Cardz 4 Galz - Hearts

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Today is the start of a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz Challenge Blog.  The theme for this round is Hearts and using the colors Red, Pink or White.

This time of year, I am crafting for Valentine's Day so my design team project reflects the holiday along with all the theme elements.

The card is a standard A2 size with designer papers from the Recollections paper pack titled Love and Devotion.  The Unicorn face is a Cricut Design Space cut from the cartridge Unicorn Hair, Don't Care.  This cut would also make the cutest T-shirt!

We hope you will join us at Cardz 4 Galz for the challenge.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Also, the 6th of February will start a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme for February is Love and there is a Twist of the colors Red, Pink and White.  Please join us there also!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Byron and LeAnn

Hi!  It's time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor this week is the wonderful LeAnn's World 101 and the challenge theme is "Finish the Inside".

For my design team project, I had the opportunity to use the Byron and LeAnn Winter image and this image is so sweet; I chose to create a card that could be used as a Valentine's Day card.

This card is a 5"x5", top folding (tent) style card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and popped up the focal piece with foam pads for dimension.  I also added some pink gems for bling and finished the inside to meet the challenge requirement.

I hope you're inspired to join us at Creative Knockouts this week and enter your creation.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Freesia

There's a new challenge starting at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog today and our sponsors for this week are SheepSki Designs and Little Blue Button Stamps.

For my design team project, I had the pleasure of creating with the Freesia Vase image from SheepSki Designs.
This is a lovely image and I chose to color a vase full of different colored Freesia.  I wasn't familiar with this flower so I research and discovered they come in a lovely variety of colors; the multi-color combo reminds me of Spring time!

This card measures the standard A2 with a simple design; just a bow made out of seam binding and a few sequins for bling.  Please join us at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week and also please stop by the new challenge blog at Paper Funday Challenges.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Make My Monday Challenge - Winter Birthday Greetings

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Make My Monday Challenges.  The theme this challenge is Winter Birthday Greetings.

I had to think about this one for a minute...I didn't want to create a card that resembled a holiday card but still needed to stay within the Winter theme.  I remembered I had a polar bear cut file in Cricut Design Space so I went to work cutting, paper piecing and the end result was this A2 sized Winter Birthday Card.

The designer papers are from a paper pad by Recollections titled Northern Lights.  I purchased this 12 x 12 paper pad at the beginning of the holiday season last year and only created 1 holiday card from it.  I will definitely be using it next holiday season for sure!

Please visit us at Make My Monday Challenges, we would love to have you enter your Winter Birthday creations and also, please stop by the new monthly challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges - a challenge for all things paper.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - Dimensional Greetings

Hello!  A new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz starts today and the theme this round is Dimensional Greetings.  Your project must contain a dimensional element.  I chose to create a fun fold card with lots of dimension and a quote from the late George Burns (which came from one of those Daily Quotes desk calendars).

My design team project is a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") middle stepper card.  I have been neglecting my floral collection so I grabbed some pastel colors that matched the designer paper; from Anna Griffin, and created.  I also used a fence die cut to give the card an additional element.  Finally, I spritzed the finished piece with Sheer Shimmer Spritz in the color Sparkle.

Please stop by Cardz 4 Galz and enter your project.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Bouquet of Sunflowers

Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well!  It's a new challenge at Penny's Challenges and the sponsor for this week is Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I had the pleasure of creating my design team project with the
Thinking of You Digital Stamp Set.  This set has the focal image and several sentiments for many occasions.
My card is a standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") side flap design.  The card base is kraft card and the design paper was some I had in my stash.  I added some card candy for accents with a touch of Gelly Roll pen in the centers of the flowers for sparkle.

Please join us this week and Penny's and also please visit the new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges - A Monthly Challenge Blog for all Things Paper.

Creatalicious Challenge #155 - Forest Mouse

It's time for a new challenge at the Creatalicious Challenge Blog and our sponsor for this challenge is the fabulous Fabrika Fantasy.  We are always honored to have the ability to use Fabrika's wonderful images in our design team projects and today my project features Forest Mouse.

The theme for the challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Winter.  My project could be considered winter because Mr. Mouse is having his hot cuppa and enjoying the aroma on a cold winter morning.

Fabrika Fantasy offers this image in a B&W line as well as a colored image.   I worked with the B&W line image and colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  This is an Easel fold and the card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5").  The design paper is one from my stash and the sentiments are from a digital download from the now closed Shop Verve.  I wanted to keep it simple so I added a few card candies for accent pieces.

I hope you'll join us this round at Creatalicious for your opportunity to win some wonderful images from our sponsor.  And please don't forget to check out the new monthly challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Love You 2 Pizzas

Hello and welcome back! It's time for another fun challenge at Creative Knockouts and our sponsor for the challenge this round is Imagine That Digi Stamps.

The Theme this challenge is Anything Goes and I had the pleasure of using this sweet image titled Love You 2 Pizzas from our Sponsor Imagine That Digi Stamps.  I created a Valentine's Day card but this image would be great for any themed card.

This image set includes pre-Colored & Outline JPG & PNG images plus 2 digital papers (6"x6").  For my design team project, I chose to use the pre-colored image and one of the digital papers.   My card base is Kraft card and measures a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5").  I added some ribbon, a bow and some red sequins for interest.

Please join us at Creative Knockouts for a fun challenge, we would love to have you.  Also, please visit the new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges; a monthly challenge blog for all things Paper.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - I Love You Beary Much

Hello, hope your holidays were joyous!  We're back and it's time for a new challenge at Penny's Challenges.  The sponsor for our challenge this week is the sweet MMedel Illustrations.

For my design team project, I had the opportunity to create with one of the Valentine's Day images, I Love You Beary Much.  This image isn't just limited to Valentine's Day though, it would be great for a Birthday, Thinking of you, Mother's Day, Father's Day; any occasion you can imagine.  I just love this little bear with his or her arms outstretched...…

I have colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, used some digital papers I had in my stash and added a bow, Wink of Stella and Crystal Nuvo Drops for accents.  I hope you think this little bear is as cute as I do.

Please stop in at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week and join in the fun.  Also, please visit the new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges; a monthly challenge blog for all things paper.

I hope you've been inspired and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge - Catch Your Heart

Hello, it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Creations and the sponsor for this challenge is the awesome Fred She Said Digital Images.

For my design team project, I had the honor of using the Catch Your Heart image.  This would make a sweet Valentine's Day card for the man in your life.  I did create this card with Valentine's Day in mind but this image isn't limited to that occasion; it can be used for so many other occasions.

This card measures 5.25" square and is a top fold (tent-fold) design.  I used some digital papers I had in my stash and some Nuvo Drops in the color Silver Moondust.  I printed two images so I could have a second heart.  I fussy cut that heart and popped up on dimensionals for a 3D (decoupaged) effect.

The sentiment is part of the image package along with a pre-colored image.  I chose the Black and White image and colored up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers.

I hope you'll join us at Crafty Creations for this challenge and will be inspired by the Design Teams' projects.

Make My Monday Challenge - Use Words or a Sentiment

Hello and Happy Monday!  It's time for a new challenge at Make My Monday Challenges and the theme this challenge is to use Words or a Sentiment.

For my design team project, I chose to use a sentiment and created a New Year's Card which measures 4.5" x 6", bigger than an A2 but smaller that an A6.  I went with these dimensions due to the size of the die cuts; they were exactly 4.5" x 6".

I was uncertain of the color combo but after completing it, I like it.  The black really makes it Pop.
Please join us at Make My Monday Challenges this round, we'd love to have you!

I would like to mention the new challenge blog The Paper Funday Challenges.  It's a monthly challenge blog and the 1st challenge is Anything Goes Made with Paper.  Please stop in and enter your paper creations.

Crafty Calendar Challenges - Peonies

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog and 2019!  It's going to be a great year.

It's time for another challenge at Crafty Calendar and the sponsor for this 1st challenge of 2019 is SheepSki Designs.  For my design team project, I chose to use the Peonies image.

My design is a 5" Rocker card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, fuzzy cut and mounted on dimensional foam.  I embossed the green mat with a Brick Wall folder for some added interest.  I also mounted the sentiment on foam pads and added some buttons to complete the design.  It's a very nice digital image and just seemed suited for a Rocker card.

Please join us at Crafty Calendar Challenges for your opportunity to win some gorgeous images from SheepSki Designs.

I also want to remind you that a new Challenge Blog has started at The Paper Funday Challenges and the 1st challenge is an Anything Goes!  Your creation must be made with paper and the challenge runs for an entire month.  Please stop by and join the fun!

The first challenge starts today and the theme is an "Anything Goes" paper project.  All projects must be created using paper.  I'm looking forward to seeing all the interesting, creative and inspiring projects.

I hope you'll join in our 1st Challenge and have a great time creating along with us.  We can't wait to see what you share at The Paper Funday Challenges.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Welcome 2019!

Happy New Year and Welcome 2019!   All the holiday décor has been packed away, the lights are off the house, the floors have been swept and our dinner is in the oven.  I'm starting 2019 off to a good start and I hope you are too.

I have lots of crafting plans this coming year:  I want to venture into the Glitter Tumblers and also being more proactive with selling.  My dream has always been crafting for a living but in reality, I know that won't pay the bills so all I really want is to support my crafting habits.  If I apply myself, hopefully I will be able to do just that.

In addition, I'm starting a new Challenge Blog that debuts tomorrow (02 Jan 2019).  It's a monthly challenge with a prize awarded to a randomly chosen winner.  I hope you will join us in our challenges this year, please visit The Paper Funday Challenges for your chance to win!

I wish you and yours a Healthy, Prosperous, Fun and Creative 2019!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
