Classic Design Challenge Nov/Dec 2024

Hi Friends, I'm back with my second post for this Friday, as it's a new challenge month at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  Our generous sponsor this month is Mirtillamente and I've used one of the holiday icons from the Svario About Christmas No. 1 digital set.  This set includes 6 Christmas icons that are cute and easy to color.  I've chosen the Penguin 1 for my Christmas design.

Isn't this little fella adorable?  I love Penguins and especially in Holiday cards, which I've chosen to create here.  I've colored this little guy with alcohol markers and fussy cut him, then popped him on foam pads for dimension.

The patterned papers are from the "Winter Time" 6x6 paper pad by Carta Bella, the blue tones give it that Frosty feel.  I used a cut apart as a panel for him to land on, I liked the small tree on the bottom left.  The Joy die cut and shadow are from Paper Roses Studio.  I cut the word from blue glitter card, and the polka dot ribbon is from my stash.  Lastly, silver gems from Kat Scrappiness were added for additional interest.

Please stop by the challenge and join in the fun!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #4 - Bingo

Hello!  I hope you're having a Terrific Tuesday!  Today the Holiday Chaos continues at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge Blog with a game of  B-I-N-G-O.  In addition to that, it's New Release day and there is a Pop Up Freebie available to all until 7 pm EST.

For my design team project, I colored up the Little Penguin Decorate Tree digital image and have a Bingo with Designer Paper, Bugaboo Image and Die Cuts.

This image makes me smile, I love Penguins anytime of the year but at Christmas, they are especially cute!  My designer papers are from the Echo Park "My Favorite Christmas" 6x6 paper pad, the snowflake die cuts were made using dies from Gina K. Designs and the sentiment is from a stamp set that came along with a UK Papercrafting Magazine I purchased at Barnes and Noble. For a final touch to my scene, I added Crystal and Gold Stickles for added Bling.

Please stop by the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and join in the fun.  Lot's of prizes up for grabs and lot's of inspiration from the Team!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges #457

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  This round we have 2 wonderful sponsors:  Sheepski Designs and Bugaboo Stamps.

For my design team project, I had the pleasure of using Sheepski Designs sweet image titled Catch.  Two little penguins floating on ice and playing Catch with a Snowball.

This card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5").  I masked off the images and inked the background with Distress Oxide inks.  I used Glossy Accents on the snowball and the penguins cool shades.  In hindsight, I would not have doodled along the top and bottom edge as I'm not liking it.  These are such adorable, chubby little penguins and I love them!

Please join us this week at Penny's and enter for your chance to win some fabulous images from our sponsors.

Also, I would like to remind everyone of the challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  It's a monthly challenge for all things Paper.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Calendar Challenges - Sweet Christmas with a Friend

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  It's time for another challenge at Crafty Calendar and our sponsor this round is Lawn Fawn!  The winner will receive a $25 gift voucher and that's so exciting and so gracious of them to sponsor this challenge for us!  The Theme for our challenge is "It's Christmas Time".

This sweet image of a little girl and her Penguin friend was just so adorable, and in-line with our theme, I used it to create a card for my Design Team project.  I do not know who is credited for creating this image as this was gifted to me in a swap; if anyone knows, please leave me a comment.

I colored the images up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some Silver Wink of Stella on the snowflakes and the penguins' hat band and ball.  I kept this A2 sized card pretty simple by my standards and I'm pleased with how it turned out.

We hope you will join us at Crafty Calendar this round for your chance to win a great prize from Lawn Fawn!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
