Primrose - Shine Bright

Today's card features Primrose, a digi stamp from Digi Doodle Studios.  She's lovely and part of the Flower Girls Collection.  I colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used designer papers from the Pink & Main Summer Splash 6x6 paper pad.  I fussy cut her out and lifted her up on foam pads for a bit of dimension.

This card measures A2 (4.25" x 5.5") and the sentiment is from a Kelly Creates Stamp Set.  For a final touch, I've added some sequins and used a Gelly Roll Sparkle pen to accent the flower centers.

She's lovely and is enjoying a Summer Day with her Big Hat adorned with Primrose and her basket of flowers.  Thanks for visiting and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Coffee and Friends

I'm back to share a card created using an image and sentiment from the Coffee Lovers Digital Stamp Set by Graciellie Designs.  This is a sweet set with 2 images and 5 sentiments.

This card measures A2 in the Landscape orientation, the designer papers are from a digital paper pack I've had in my stash for quite sometime, the designer is Imagine That.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, inked the sentiment with Tea Dye Distress Ink to knock back the brightness and mounted it along with the donut on foam pads for a bit of dimension.  Quick and Easy card and another one for a July card Swap.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bloom & Grow

Hello Eveyone, Whew...it's been a fast paced week but it's finally the weekend!  Today I'm sharing a quick card I created using some of the elements from the new Gina K. Designs Nature's Touch Card Kit and a sentiment from a Kelly Creates Stamp Set named Bouncy Phrases.

For my card, I used one the stamps from the Natural Silhouettes Stamp Set; which is included in the kit.   I stamped the image and sentiment with white embossing power in order to do a resist technique.  I then inked the background with a combination of the new Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Speckled Egg along with the Abandon Coral and Vintage Photo.  I like this color combo, the colors seem to compliment one another.

Lastly, I added 1 mat and Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Ivory Sea Shell.  A completed A2 size card ready to send to a swap partner in July.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Monkey Love A Handful of Hearts

Today, I'm back to share a card crated for a July Card Swap Partner using the Monkey Love A Handful of Hearts digital stamp by Bugaboo.  This image would make a fun and lovely Valentine's Day Card, a Card for your Significant Other or, like I've used it, for a Friend.

The card measures A2 and the designer papers are from the Crate Paper Good Vibes 6x6 paper pad.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, popped the focal image on foam pads for dimension and added sequins for the finishing touch.

Adorable little Monkey with lots of love to give.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Single Orange Rose

I'm back to share a card I created using a Free Digi Download from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley.  It's a lovely and elegant Single Rose digi stamp which can be used in so many ways.  You can duplicate the image and have a beautiful dozen if you wanted.  Today, I used 1 single Rose and colored it Orange with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I don't often see Orange Roses and I wanted a color other than Pink, Yellow or Red; the Ribbon was my inspiration for the Orange Color.  I created a sparkly background using a stencil and the Ranger Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust.  I wanted a background that popped but was monochromatic; the background is lovely and it's hard to see in the picture.  I am loving these Stickles Glitter Gels!

I used a Die from my stash to cut out the focal image, used a sentiment stamp from a very old Hero Arts set and popped the focal image and sentiment up on foam pads for a bit of dimension.  The card is intended for one of my July Swap Partners and I am pleased with the finished product.  I hope she likes it just as much as I do.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Summer Pup

I'm back to share another Swap Card I created using the Summer Pup digital stamp by Bugaboo Stamps.  Since Summer officially begins this weekend, I thought it appropriate to color up this Puppy at the Beach, wearing his cool shades, equipped with his safety float and ready for a swim.

This card measures A2 (4.25" x 5.5"), the designer papers are from the Pink & Main Summer Splash 6x6 paper pad and the focal image is colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I die cut the image, the Palm Trees and the sentiment with dies from my stash.  I doubled up the Palm Trees and the sentiment words for a bit of dimension and colored the Palm Trees with alcohol markers as well.

For a finishing touch, I lightly inked around the focal image with Salty Ocean Distress Ink by Ranger.  Lastly, I added some Wink of Stella to the sentiment words and placed some Card Candy to complete this fun Summer card.  Another Swap done and dusted...time to work on another!

Thanks for visiting and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Ice Cream Bouquet

Hello!  Today I'm sharing a card created using the Sweetness Digital Stamp Set by Graciellie Designs.  It's a lovely digi set with 1 focal image and 5 sentiments.  I created this card for a June Card Swap partner and it measures A2 (4.25" x 5.5").

For the background, I used a stencil and Ranger Stickles Glitter Gel in the Gold to create the very shiny and glittery pattern. The Gel has itty bitty stars and lots of glitter; it's actually very stunning.  I'm a huge fan of Stickles so this Gel was right up my alley.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and die cut the image with a scalloped oval die.  The sentiment is one that's included in the set, which I simply cut as a rectangle.  The image and the sentiment are mounted on foam tape for a bit of dimension.  Finally, I added some Card Candy for a finishing touch.

The hardest part of this card was applying the Stickles Gel consistently as I tend to be heavy handed when applying anything through a stencil.  The background is so sparkly and the picture really doesn't do it justice.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Flower Bumble Bee

I'm back today to share a card I made using Flower Bee from Bugaboo Stamps.  This is a sweet little image and makes for a quick card.  The image is easy to color and Bugaboo is one of my all time favorite digi designers.

My card is an A2 size, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the papers are from the American Crafts Everyday 6x6 paper pad, I used Wink of Stella on the Flower and Crystal Stickles on the Bees' Wings for that added Sparkle and Shine.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV Stamp Set and I thought it was appropriate as this little Bee looks like he's flying through the air, carrying his big flower and seed pods are probably probably falling off.

Thanks for the visit and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Sign It Kitty Cat Greetings

Hello and Happy Monday...or what's left of it.  It's evening now and today was busy with a dental appointment and resting this afternoon.  Today I'm quickly sharing a swap card I created using Bugaboo Stamps Sign It Kitty Cat Greetings digital stamp.

It's a super cute digi and very easy to color which makes for a quick card project.  The designer papers are from the Crate Paper Cute Girl 6x6 paper pad.  I used some Ranger Crystal Stickles and Wink of Stella for some shine and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The sentiment is from an unbranded stamp set I have in my stash.

Create Your Own Background #4 - Hugs

Hello and a Beautiful Sunday to you.  I hope your day is bright and filled with all the things you want to do.  Today I'm quickly sharing the last card I created using Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks to create a background.

I coated a piece of white 110 lb. card with Golden Satin Glazing liquid, which made the card waterproof, then experimented with alcohol inks to create a random background.  I've been trying to use up items I have in my stash that have not been used in a while and the alcohol inks were something I haven't had a play with in a while.

The sentiment is computer generated, printed on heavy parchment and cut out using a die I have in my stash.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Morning Dew to complete the card.  I've had fun playing with the alcohol inks, today I am going back to coloring up some fun images.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #3 - Dream

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope all is well with you and you have a great day planned.  Today I'm sharing card #3 in my Create Your Own Background Series.  Today's card was created using the same technique as the other cards I've shared this week:  Coating a piece of 110 lb. card with Golden Satin Glazing Liquid and having a play with Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks.

I used Kraft card for the base and cut the alcohol ink panel into thirds.  Created and printed the sentiment, die cut it and attached to card front.  Lastly, added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in the color Gold Coast.  Another unique background and using what I currently have in my stash.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #2 - Smile

Hello and Happy Thursday Evening.  I'm back to share another Create Your Own Background Card and just like the card I shared a couple days ago, this card was created in the same manner.  I used Golden Satin Glazing Liquid to coat a piece of 110 lb. white card and had a play with some Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks to create an Abstract Background.  The Glazing Liquid creates a waterproof surface on the card stock which prevents the inks from penetrating the paper.  If you do not have Yupo paper, this is a nice alternative.

I do not have a sentiment that large so the sentiment is computer generated and printed on heavy parchment paper.  I used a die I had in my stash to cut it out, then  carefully traced the letters from behind with adhesive so it would stick to the card front and still hide the glue.

This time, I cut the alcohol ink panel in half and dry embossed the front of the card base.  I finished up with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Midnight Blue.  Something different and again, my attempts to dig deep and use what I have in my stash.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #1 - Hello

Today begins a series of Create Your Own Background cards that I've decided to make.  I've been digging deep into my stash to use products I haven't used in a while.  For the next 4 days I will be sharing a card I've created using Alcohol Inks.

For this card, which measures A2, I used Ranger Alcohol Inks to create the background.  I didn't have any Yupo paper so I coated a piece of 110 lb. white card with Golden Satin Glazing Liquid.  The Glazing Liquid creates a waterproof background so I was able to play with the inks.  They didn't move as much as they would have with Yupo paper I suppose but I didn't want to purchase any - I wanted to use what I have here.

The sentiment was computer generated as I don't have a sentiment stamp that large.  I printed the sentiment of heavy parchment paper and die cut it with an oval die I had in my stash.  I carefully traced the lettering from the back with Art Glitter Glue and adhered to the card front.  Lastly, I added some Nuvo Drops in White for accent.  I like this card, the coloring is nice; I'm pleased with this one.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Roses in a Milk Bottle

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope you are well and ready for a wonderful, productive week.  We have started this day by rising early, having our breakfast and now filling the Pool after having the Liner replaced over the weekend.  The old liner was 6 years old and had developed some holes.  In a vain attempt to patch last year, we gave up, drained it and decided we would start fresh in the Spring.

Today's card features the Roses in a Milk Bottle digital stamp from Pattie's Creations.  It's for a June Swap Buddy and the image was an easy color using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Makers.  The papers are from the Crate Paper Cute Girl 6x6 paper pad.

The card measures the standard A2, I fussy cut the image and mounted on foam pads for dimension.  I finished it off by adding some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Carnation Pink.

I wish you a great day and a fantastic week.  Hopefully the sun will come out, warm up the water in the Pool and we can Swim by the weeks' end!

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Fabulous Spring Chicken

Good Sunday to you!  Today is a quick post sharing this funny digi stamp from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Chickens Collection.  I've had this collection in my stash and I'm not certain if it's available for purchase any longer.  Sparkle N Sprinkle may not be selling any longer.

I've been trying to go back through images and supplies I have in my stash to create swap cards for June.  I have a tendency to want all the newest items that come out and I've promised myself 1 purchase a month....let's see how long I can keep that up.

This card measures the standard A2, papers are from the 6x6 DCWV Playful Pets Mat Stack.  The sentiment is part of the digi collection so all that was needed to complete this card was a bit of coloring with my alcohol markers and a few sequins for sparkle.  I think my swap buddy will get a chuckle from this card.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Everything's Rosy

Hello and Happy Saturday...it's been raining for 2 days here with rain predicted for the next 7!  What better way to spend a rainy Saturday than at the Craft table with a beautiful image and some Alcohol Markers.

Today I'm sharing a Swap Buddy card created using Power Poppy's Everything's Rosy Digital Stamp Set.

This card measures 5" square and simply matted with minimal accents; Nuvo Drops and a bit of Gelly Roll Glitter pen.  I started with 2 colors of green for the leaves but didn't like it so I switched to a green palette with some yellow tint and I like it much better.  The focal image is stunning and enough for this card along with a nice sentiment which is included in the collection.

I hope you are having a great day and getting some time to yourself.  I'm off to cook supper for the family - the work is never done around here but at least I got some time to myself today.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bountiful Bouquet

Today I'm sharing a card I created using the Bountiful Bouquet Digital Stamp Set from Power Poppy Stamps.  There are 2 lovely focal images in this set along with sentiments.  I printed the images on parchment paper and colored with the Arteza Real Brush Pens.

This was my first attempt at using the Arteza Markers and coloring on parchment.  Not perfect but practice will get me closer.  My next attempt will be to print an image on Neenah Solar White cardstock, coat the image with Golden Satin Glazing Liquid and color the image with the Arteza Blendable Markers.

The papers are from the American Crafts Everyday 6x6 paper pad, I added some ribbon, tied a small bow, placed Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Simply White in random places and called this one finished.

Until Next time,  Happy Crafting!

A Kitty and Some Cactus

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  I'm back with another cute card that I created for a swap buddy.  The image is from the Gerda Steiner Spring Digital Stamp Bundle.  There are some adorable images in this bundle and my card was created using the cute Kitty and Cactus images.

The papers are from the Crate Paper Good Vibes 6x6 paper pad.  I die cut a mat for the images to sit, popped the kitty up on foam pads for dimension.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, die cut a ready made sentiment that is included in the paper pad and added some glittery ribbon to finish it off.

The Paper Funday Challenges - Anything Goes With Twist: Masculine

Hello and Happy June!  Today starts a new monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges with a theme of Anything Goes with Optional Twist of Masculine.  The sponsor for this month is Keepin' It Kawaii Design on Etsy.

My design team project was created using the optional Twist of Masculine; I created a Father's Day Card using the Fishing Trip clip art collection.  There are plenty of elements in this collection to create all sorts of cards with any theme.  They images are pre-colored so it makes for a quick and easy card.

This card measures A2 and I inked a panel that covers the entire front of base with Distress Oxide Inks.  I printed the images out twice, fussy cut and decoupaged theme for dimension.  Stamped the sentiment and Viola!  Done.  Quick, easy and Cute.

We hope you will join us at The Paper Funday Challenges this month and share your projects.  We would love to see your creations and hope we will inspire you in some way.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

"Bacon" in the Sun

Hello Everyone and Happy Tuesday!  It's been a nice, relaxing day here in Central Florida.  I did find time to craft a bit and put together this cute card.  The image is a Bugaboo Digital Stamp titled Bacon in the Sun.  This sunbathing Piggy is enjoying a cool drink, sitting on the beach somewhere tropical and is turning a bright pink!

The papers are from the Pink & Main Summer Splash 6x6 paper pad.  I colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, added accents with a white Gelly Roll Pen and placed blue sequins here and there to finish off the card. I'm pleased with it and think this image is just adorable.

That's all for now and until next time, Happy Crafting!
