Hello Everyone! I hope you are ready for May....where did April go?
Today starts a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges and the theme for May is Anything Goes with a Twist: Something for Mother.
I created 2 Mother's Day cards for my design team submissions. The first card measures 6" square and is a hand drawn image by me that I watercolored. I wanted to create something bright and cheery and I do think this accomplished that.
My second card was created using a digital stamp from A Day for Daisies titled Blooms in a Tea Cup. It was fun to color up and I think a teacup of flowers is perfect for Mom. This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").
We hope you will join us this month for the challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges. The challenge runs until 02 June and the sponsor this month is All Dressed Up Stamps.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

I adore the digital images from A Day for Daisies; they are easy to color. The face on this little girl is adorable and I enjoyed coloring with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. Although it's hard to tell in the photo, I did add Wink of Stella to the flowers and the butterflies, which are not part of the original image. I added the butterflies as a design element.
We hope you join us at Crafty Calendar Challenges this month, we look forward to seeing your creations following the theme For a Child.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Cute Love Fairy
Good Day! It's time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and this weeks' sponsor is the popular A Day for Daisies.
The theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Color Combo...create using your favorite color combo. This was difficult for me because I have so many color combos I like with purple being my favorite color. So keeping in line with my favorite color, I chose purple, blue, silver and turquois for my card which features the Cute Love Fairy from A Day for Daisies.

This image is designed for Valentine's Day (it's listed in the Valentine's Day section on ADFD website) but I thought it's versatile and can be used for Christmas, which is how I used here.
The image has been fussy cut and placed on an embossed turquois mat. I colored up this cute little fairy with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some silver beads at each corner for accent.
I hope you've been inspired to join us at Creative Knockouts this challenge and create something using your favorite color combo.
Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Snowball Scott
Hello and Happy Wednesday! It's time for another fun challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and the sponsors this week are Di's Digi Stamps and A Day for Daisies - 2 wonderful and generous sponsors that have the cutest images.
My design team project this week features the Snowball Scott image from A Day for Daisies.
He is so cute and totally chubby - just like a snowman should be in my opinion!

He is so cute and totally chubby - just like a snowman should be in my opinion!
I decided to go with a round shaped card to mimic the round, chubbiness of Scott. The circle base measures 5.5" round with the mat measuring 5.25" round; the image circle measures just a tad over 4.75".
For embellies, I added snowflakes die cut out of gold mirror card, cut the base and the mat with a scalloped edge using Cricut Design Space and added some Rock Candy Distress Glitter to the hill Scott is standing on - do Snowmen stand? Finally, I stamped the sentiment on his belly and called it finished.
This is a tent folding card with the inside finished including a stamped sentiment. I had great fun creating this project and appreciate A Day for Daisies proving this adorable image to color up; which I did with my Spectrum Noir Markers.
I hope you'll pop over to Penny's Challenges and join in the fun this week and try your hand at winning some images from our wonderful sponsors.
Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!
