The Paper Funday Challenge #73

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday, it's the 1st Wednesday of the month and that starts a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  Our challenges are Always Anything Goes with Optional Twists and the twist this month is: Use colors Burgundy, Pink and Sage Green.

Our sponsors are the generous Not 2 Shabby and Scrappy Tails Crafts.  For my DT project, I've used the Sweet Valentine Stamp Set from Not 2 Shabby, and colored using Copic Alcohol Markers.  This set was part of a monthly subscription box and unfortunately, I could not find it on the site.

Not 2 Shabby has so many adorable sets, although this one may no longer be available, I'm confident there's something there equally as adorable.  I've cut the focal panel using a nesting stitched rectangle die, and the patterned papers are some I've had in my stash that I had purchased from Amazon.

The sentiment is included in the set, and I've added some red gems to finish off the design. Valentine's Day is creeping up on us, so it's time to bust out those cards!

The team and I hope you'll visit us and join in the challenge this month.  We always love seeing everyone's creativity.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Life Happens - Coffee Helps

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  I trust your weekend was great and you enjoyed some Spring-like weather.  It's a dreary, stormy day here so what better way to spend the day than to craft and listen to a podcast.  Then later this afternoon, watch a movie.  Have you seen Killers of the Flower Moon yet?

My card today features a coffee drinking Gnome from Not 2 Shabby.  I've colored him using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers.  Sadly, my markers have all but dried up since I've been coloring with pencils more,

I've fussy cut him and popped him on foam pads, I've kept the pattern papers minimal and added a glitter strip as an accent.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and has been popped on foam pads also.

I've used a corner chomper to round some edges and added gold gems for additional interest.  That's all I have for you today.  Enjoy your Monday and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenge #63 - Bunny Macaron

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome to Wednesday!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog, where it's Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  The Twist this month is:  The Dies Have It (use cutting dies in your design).

Our sponsors this month are the fabulous Not 2 Shabby and Altenew.  For my team project, I've used the Macaron Pets stamp set from Not 2 Shabby to create a cute Spring/Easter Card.  This set was the January 2022 Stamp and Die Set of the Month, so sadly not available for purchase, but N2S has many more adorable sets that are!

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils, the patterned papers are from the "Spring is Calling" 6x6 paper pad by P13.  The image was die cut using the coordinating die, and mounted using foam pads on a stitched die cut banner.  The sentiment is from the stamp set.

To finish the design, I've added iridescent pink sequins from my stash for that extra bling a Bunny Macaron needs,

We hope you'll pop in and join us this month.  You may just be 1 of 2 winners!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Not 2 Shabby Critter Pops

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Today is my last DT project for the Not 2 Shabby Digital Design Team.  It's been so much fun this last 3 months and the time flew by!

I'd like to share this  bright and colorful card created using one of the images from the Critter Pops Stamp Set from Not 2 Shabby.  This set is the June 2022 Stamp of the Month and has a matching die set.

I've colored the image with Alcohol Markers and the papers are stash snippets from Recollections and Color Bok.  I love the summer color combination of orange and pink, it's cheerful and happy.  Since the Pop is a Unicorn, I went with a Rainbow theme.

The layering banner die is from Alina Craft on Amazon and the sentiment strip was cut using a die from Kat Scrappiness.  The Critter Pop and sentiment have been popped up using craft foam.  Lastly, I've added black licorice twine and clear gems.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Watermelon Popsicle

Hi Friends!  I'm back with my second post for this busy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing a Cool Card that's perfect for those Summer Occasions and it features the Watermelon Popsicle digital image from Not 2 Shabby.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers, fussy cut and set aside to work on the background.  I wanted a sweet and simple layout/design so I ink blended a very pale pink over the card and adhered the panel to a card base.

I received a frilly die cut in a card swap and thought it would look nice behind the image, so it's been adhered to the panel.  The sentiment and popsicle have been popped on craft foam for dimension.  Lastly, bright pink enamel dots were added for that extra bit of interest.

I love watermelon but it's still too early in the year to find a good one, I love the melons I buy at roadside stands in July.  They are the reddest and sweetest ever.  I can't wait to get a melon, chill it and eat those sweet, juicy chunks!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bubble Tea You are Amazing

Hello, Happy Monday!  For those of us in the States, today is Memorial Day and we take this day to remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.   My Gratitude goes out to my husband, father, brothers, father-in-law and brothers-in-law for their sacrifices for me and our great country.

Today I'm sharing the adorable Boba Tea digital image from Not 2 Shabby.  This image is part of the Bes-Teas Digital Release for May 2022.

I've colored the image with alcohol markers, fussy cut and adhered to a card panel that has been ink blended with a Catherine Pooler ink.  The die cut star and sentiments were in my stash.

I've applied Glossy accents to the sentiment die cut for that extra shine.  The sentiment strip has been popped on craft foam and a few specialty sequins from Kat Scrappiness were added for extra interest.

Have a wonderful day, hug your Veteran and until next time, Happy Crafting!

I Pick You by Not 2 Shabby

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I hope you're well and enjoying your weekend.  Today I'm sharing a card created using the Stamp and Coordinating Die Set of the Month from Not 2 Shabby  This month's set is titled "I Pick You" and features an adorable strawberry loving Gnomie couple!

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers and the die cut panel was made using a slimline die set from Alina Crafts.  This is a standard slimline card meauring 8.5"x3.5".

The images were die cut with their coordinating dies; which are included in this monthly subscription.  The images are quite large, as you can see against the slimline card measurements.  The die cut windows in the focal panel have been backed with a subtle blue and white checked patterned paper from Carta Bella.

Stop by the Not 2 Shabby Shop and check out all the monthly subscription offerings.  There is someting for everyone and every budget.

Bes-Teas by Not 2 Shabby

Hello Everyone!  Today is new digital release day at the Not 2 Shabby Shop and the theme is Boba Tea.  I have to admit, I did not know what Boba (also called Bubble Tea or Pearl Tea) was so I had to look it up.

"Bubble tea is a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan in the early 1980s. It most commonly consists of tea accompanied by chewy tapioca balls"

My card features several of the Bubble Teas, all hand colored with alcohol markers and placed on a stenciled background.

I've fussy cut all the bubble teas and popped them on craft foam.  The Sentiment is included in the digital set and the background has been stenciled with the floating dots stencil from Kat Scrappiness.

In addition to stenciling with ink, I've went over the stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Paste for added sparkle and shine.

Starting Today, the Not 2 Shabby Digital Design Team is hosting an Instagram Hop!  You'll want to Hop along HERE for your chance to win a $25 Gift Voucher to the Not 2 Shabby Shop.

Hope to see you at the Hop and until next time, Happy Crafting!

This combo set was the Stamp/Die Set of the month for March 2022; you can find more info regarding all the subscription plans on offer HERE.  Also, you can purchase this set now, however it is no longer offered at subscription price.

This adorable little Lamb (I'm calling it a Lamb) is drinking a warm cup of Cappuccino and offering a Warm Hello.  The patterned papers are from the Hop into Easter Paper Pack from Kat Scrappiness.

I've colored the images with alcohol markers and die cut the square and oval using Kat Scrappiness dies.  The oval is popped on craft foam as well as the heart; the lamb is adhered flat using liquid adhesive.  Lastly, I've added Blue Belle and Pretty in Pink Pearls from Kat Scrappiness.

You're My Jam

Hello Friends!  I'm back with another post for the Not 2 Shabby Digital Creative Team.  My project today is a card created with the Jelly Jar image from the "On the Shelf" Digital Stamp Release for March 2022.

I've taken the jelly jar and added it several times, in different orientations and sizes to a panel and colored using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers.

I've chosen rainbow colors because what's more cheerful than a Rainbow?  We have Grape Jelly, Strawberry Jam, Orange Marmalade, Pineapple Spread and Mint Jelly.
.

I've kept the design sweet and simple, only adding a black mat, some Wink of Stella to the Ribbons and a few irridescent sequins here and there.

The sentiment is part of this digital set and the strip has been backed with black card and popped up for dimension.

That's all I have for you today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Not 2 Shabby Mother's Day

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm sharing a Mother's Day card created using 2 images from the newest digital release from Not 2 Shabby.  I've used the Birdhouse, Crock with florals and sentiment to create a 5.5" square card.

The background was created using the "ink smooshing" technique on watercolor card and the images have been colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I've kept the design sweet and simple, only adding 3 tiny mulberry paper rose buds and popping the sentiment strip on craft foam.  I have applied Crystal Stickles on the buds and the floral images.

Not 2 Shabby "What's on Your Shelf" Digital Release and IG Hop!

Hello Everyone!  Today the Not 2 Shabby Digital Design Team is sharing loads of inspiration featuring images from the newest digital release:  What's On Your Shelf.  There's an Instagram Hop starting at 1 pm CST (2 pm EST) today so you'll definitely want to hop with us for your chance to win a Gift Voucher to the Not 2 Shabby Shop!

For my design team project, I've used the Teapot, Cup and sentiment to create a Mother's Day card.  I've used Microsoft Publisher to arrange the images so the Cup appears in front of the Teapot.  The images are in a PNG format, which means they have a transparent background, enabling you to position the images to appear they have been masked.

I've colored the images using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer papers are from the Recollections "Patisserie" 6x6 paper pad.

To add additional interest, I've adhered an embossed strip of card to break up the two patterned papers, wrapped Altenew gold thread around the panel, popped the focal panel on craft foam and added enamel drops.

I've cut the sentiment into 2 separate strips and popped those on craft foam as well.  This new release has sweet images that are perfect for Springtime and Mother's Day cards.  Please visit Not 2 Shabby's Instagram page to start the hop here:  @not_2_shabby_shop

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Macaron Pets - The Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Hello Friends and Happy Friday!  Today begins a new challenge at The Colour Crazy Challenge Blog and the theme is Always Anything Goes as long as it's handcolored.  This round is Just for Fun and for my team project, I've used the Macaron Pets Stamp and Coordinating Die Set from Not 2 Shabby to create a 5.5" square card.

This stamp and die set were part of a monthly subscription through the Not 2 Shabby Shop and were available while supplies lasted.  The Macaron Pets are adorable and an easy color because they are large with thicker lines.  I've colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, die cut using the coordinating dies, and popped each Pet on craft foam for dimension.

The center circle was die cut from an ink smooshed panel I had left over from another project.  I wanted something to "ground" the images and break up all the white.  The only Bells and Whistles added was a bit of Wink of Stella to the Macaron filling on each Pet.  The sentiment is also from the stamp set and comes with a coordinating die as well.

Please join us at The Colour Crazy Craft Challenges; there are 2 challenges going on simultaneously so plenty of opportunity to get in on the fun!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Stay Cool with a Waffle Cone

Hello Crafty Friends!  I'm back to share a card created using a "Sweet" digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop.  It's the Waffle Cone image and this set also includes sentiments.

I love Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone..the cone is equally as good as the ice cream in my opinion.  We have a quaint Ice Cream Parlor in our neighborhood that offers Cinnamon Waffle Cones..meaning the cone tastes like Cinnamon and is divine with 2 scoops of Butter Pecan Ice Cream....but I digress, let's get to my card.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, stenciled the background with the Simple Stripes Stencil from Time 4 Tea Designs and Aquatini ink from Catherine Pooler.  The image has been fussy cut and popped on craft foam along with the sentiment.

Lastly, I've added irridescent sequins for sparkle and shine and called this card complete.  Be certain to visit again March 8th as Not 2 Shabby will be releasing new digital images and I'll have another card to share.  Also, the Digital Design Team will have an Instagram Hop on the 10th of March; you'll want to Hop along for the opportunity to win a Gift Voucher!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Carrots the Bunny by Not 2 Shabby

Hello Everyone!  Today I'm sharing an Easter Card (is it too early for Easter Cards?) featuring Carrots the Bunny and coordinating sentiments from Not 2 Shabby.  This is an adorable digital stamp set which includes 4 sentiments and 2 sizes of Carrots the Bunny.  My A2 card features the larger bunny image and Easter related sentiment.

Because the image and sentiments are digital stamps, they can be resized to match your crafting needs. I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the background panel has been scored to give it a "tile-like" appearance and I've torn strips of scrap DSP for color and interest.  Also, the carrot paper strip gives the Bunny a place to "land" instead of him appearing to "float" in the air.

Before adhering the bunny to the panel, I decided to add a snippet of gold card and black twine.  I like the look of that much better so I popped Carrots and the sentiment strips up using craft foam and adhered them to the card panel using liquid adhesive. Lastly, I've added gems from the Blue Belle Pearl Mix by Kat Scrappiness to complete the design.

Thanks for visiting today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Not 2 Shabby Designs - Latte Love

Hello Everyone and Happy Sunday!  I hope you're staying warm and enjoying your favorite hot beverage.  Speaking of hot beverages, today I'm featured on the Not 2 Shabby Instagram Page with this fun Easel Card that's all about the Coffee...more specifcially a White Chocolate Mocha Latte (which is my favorite)!

For my card, I've colored up the Holiday Latte Digital Stamped image from Not 2 Shabby using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The card base is A2 sized and folded to create an Easel Card, the papers are snippets from Recollections and American Crafts.  I'm planning on sending this card as a Valentine's Day greeting however the image is versatile.

I've used a large Tag die from Gina K. Designs to cut panels for the front and inside.  The Latte Cup has been fussy cut and to add more interest, I've inked the tag using a Coffee Stain Stencil and added a Baker's Twine Bow.

I've colored the images using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the papers are from the Bo Bunny "Sweet Moments" 6x6 paper pad.  I've die cut the focal image using a stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness.

To complete the design, I've added pink sequins, highlights using a white Gelly Roll pen and Wink of Stella to the heart on the cup and the cupcake frosting.
