A Big Boo To You!

Hello and Happy Wednesday.  We've made it through half the week and I can see the weekend just around the corner.  I've been on a roll with Halloween cards so today's make and share is....you guessed it...another Halloween card.

This A2 sized card features a stamped image from the Brutus Monroe Stamp of the Month Club set.  The monthly charge is $5 US so I couldn't resist getting in on the club.  The sets usually contain 1 image with 1 sentiment.

The sentiment with this image was quite small so I chose to die cut the word "Boo" out of some old alphabet dies I have in my stash.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used designer papers from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 mat stack.  For a final touch and to provide some balance, I added 3 purple gems.  I hope I didn't scare you with this Spooky card!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Ghostly Greetings

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  The day is marching right along, I thought I would take a minute to post my make and share for today.  This A2 card features some ghosts from the recent Gina K. Designs Fall Release which can be found here.  At the time of this post, the kit is sold out but next month, the stamp set featuring the ghosts will be available on it's own; it's titled Haunts and Harvest.

The ghosts are too cute to spook, I think it's their whimsical eyes...they just make me smile.  I created a background panel with an old stencil and some distress oxide inks.  I stamped, heat enbossed and die cut the ghosts, popped them up on fiam pads and placed on a die cut circle I thought resembled a spooky harvest moon.  The designer paper strip is from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 Mat Stack.  Lastly, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (which is part of the Haunts and Harvest stamp set) with a ghostly white powder.  Scary indeed!   Well.....not too much.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Sending Warm Hugs

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a theme of Anything Goes.  Pammie will be offering the winner a $10 Gift Certificate to Unity Stamps...Woo Hoo!

My design team project features a Freebie digital stamp from Power Poppy titled Sending Warm Hugs.  It's a lovely stamp, an easy color and because it's a digi, it can be resized to fit your needs.  Do you know of anyone needing a Hug?  If yes, create a special card for them using this digi stamp.

Since we are 1 day away from the official First Day of Autumn (it's tomorrow), I wanted to create an Autumn themed card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, die cut the focal image with a tattered paper die, inked the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink and backed with DSP from the Carta Bella 6x6 paper pad "Fall Market".

For a final touch, I added Wink of Stella to the flower petals and added a ribbon from my stash.  I love Sunflowers and this flower looks like a Sunflower to me...I especially love the Orange and Maroon Sunflowers in the Fall.

Please join us this round at Pammie's Inky Pinkies, we would love to see your creations and we hope to inspire you with ours.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

If the Broom Fits..Fly It

Good Sunday Morning All.  Today's make and share features Stella from Bugaboo Stamps riding her broom and sharing a sound piece of advise for our Inner Witches.

I love Bugaboo Stamps and I've been creating Autumn and Halloween cards this weekend, so I had to use this image for a fun A2 sized card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the DSP is from the Die Cuts with a View "Witches Brew" 6x6 paper pad.  I placed foam pads behind the focal image for a bit of dimension and added die cut bats around Stella.  For a final touch, I used Wink of Stella on the Moon and Star, also Glossy Accents to the lenses of her glasses.

Enjoy you day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Witchy Poo

Happy Saturday All!  Today's make and share features more of my "shopping my stash" items.  Yesterday I posted about going through my stash this weekend to find things I haven't used in a long while and/or forgot about create with.  I came across this Witch die so I created my first Halloween card for 2020.

I started by dry embossing a white panel with an old Halloween themed embossing folder.  I then ink blended over the embossing with Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Dusty Concord and Black Soot.

I die cut the Witch and a Stitched Circle to represent the moon.  Splattered water and diluted Black Soot ink over the entire panel, stamped a sentiment from the Cardz TV set "Mini Messages" and for a final touch added Nuvo Morning Dew Crystal Drops.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Shopping My Stash

Hello and Happy Fri-YAY evening!  Today's make and share features lots of die cuts, dry embossing and a little ink blending.

I wanted to have a look through my stash for some stamps, dies, papers, etc to use for this weekends' projects; things I haven't used in a while.  I found the branch and leaf dies from Crafters Companion and thought they were perfect for today's Autumn card.

I have lots of card stock in various colors, patterns, etc. so I went about die cutting the elements from Autumn colored card.  I dry embossed a panel using a folder from Darice and lightly applied Vintage Photo Distress Ink over it to accentuate the embossing.  I wanted the design to appear as if the leaves were being blown around by the Fall breeze so I glued down randomly.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV set that I won in one of her challenges a few years back.  For a final touch, I applied Wink of Stella Clear on all the leaves.  This A2 card was an easy make, and I plan to continue shopping my stash this weekend for more projects.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Surprises with a Stencil

Hello and Happy Wednesday.  The weeks in September are flying by which got me thinking about the last hoorah for Summer.  Although I live in Florida, when the temperatures drop below 60 degrees at night, I am COLD and we are supposed to have cooler weather the next few days.

I wanted to create something with bright colors as I've been creating Autumn themed projects so I had a look through my stencils; which I seem to forget, and found a Feather Stencil.  Stencils are really making a comeback, so I proceeded to ink blend Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks over the stencil.

I placed the stencil so there would be a main focal and 2 half images.  To keep everything within a measured square, I taped the edges with low tack tape.  I splashed Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink mixed with water over the panel, cut a thin strip and heat embossed the sentiment, then placed clear sequins for a bit of sparkle.

I suppose this A2 card could be considered a Fall theme, who says Autumn has to be only Oranges, Brown, Yellows, Greens and Reds?

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Thankful Leaf Print

Hello and Happy Monday!  It's been a whirlwind day but I do have a make to share.  This card was inspired by a Video on the Gina K. Designs You Tube Channel.  It features a hibiscus leaf, heat embossing and ink blending.

I went in search of a leaf, I really wanted a Maple or Oak leaf but I'm in Florida, so the closest I could find was a Palm Frond or a Hibiscus leaf...I chose the latter.  I washed and dried the leaf, inked it up with VersaMark Embossing Ink and pressed it onto a piece of white card.  I sprinkled fine clear embossing powder and heat embossed the image.

I used the new Ranger Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide Ink along with Fossilized Amber and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks to blend color over the embossed leaf image.  This is what started to appear and I just love it!  I'm so impressed with the hibiscus leaf and I think it's just as pretty as a Maple leaf.

For a finishing touch on this A2 sized card, I added a one word sentiment popped up on thin foam pads and gold sequins for that bit of sparkle.  My Autumn card is complete....the colors blended nicely, Awww....I love Autumn!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Fall Haul by Power Poppy

Hello and Happy Sunday!  September is well underway and my favorite time of year is upon us...Autumn!  Living in Florida, I don't get the traditional Autumn colors and Brisk Fall Breezes so Autumn basically represents the beginning of the Holiday Season for me.  I'd also like to mention I've already had 3 Pumpkin Spice Coffees and a slice of Pumpkin Roll this past week!

Today's make and share features the beautiful Fall Haul digital stamp from Power Poppy.  The digi set contains the main focal image and 2 sentiments.

I kept this A2 sized card simple, letting the coloring take center stage.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and matted against brown card.  For a final touch, I added clear Stickles Glitter Gel to the Fruit and Vegetables in the wagon.  (Did you know that Pumpkins are a Fruit and not a Veg?).

Until next time, Let the Autumn Crafting Begin...and Happy Crafting!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Digi Doodle Studios

Hello and Happy Fri-YAY!  Today begins a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge and my last project as a Guest Design Team Member.  The sponsor this round is Digi Doodle Studios and I had the pleasure of using the Sammi Skater Bear digi stamp for my design team project.

This little Guy is perfect for a Holiday card so I created a Tent Topper 4" x 5" note card.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the DSP is from the American Crafts Holiday 6x6 paper pad.  For a Final touch, I added sequins for that bit of holiday sparkle and a piece of cute polka dot ribbon.  I created the sentiment on the computer, backed with a piece of black card and popped up on foam pads so it would straddle the ribbon.

I've had a wonderful time being a Guest Designer on the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge and it was such an honor to be invited.  I encourage everyone to visit the challenge and enter your creations, it's a great challenge.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I thought the images were perfect for creating a scene and there are 9 images in the set to choose from.  This kitty wants to eat the treats but decides he'll wait for a friend to join him.  My card measures A2 and I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The DSP is from The Paper Studio "The Basics 2" paper pack, the sentiment is from the Cardz TV "Just Saying" stamp set.

Please join us at Pammie's Inky Pinkies this round for you chance to win adorable Gerda Steiner images.  We would love to see what you've created.

Flannel Flowers

Hello and Happy Saturday.  It's a rainy day here in Central Florida so I've been crafting and today's make and share features a digital image from Beccy's Place named Flannel Flowers.

This was a freebie image and after a search on the site, I am unable to locate it.  It may have been a freebie for a short period of time.

Edited **I've found the Freebie section and can be found here:  Beccy's Blog

This image is very versatile and can be for any season, depending on the color scheme you choose.  I've been busy creating Autumn themed cards and this digi colored up nicely in Autumn colors.

The card measures A2, the image has been colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The DSP are from the Carta Bella "Hello Fall" 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment from the Memory Box Grateful Autumn Stamp set and the ribbon is from my stash.  I did add Wink of Stella to the Yellow floral images but it's hard to catch on camera.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're finding time to create some Autumn cards.  I cannot believe we are approaching the 3rd week of September already!  My Mother used to warn me of wishing to Grow Up so fast....she was correct - the older you get, the faster time flies!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Forever Friends

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Today's make and share features the Gina K. Designs stamp set Layered Leaf Prints, Ranger Archival Inks and heat embossing.

Inspired by a Gina K. Designs YouTube Video, I stamped leaf images randomly on a piece of card using Ranger Archival Inks in the colors Potting Soil, Monarch Orange, Fern Green, Watering Can and Red Geranium.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set, which I heat embossed.  I decided to pop up the small "Friends" wording on foam pads to allow a better contrast against the busy background.  As a final touch, I placed Gold Sequins around for a bit of Autumn Sparkle.   I do like how this A2 card turned out in the end but next time I believe I will leave more white space.

I would also like to remind you of the monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme is Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  This month it's ATG with Twist of Autumn/Fall.  The sponsor is AMB Illustrations so please stop over and join in the fun!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Thankful We Know Each Other

Happy Satur-YAY!  Today's make and share features stamps from the Memory Box Grateful Autumn Stamp Set, Heat Embossing, Ink Blending and Die Cutting.

I have been practicing my ink blending skills and I thought it was a great time to start some Autumn cards.  I stamped and heat embossed the leaves and acorns and blended Distress Inks in the colors Faded Brick, Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye; splattered some water droplets for an added element and backed with a brown piece of card.  The plaid paper is from my scrap stash, I heat embossed the sentiment on a tag die cut using Copper Embossing Power, added baker's twine and Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Golden Sunset - card complete.

I've created this card for a Swap and it will be on it's way to my friend next week.  I hope she likes it and it reminds her of the upcoming Fall Season.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Begin Each Day with a Grateful Heart

Good Morning and Happy Fri-YAY!  Today's make and share features an Autumn Wreath, Stamping, Ribbon and heat embossing.

To create this A2 sized card, I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder Template  to stamp Autumn images.  I wanted the wreath to fit an A2 so I cut it in half.  I cut another piece of card to fit in the middle space, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with copper embossing powder.  To cover the gaps in the card, I added ribbon.  For a final touch, added some enamel dots and my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - AMB Illustrations

Hello!  It's a new month and time for a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme is Always Anything Goes with a Twist and this month's Twist is Fall/Autumn.  We have the wonderful AMB Illustrations sponsoring the challenge and offering a great prize package from the Etsy Store.

I created my design team project using the Woodland Forest Animals Clip Art Set from AMB Illustrations.  There are lots of images in this set and they are pre-colored which made card creating fast and easy.

I printed the image and die cut the focal image, used an Old Skool technique of inking around the edges of the die cut and DSP with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  I wanted dimension so I printed another squirrel image and fussy cut the head only, then popped it up with thin foam pads.  I stamped a sentiment, added golden gems and used Wink of Stella Glitter Pen on the orange and yellow leaves.

We hope you'll join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges, we hope to inspire you and would love to see your projects.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
