Inspiration Station Challenge #85 - May 2026

Hi Friends!  Wow, it's May already (where did the last 4 months go?) and it's also the 1st Monday of the month so it's time for a new challenge at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  Our inspiration photo is apropos for this time of year:

The happy young people in the photo have lots to look forward to, and this inspiration photo doesn't have to be about graduation, it could also be about Congratulations or happiness, or togetherness, use your imagination with this one.

I remembered I have a stamp specifically for Grads in my stash, so I went digging around and found the "Hats Off to You" stamp and coordinating die set from Colorado Craft Company.  I've created a Congratulations Card that will go to my neighbor, who has a grandson graduating college soon.

I wanted to go Simple with the design, so I've used a circle mask from Lavinia Stamps to ink blended a circle that reminds me of the Earth.  I've colored the image with alcohol markers, die cut and popped on foam pads.

Before placing the images, I splattered the ink blending with water and white ink.  The sentiment is from the same set and was heat embossed.  After looking at the design, I was reminded of the old saying "you've got the world by the tail".  I've also finished the inside with another sentiment and images from the set.

The team and I hope you'll visit us this month and share your inspired projects. Remember, the picture prompt can be interpreted in so many ways, so don't let that stop you and please stop by to see what my creative teamies have come up with.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Magic Time!

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  We've finally recovered from Hurricane Milton, we've had contractors in and out with estimates for repairs but it's a small price to pay, and I consider ourselves beyond blessed as it could have been so much worse.  Our prayers continue to go out to South Florida, North Carolina and all areas hit with damages.

I've had some time to play in the craft room and wanted to share this cute card, created for Halloween/Autumn, although I don't think the set was created for Halloween or Autumn. It's the Magic Time Stamp Set from Colorado Craft Co. and I love how big the images are.  Folks, the images in this set are large, the entire pumpkin didn't fit on the A2 sized card panel.

I've stamped the image on Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper and painted using my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  After the painting was completely dry, I used a circle mask from Lavinia Stamps to create a halo around her wand.  Then trimmed the panel slightly, and adhered to a black cardbase.

To finish the design, I splattered with gold watercolor paint, no other bells and whistles were added, I intend to post to a dear friend overseas and didn't want any bulkiness going through the international post.

I hope you like her and her big pumpkin, I think she may represent Cinderella, what do you think?  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge - Snowmen and Bunnies

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!  I trust everyone had a very Happy Christmas and Joyous New Year.  I'm ready to take 2024 by the horns and make it great.  Today starts a new challenge month at The Inspiration Station Challenge and we have a very peaceful scene for our inspiration prompt:

I was inspired by the snowy scene, the cold air and the brightness of the moon, so for my project, I've used the Snowmen and Bunnies stamp set from Colorado Craft Company (featuring the adorable drawings of Anita Jeram) to create my card:

I've colored the images using my Prismacolor Pencils, then ink blended a soft circle using templated from Lavinia Stamps to highlight the scene.  I've kept the design fairly CAS, added some snowflake embellies and sequins for added interest.

We hope you'll play along with us, we love seeing how the inspiration prompt inspires everyone.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Make Art

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday!  Today is a quick share featuring the new to my craft stash Colorado Craft Company Set titled Make Art.  The Anita Jerum images are precious and I'm a huge fan.

I've kep the design CAS, allowing the artistic mice to take center stage.  They are quite the Artists!

I've colored the scene with alcohol markers and matted the focal panel.  Wink of Stella has been added to the flowers but it's always hard to see in photos.

That's all from me today.  Now I'm off to have a pedicure, go to the grocery for tomorrow's holiday meal and then home for a swim..barring rain doesn't spoil it for me.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!
