The Pick 3 Challenge #7 for Jul/Aug 2026

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Wow, it's the 20th of July already and that means a new challenge month at The Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  The premise of the challenge is to pick at least 3 of the 6 provided elements and create using your choices.  The element list this month is:

I've chosen Fruit, Purple, Tropical and an extra element of sequins for my team project this month.  I found the adorable Squidgies Tropical Digital Stamp Set from Stamping Bella and couldn't resist coloring them up for this months' challenge.

Using Copic Alcohol Markers, I've colored the little coconut and pineapple Squidgies and cut them out using a nesting circle die from Kat Scrappiness. The patterned papers are from the "Beach Town" Mega 6x6 paper pad by Carta Bella.

The sentiment is included in the digital set and I've popped it on foam pads.  Lastly, I've added Blue Dazzles for sparkle and shine.  These 2 tropical Squidgies are adorable and they were so fun to color.

The team and I hope you'll pop over to The Pick 3 Challenge and share your creativity with us.  We enjoy seeing how everyone uses their chosen elements and are inspired by all the lovely designs.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pick 3 Challenge #6 for Jun/July 2026

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  Wow, it's June 20th already and that signals a new challenge month at The Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  The premise of the challenge is to pick 3 of the 6 provided elements and create a craft project using your choices.  The element list for Challenge #6 is:

For my project, I've chosen the Beach, Frame and Sparkle elements to create with and designed an Any Occasion card using items from my Stash.

I knew I wanted a Beach theme and knew I had plenty of items in the stash to choose from so I went shopping and found 3-D die cut framed elements, a summer/beach themed paper pad from Echo Park and Crystal Stickles in the colors Copper, Gold and Clear.

I've "painted" the Stickles on each frame and adhered the frames to the card panel.  The frames are 3-D so no extra foam pads were needed.  I cut out 2 small journal cards from the paper pad and added small gold Dazzles that resembled brads to their corners.  I've also added a bit of ink blending to the edges of the patterned papers and journal cards.

It felt good to shop the stash and use what I have on hand, and this card came together quick and easy.  The team and I invite you to stop by the Challenge and play along.  We would love to see how you use your 3 (or more) elements.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pick 3 Challenge #5 - May 2026

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  It's also the 20th of the month and that signals a new challenge at The Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  The premise of this challenge is to pick at least 3 elements from a list of 6 and create using your chosen elements.  The choices this month are:

For my design team project, I've used Blue, Plaid, Birthday and an extra element of Embossing to create a birthday card.  Do you ever purchase things and later wonder WHY did I purchase this?  That's what I was thinking when I came across a set of cute Elephant dimensional die cuts with sentiments that were living in my stash.

The patterned papers are from Scrapbook.com. the dimensional die cuts were purchased at Hobby Lobby a few years ago and the faux gems are from the stash.  Maybe this little Elephant was just waiting for a time like this to shine!

I've die cut an oval using a nesting set from My Favorite Things and embossed with the Textures 3-D folder from Penny Black, the die cuts had foam pads already so no need for more, I just added gems and a bit of Wink of Stella inside his ears and called this card complete.

We hope you'll join us at The Pick 3 Challenge and share your creative makes using your elements.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pick 3 Challenge - #4 Apr/May 2026

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  It's also the 20th of the month and that means a new challenge at The Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  The element list for this month is:

The premise of the challenge is you are provided with 6 elements and you choose 3 to create with.  For my 3 elements, I've chosen to use Friend, Feminine and Pastel.  I've also shopped my stash for the pretty patterned papers, sentiment sets and floral puffy stickers.

Following a free sketch from Cardz TV (you can find the sketches HERE), I've created a feminine birthday card.  When you're short on time, sketches are great and this card was quick to assemble.

Please pop over to The Pick 3 Challenge and see what my teamies have created with their 3 elements, and then please join us!  Have a creative day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pick 3 Challenge - March/April 2026

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Friday! It's the 20th of the month and time for a new challenge at The Pick 3 Challenge Blog, where you're given 6 elements and you create something using at least 3 of those elements.  The element list for this month is:

For my design team project, I've chosen the Wings, Stripes and Slimline elements for my card.  In my stash I found Dragonfly 3-D die cuts, and I've used the Watercolor Stripes Stencil and Distress Oxide inks for the stripes.

Before adhering the Dragonflies on the stenciled panel, I've splattered with black Posca Pen and let dry thoroughly.  The sentiment is from the "Small Talk" Sticker pack by Tim Holtz idea-ology, and it's been adhered directly to the panel.

The team and I hope you'll pop over to the Pick 3 Challenge and play along.  We love seeing what elements everyone has chosen and how they've used them.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Pick 3 Challenge #2 - Feb/Mar 2026

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Friday!  Today begins a new challenge month at the new Pick 3 Challenge Blog.  The premise of the challenge is to take 3 of the 6 elements provided to you, and create using your choices, making sure to tell us which you've used.

Here is the element list for this month:

For my team project, I've used Bright Colors, Flowers and Circles.  I had a shop in my stash and found some bright and cheerful floral stickers I thought be be perfect for the color and flower elements,  I've die cut 3 circles for that element and viola!  Complete!

The patterned paper is from the "Blush and Mint" 6x6 paper pad by Recollections.  The sentiment is from a Spellbinders Kit of the Month stamp set, and the sentiment strip has been popped on foam pads.

Please stop by the Challenge and check out what my teamies have created with their Pick 3 elements, and we hope you'll play along too.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The NEW Pick 3 Challenge - Jan/Feb 2026

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!  There's a new challenge in Blogland and it's The Pick 3 Challenge.  The premise of the challenge is to pick at least 3 elements out of the 6 given and create using them.  Challenge are monthly, always starting on the 20th of the month.  Today is the 1st challenge and the element board contains some fun ideas:

For my team project, I've used Fun Fold, Stencil and Layers for my elements to create a Valentine's card for dear hubby.  The stencil is "Swirling Hearts" from Creative Expressions, the fun fold is the Double Gatefold and I've followed instructions by Eva Deitz, and the layers are from patterned paper panels, a layered sentiment and card folds.

To make the card a bit more masculine, I went with a black, white and red color palette.  I've inked around the stenciled panel with Black Soot Distress Ink and the patterned papers are snippets from a Carta Bella pad.

The sentiment is a die cut with shadow from Kat Scrappiness.  I used a vellum shadow so the sentiment wouldn't blend into the background.  Lastly, I've added 3 red sequins and Wink of Stella on the sentiment.  I thought adding a bit of sparkle to hubby's Valentine's card wasn't too feminine.  He probably won't even notice!

The team and I hope you'll pop over to the Pick 3 Challenge and join us.  You have a month to join in, and you can enter 6 original designs.  Any craft is welcome, as long as it contains at least 3 of the 6 elements provided.  We hope to see you there!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
