these witches a dance floor.  This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and was a simple one to create, no extra embellishments added as I thought the image was enough.

I hope you were inspired and will try your hand at paper piecing.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're a Scream

Hello Everyone and thanks for visiting today!  It's getting closer to All Hallows Eve and I've been busy creating some spooky cards for the occasion.  It's been a while since I've used my Cricut for cutting files and paper piecing so for this card, I used the Potions and Spells Cricut Cartridge.

Two spooky Owls perched in an old tree, set against an glowing moon!  I do love paper piecing and forgot how much I missed it so stayed tuned for more paper pieced cards coming soon!

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Shaped Cards

Hello and thanks for visiting!  Today I am sharing shaped cards I created using the Cricut Design Space.  First up is a cute Witches Boot image that I doubled in order to create a front and back, then welded together back to back to create a fold.

The image can be found in the Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge.  It is a paper pieced project which means the base of the card is the purple, another piece to layer is the orange piece and the last to layer is the black piece.  I added some die cuts; the spider and the bat as extra embellishments and applied clear Wink of Stella to them.  The little pumpkin is a sticker from the Dollar Tree.

I'm pleased with the outcome of this card and I definitely see more shaped cards in my future.  I hope you have been inspired to try some shaped cards as well.  If you don't have access to Cricut Design space or other cutting machines, try using dies or even drawing yourself an image.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
