Kat Scrappiness Candy Bar Wrappers

Hello Friends!  I'm on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today sharing 2 festive projects using some fun papers and die cuts from Kat Scrappiness.

Now for the Good Stuff!  I've created 2 Candy Bar Wrappers!  The Recipe is below and if you make one, you'll want to make a bunch!

The wrappers are easier to put together than you may think and make a great stocking stuffers.  These particular wrappers cover a King Size Hershey Chocolate Bar.  Here's how I put them together:

• Trim a piece of white card to 6" x 7" (or use any color you wish for the base).
• Score on the 6" side at 2.25", 2.5", 4.75" and 5".
• Fold and burnish on the score lines.
• Trim a piece of designer paper to 2 1/8 x 6 7/8 to cover the front or top of the wrapper.  For my designer papers, I've used snippets of card from the Kat Scrappiness Rainbow Dreams and Rainbow Confetti Slimline paper packs. 
• Adhere your designer paper and any embellishments you wish to add on the front of the wrapper.
• Assemble the Wrapper using heavy duty double sided tape along the back seam.  

For my embellishments, I've used the Christmas Wishes Word Die with Shadow, colored a Christmas Tree from the Quokka Christmas Costume Add-On Stamp Set, ribbon, Baker's Twine and glitter card from my stash.  The Candy Bars fit snuggly within the wrappers but not too snug as to be difficult getting them in and out.  

We are getting close to the big day so if you're in need of something quick and easy, try these candy wrappers for those last minute Stocking Extras.  They would also make wonderful gifts for Teachers, Neighbors, Friends, the Postal Carrier, the Amazon Driver (if you're like me - you're on a first name basis with them).

Rainbow Dreams Slimline Shaker

Hello and Good Day Crafty Friends!  I'm on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today sharing a Slimline Shaker Card I've created using the new Rainbow Dreams Slimline Paper Pad and the Almandine Garnet Rhinstone Mix.

My card base is 110 lb. Neenah Solar White Classic Crest card and the rainbow panel was cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness. 

The shaker elements are various sequins and Kat Scrappiness Almandine Garnet Rhinestone Gems.  I die cut the sentiment 3 times, stacked one on top of another for dimension and adhered flat to the card front.  I then stamped and heat embossed the remaining sentiment strips, then adhered flat as well.

New Release Day at Kat Scrappiness!

Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friends!  I'm Guest Designing with the team from Kat Scrappiness and today is new product release day!  There are loads of inspiration on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today so head over there, check out the team projects and instruction on how you can win Two new Slimline paper pads, A Set of the new Kat Scrappiness Detail Blending Brushes, new Kat Scrappiness Spoons and Embellishments. 

For my project today, I'm featuring the new Rainbow Dreams Slimline Paper Pad, Summer Quokkas Stamp Set with new Coordinating Dies and new Peach Pearl Embellishments.

I've colored the images with alcohol markers, and created a standard sized slimline card using the Stitched Slimline Dies from Kat Scrappiness. 

If you don't know what a Quokka is, here's a bit of information: Also known as a short-tailed scrub wallaby, about the size of a domestic cat and have a perpetual smile on their cute faces.  I'm also told that when frightened, they will throw their babies at you...what?!?
