Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Anything Goes

Hello everyone and thanks for visiting.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a theme of Anything Goes.  Pammie is sponsoring this round with a Gift Certificate to  Newtons Nook for the winner.  What a Great Prize!

For my design team project, I created a Spooky Halloween card using stamps and matching die cuts from the new Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest set.

The designer papers are from the DCWV "Witches Brew" 6x6 mat stack.  I die cut a circle and created a dotted background with finger daubers, a new pencil eraser and distress inks.  I also cut 2 banners out of the designer papers.  I heat embossed the Kitty and the Bats for that extra shine and boldness but it's hard to see that in the photo.  Finally, I added a few Orange Sequins for that sparkle and shine.  I think this Kitty is too cute to spook!

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and enter your creations for a chance to win an awesome prize to spend at Newton's Nook.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Surprise Designer at Bugaboo Stamps

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday!  I've been invited as a Surprise Guest Designer for the month of October at Bugaboo Stamps! Those who know me know Bugaboo is my Favorite Designer so you can imagine how surprised and excited I was to be invited!  For my team project, I had the pleasure of creating a Halloween themed card for the Anything Goes themed Saturday Challenge.

For my project, I used the Frame It Witch & Frog digital image.  This was a fun image to color up using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I mounted the focal panel on foam pads for a bit of dimension, die cut a scary bat, used designer paper from the Paper Studio, stamped a sentiment from a really old set in my stash and accented the image with Wink of Stella.

Please visit the Saturday Weekly Challenge at Bugaboo Stamps to see the other awesome team projects and enter to win your choice of some fun Bugaboo images.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're Spooktacular

Hello and Happy Thursday...the 1st Day of October.  Wow...it's been a whirlwind, these months flying by.  I'll be sharing Christmas cards before long....shhhhhhhh!

Today's make and share is another spooky card featuring a slimline profile, die cutting, heat embossing and the Haunts and Harvest Stamp Set by Gina K. Designs.  This stamp set was part of her Fall Release and came in a huge card kit.

The spiders are from the stamp set; I stamped and heat embossed them and cut out with the matching dies.  The bat is a die I have in my stash from a few Halloweens ago along with the alphabet dies.  The spooky branches are from a Crafters Companion Fall die set and the designer papers are from Hobby Lobbys' loose 12x12 papers.  The slimline base and frame are also dies I was gifted earlier this year by a dear friend from overseas.  The card base was created using Gina K. Designs Sweet Mango cardstock.

For a finishing touch, I added orange sequins for a bit of All Hallows Eve sparkle.  I hope you like my whimical/scary card and will visit again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz Challenge - What's New?

Hello and welcome back!  It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.   It's Challenge #81 and the theme this round is What's New; use something new in your project...a new technique, new die, new papers, new stamps, etc.

For my project, I used a new unbranded Haunted House die and some new to me Ranger Crackle Accents on the windows; although hard to see in this picture.

This card is an A-6 size; measuring 4.5" x 6.5", tent fold card.  I inked up the background to create a spooky sky with distress oxide inks in the colors seedless preserves, wilted violet and fossilized amber.  The big moon was inked with wild honey.  I used water droplets to create the reaction the oxide inks are known for to get splatters in the sky.  Added some spooky bats and the sentiment from a stamp set from Cardz TV.

I hope you were inspired to try something new and join us at Cardz 4 Galz for this fun challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
