Creative Knockouts - Cute Love Fairy

Good Day!  It's time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and this weeks' sponsor is the popular A Day for Daisies.

The theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Color Combo...create using your favorite color combo.  This was difficult for me because I have so many color combos I like with purple being my favorite color.  So keeping in line with my favorite color, I chose purple, blue, silver and turquois for my card which features the Cute Love Fairy from A Day for Daisies.

This image is designed for Valentine's Day (it's listed in the Valentine's Day section on ADFD website) but I thought it's versatile and can be used for Christmas, which is how I used here.

The image has been fussy cut and placed on an embossed turquois mat.  I colored up this cute little fairy with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some silver beads at each corner for accent.
I hope you've been inspired to join us at Creative Knockouts this challenge and create something using your favorite color combo.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Girls' Christmas Stocking

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges  and our sponsors this week are All Dressed Up Stamps and Di's Digi Stamps.

For my design team project, I had the pleasure of using Girls' Christmas Stocking from All Dressed Up Stamps.  This little girl is so adorable and was a pleasure to color up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

This is a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") card with 4 layers.  I wanted to keep the little girl with her Christmas stocking the main focal point but I couldn't resist to embellish with some gems along the side; I felt the left sided needed something.

I hope you've been inspired to join us at Penny's Challenges this week and enter with your own creation.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - Flutter By

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all the readers in the States.  I wish you a blessed day with lots of fun, food, Christmas Shopping and Football!

Today begins a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  The theme this challenge is Flutter By so with that theme in mind, my design team project features Butterflies.

This card is a standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").  To create the background, I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and inked with Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Bundled Sage, Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick.  I then heat embossed the sentiment on vellum, added some clear Nuvo Glitter drops and called it complete.

My design team sisters and I invite you to join us this challenge and we hope to inspire you with our Flutter By projects.

Until Next time,  Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Christmas Ornaments

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving Eve!  Today begins a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and our two sponsors this week are Fred She Said and Delicious Doodles.

Today my design team project was created with the Colorful Christmas Ornaments digital stamp set by Fred She Said.  These images are pre-colored which makes for a quick and easy holiday card.

I fussy cut the images and popped the middle bauble up on foam pads.  I layered a glitter card under a die cut mat of black which really made the baubles Pop!  This card is a standard A2 (4.25: x 5.5") with the holiday sentiment placed on the inside of the card.  I've added some Wink of Stella to the berries and the bling gems on the ornaments.  I can never get the Wink of Stella to show up on pictures; it adds just the right touch of sparkle to the card.

We hope you'll join us in the challenge this week and we hope to inspire you with our creations.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Winter Cardinal

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  It's time for another challenge at The Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog and our sponsor for this challenge is Sweet and Sassy Stamps.  The Theme for this challenge is Thankful Thoughts.

I had the pleasure of using the Cardinal Digital Stamp for my design team project and this digi is simply wonderful.  This design would work great for holiday cards as well as a Winter Birthday, a Thank You card or a Condolence message.

I chose to create a thankful holiday card with a simple greeting.  This card measures 5" x 5" and is a tent fold style.  I colored this Cardinal with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, matted the focal image on red card and popped up with foam squares.  Lastly, I added a ribbon and called it complete.

My design team sisters and I invite you to join us at Creative Knockouts, we would love to see how you've been inspired by our projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello, I hope you're well and ready for a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  Our sponsor for this week is Cute As A Button.  For my design team project this week, I used the Christmas Selfie digital image.

This is an adorable image and was sun to color up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I kept it pretty simple with just one designer paper and one red card mat.  The sentiment was something I thought of and printed out on white card and this card is the standard A2 size.

We hope you'll join us this week at Penny's and join in the fun by entering the challenge.  We also hope to inspire you with our designs using the cute images by Cute As A Button Designs.

Cardz 4 Galz - Pumpkins

Hello Everyone!  It's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and the theme this round is Pumpkins.  I wanted to make something different than the standard square card.  I've made a few round cards lately so I came across the idea to create a card shaped like a pumpkin while scrolling through Pinterest.
There are so many beautifully designed cards shaped like Pumpkins on Pinterest, I didn't use one particular style but took the general idea and put my own spin on it.

The papers are  from a paper pad I had left over from last year by Carta Bella named Hello Fall.  The ribbon, jute string and button were from my stash, the sentiment is stamped on a die cut tag and the edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  This card measures 5.25" x 5.25".

I hope you've been inspired to join us at Cardz 4 Galz for this 2 week challenge, we would love to see you there.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Mums in a Basket

Hello and it's time for a new Challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  We have 2 wonderful sponsors this week; the awesome Pattie's Creations and Maria Medel Illustrations.

I have the pleasure of working with the Mums in a Basket by Pattie's Creations and this is a lovely image to color up.  Since it's still Autumn and I'm enjoying the cooler weather, I wanted to make a warm Autumn card with this digi.

I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers to color the image, fussy cut and inked around the image and the mats with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added some sparkly gems for additional accents.  I stamped the word Grateful and Heat Embossed for a nice, bold look.   This card measures A-6 (4.5" x 6.5") and is a tent (top) folding card.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge at Penny's this week for your chance to win from one of our two sponsors.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Calendar Challenges - Biffo the Birthday Clown

Hello and Happy Saturday!  It's time for a new monthly challenge at Crafty Calendar and this month the theme is Paper Piecing.  We have 2 great sponsors this month which means there will be 2 winners...that's right....2 winners.

The sponsors this month are the fabulous Doctor Digi House of Stamps and Crafty Ribbons.  I had the pleasure of using Biffo the Birthday Clown from Dr. Digi for my Design Team Project.

Following the Paper Piecing Theme, I paper pieced 2 different colored mats, the image on a black mat, the "What a Circus" sentiment and the "Admit One" ticket.  The latter 2 are cut files from the Cricut Birthday Cakes and Carousel Cartridges.  The card is a A-6 size (4.5" x 6.5") landscape, side-fold card.

Dr. Digi also offers Biffo the Birthday Clown in a pre-colored image that makes putting a card together a quick project.  I used the pre-colored image for this card, which measures A-6, portrait, tent fold style.

I hope you'll join us at Crafty Calendar this month for your chance to win a prize from one of our generous sponsors.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Snowman Frame

Happy Thursday Everyone and I hope you are well.  It's time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the theme this challenge is CAS (Clean and Simple).

I've had the pleasure of using the Snowman Frame by Crafty Sentiments Designs who is also the sponsor for this challenge, for my design team project.

Clean and simple is not my normal style so this was a fun project to work on and I did try to make it as CAS as I could but simply couldn't resist not adding some glitter to this adorable snowman image.  The glitter is hard to see in the picture but it's there on the hat band and the light blue stripes of the scarf, also the red berries of the Holly.

I hope you'll pop over to Creative Knockouts for this challenge and join us by entering one of your CAS creations.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
