Candy Cane Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Fri-YAY!  I hope you're week has been wonderful and you have plans for something fun this weekend.  For me, I'm hoping to get some Christmas packages wrapped and under the Tree along with some crafty time.

Today I have a quick share featuring an image from the "Candy Cane Christmas" stamp set by Picket Fence Studios.  I've colored the image using alcohol markers.

As I've stated many times before, I'm not a CAS kinda girl.  I love texture, color and pattern so in an attempt to go CAS with this card, I just couldn't resist splattering with Dr. Ph. Martin's White Ink.  I just can't help myself; when I look at one of my CAS designs, it always looks like it's missing something.

No other bells or whistles have been added, and a huge KUDOS to those who are CAS masters, who make their designs look stunning.  That's all for today, so until next time, Happy Crafting!

A Little Love and Pixie Dust

Happy Monday and to those in the States - Happy Memorial Day.  Today is the day we remember and honor those who served.

Today's make and share features alcohol inks and a little Fairy.

The image and sentiment are from the Hero Arts Fairy Kisses Stamp set and the die cut patterned paper was created using Tim Holtz alcohol inks on glossy card.  I've colored the Fairy using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and popped her up using foam pads for dimension.

Have a wonderful day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hi!  I'm back with a new design team project for this weeks' challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  We have two wonderful sponsors this week:  All Dressed Up Stamps and Sparkle N Sprinkle

For my design team project this week, I had the pleasure of using the Flowers for Mum digital stamp from All Dressed Up Stamps.

This digital image and sentiment are 1 image so it's very easy to put together a beautiful card.  I left this A2 sized card fairly CAS; just adding 5 sequins and some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.....I need my sparkle!

Please join us this week at Penny's challenges, we would love to have you and to be inspired by your projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - March Hares

Hello Everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and the theme for this round is March Hares.  I had the perfect image to color up for my design team challenge and it fit well with the theme.

A sweet Hare carrying his big carrot; he's definitely ready for Spring as I'm sure most everyone else is as well.

I colored him with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and die cut two mats, used some Easter paper I had in my stash along with some pink sequins for some bling.  I also added some Wink of Stella Clear to the rabbits' nose and inside of the ears; the Wink is never picked up on camera :(  This card is a standard A2 size.

We hope you will join us for the challenge at Cardz 4 Galz; we'd love to have you.  I'd also like to remind you to stop by The Paper Funday Challenges this month for a fun challenge - Anything But a Card.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Calendar Challenges - Sweet Christmas with a Friend

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  It's time for another challenge at Crafty Calendar and our sponsor this round is Lawn Fawn!  The winner will receive a $25 gift voucher and that's so exciting and so gracious of them to sponsor this challenge for us!  The Theme for our challenge is "It's Christmas Time".

This sweet image of a little girl and her Penguin friend was just so adorable, and in-line with our theme, I used it to create a card for my Design Team project.  I do not know who is credited for creating this image as this was gifted to me in a swap; if anyone knows, please leave me a comment.

I colored the images up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some Silver Wink of Stella on the snowflakes and the penguins' hat band and ball.  I kept this A2 sized card pretty simple by my standards and I'm pleased with how it turned out.

We hope you will join us at Crafty Calendar this round for your chance to win a great prize from Lawn Fawn!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Cute Love Fairy

Good Day!  It's time for a new challenge at Creative Knockouts and this weeks' sponsor is the popular A Day for Daisies.

The theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Color Combo...create using your favorite color combo.  This was difficult for me because I have so many color combos I like with purple being my favorite color.  So keeping in line with my favorite color, I chose purple, blue, silver and turquois for my card which features the Cute Love Fairy from A Day for Daisies.

This image is designed for Valentine's Day (it's listed in the Valentine's Day section on ADFD website) but I thought it's versatile and can be used for Christmas, which is how I used here.

The image has been fussy cut and placed on an embossed turquois mat.  I colored up this cute little fairy with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some silver beads at each corner for accent.
I hope you've been inspired to join us at Creative Knockouts this challenge and create something using your favorite color combo.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Girls' Christmas Stocking

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges  and our sponsors this week are All Dressed Up Stamps and Di's Digi Stamps.

For my design team project, I had the pleasure of using Girls' Christmas Stocking from All Dressed Up Stamps.  This little girl is so adorable and was a pleasure to color up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

This is a standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") card with 4 layers.  I wanted to keep the little girl with her Christmas stocking the main focal point but I couldn't resist to embellish with some gems along the side; I felt the left sided needed something.

I hope you've been inspired to join us at Penny's Challenges this week and enter with your own creation.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Hello everyone!  It's time for a new weekly challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and this weeks' sponsors are Star Stampz and Odd Ball Art Co.

The image I used for my project is from Star Stampz and she is such a cute image, mailing her wish list to the North Pole for Santa to read and hopefully fill on Christmas Day.

I added lots of visual interest to this card with ribbon, bow, snowflakes and patterned papers.  The image is colored up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the card measures 5" x 5" tent folding.

I hope you will play along this week at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and enter for your chance to win some cute images from our sponsors.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Design Team Challenge - Bath Time Deirdery

Hello and thanks for visiting!  Today I'm sharing my design team project for the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This fun image, Bath Time Deirdery is from challenge sponsor Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

The theme for the challenge this round is to use 2 or more patterned papers so I used striped and polka dot papers.   I also used a lot of creativity with Deirdery such as the pink Bubbles in her bath.  I placed clear sequins throughout to represent bubbles.

I hope you were inspired by my project this week and will join in the fun at Creative Knockouts this challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges Design Team Project - Unicorns Lil Bellyfulls

It's my design time at Creatalicious Challenges and the wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Lacy Sunshine.  The challenge has an optional twist which is Circles.  For my design, I used the Unicorns Lil Bellyfulls image to create a sweet birthday card.

This card is very colorful and cheerful; perfect for a birthday.  There is a lot of room for creativity with this design since the images are whimsical.  Going with that in mind, I colored jeans on the top unicorn.  In hindsight, I should have colored the legs the same as the body but it is fantasy after all.

I colored the image up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and did use the optional twist of a Circle to mount the focal image; also used foam squares for dimension.  This card measures 5" x 5" and is tent (top) folding.

I hope you've been inspired to join us at Creatalicious for challenge #147, hope to see you there!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Autumn

Good Evening All.  This weekend I've had the opportunity to craft up some Autumn themed projects and included in that was this card I quickly put together for my stash; I like to keep cards of various themes in my stash so I have some when needed.

Autumn has always been my favorite time of year, especially when we lived in cooler climates.  I love the fall colors, the smells and wearing hoodies and jeans.  When my son was in school, on Friday nights, we could be found under the lights at his football games.

Autumn also ushers in the start of the college football season and we are HUGE Florida State Seminoles fans so it's no wonder I love the Autumn season!

The image for this card is from one of my favs Bugaboo Stamps and it's named Autumn Sign.  The acorn mat was a freebie included in one of my papercraft magazines.  I colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some brown gems, polka dot ribbon and bow for added interest.  Also,  I split up a birthday sentiment to use only the "Happy" which I heat embossed in white.

I hope you've been inspired to create some Autumn themed projects and I hope it's starting to feel like Fall in your neck of the woods....here in Central Florida...not yet!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Design Team Project - Snow Couple Celebrate

Hello!  It's time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts and today I'm sharing my design team project using a sweet digi stamp provided the challenge sponsor Di's Digi Stamps.  This image is named To Both of You and can be found HERE.

The theme of this weeks' challenge is Inside and Out.  The object is to complete the inside of the card as well as the outside.  I've posted a pic of my project's front and inside here.

This digi is just adorable and I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the couple up.  I then used some festive papers for layering and added a sticker of a gift for the inside.  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set I've had in my stash for quite a few years.  And lastly, I placed clear sequins on the for a bit of sparkle.

I hope you've been inspired to join in the fun this week at Creative Knockouts Challenges and to visit Di's Digi Stamps for some adorable images.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Social Susan

Hello Everyone and thanks for stopping in!  Today starts another challenge week at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  It's Week #396 and the sponsors for the challenge are the wonderful and generous Cute as a Button Stamps and Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.

My image is from Cute as a Button Stamps and she is Social Susan.  She's totally keeping up with all her contacts and I'm sure updating her Instagram, Facebook and Twitter feeds as well.

I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, inked the edge of the card with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in the color Worn Lipstick and popped her up on foam tape for a bit of dimension.
The size of this card is an A-6 (4.5" x 6.5") and I used Neenah White 110 lb. card for the base.  I hope this post has inspired you to visit our sponsors this week for some great images and to join us in the fun over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  See you there!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Design Team Project - Challenge #395

Today I'm sharing with you my design team project for the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #395.  The sponsors this week are Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and Pattie's Creations.

This week I used the funny and cute Rita on a Scooter image from Dr. Digi.  This image just makes me smile and reminds me of my mother.  If she were still with us, she would be riding her scooter all around and this sentiment is exactly something she would say!

I colored Rita and her scooter up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used some digital papers that look like a quilt for the layer over my base.  I added some blue gems and a sentiment I printed from my computer.  I have a file of sentiments that I save when I come across something I like.  When I need a sentiment that I don't have a stamp for, I go through my list and print something out.  I just change the font and size to match what I need.

I hope you were inspired to join us over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week for your chance to win some awesome images from our two sponsors.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Shop Til You Drop

It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and my design team project for this week is an adorable digi from one of the challenge sponsors:  Time for Tea Designs on Etsy.  I used the image Shop Til You Drop and she was so much fun to color.

I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and embellished with some red gemstones.  I die cut the image out of Neenah White 110 lb. cardstock as well as the little tag.  I thought the sentiment was cute with some added embroidery thread acting as a ribbon.

Treat yourself with a digital image from Time for Tea Designs.  I hope my post today inspired you to join us in the challenge this week and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge - Children Singing

It's time for another fun challenge at Crafty Creations.  My design team project for Challenge #372 is this adorable image named Kids Singing by the challenge sponsor Kinda Cute by Patricia.

I had fun coloring this digital image with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and instead of creating a standard fold card, I went for an Easel card.  The designer paper I used is a digital download of Winter Themed paper from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine.  I couldn't resist adding some glitter tape from Cricut and sequins in blue and green for that extra bit of sparkle.

I hope you'll join in thee fun at Crafty Creations and until next time. Happy Crafting.

Crafty Calendar Challenges - August Design Team Project

Hello Everyone - it's August and that means it's time for another Challenge at Crafty Calendar Challenge.  This month the theme is "Dots and/or Stripes" and the prize sponsor is the wonderful A Day for Daisies.

In keeping with the theme of Dots and/or Stripes, I simply couldn't decide which one to use so I decided on both!

The striped paper is designer paper I had in my stash from last years' Christmas card creating and the red paper was dry embossed using a Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The image was provided by A Day for Daisies and it's the Holly Berry Fairy.  Such a sweet little Fairy nestled in a sprig of Holly Berries and leaves.  I colored her using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

Please stop by Crafty Calendar Challenges this month and enter for your chance to win some sweet images from A Day for Daisies.  I hope you were inspired to create something lovely, enjoy your August and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Wow, it's August already and time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  Today I'm sharing my design team project for the challenge.  We are to follow the sketch below so I decided to go with a Fall/Autumn Theme:

A lot of die cutting went in to this card...everything but the card base and the mats were die cut.  I colored the images with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival ink in the color Potting Soil.  I'm please with the card and it's very reminiscent of Autumn with all the wonderful colors.

I hope you will join us at Cardz 4 Galz for a fun challenge.  My design team sisters and I enjoy providing inspiration for you and hope you are inspired by our creations of Love.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
