Monochrome Hello Friend

Hello and Happy Wednesday and I hope you've had a lovely day.  It's early evening as I type this post and I'm sharing a Monochrome Friendship Card created with the Gina K. Designs Forever Flowers Stamp set which is part of the Forever Flowers Card Kit.

I love color but was inspired to create a Black and White card after watching a Gina K. You Tube Video.  Her card was stunning so I wanted to give it a go.  I stamped the images with Versafine ink, die cut with the matching dies; which are part of the kit, and arranged all on a die cut oval panel.  I die cut two card panels with Kat Scrappiness Stitched Rectangle Dies, embossed the white panel with a Brick embossing folder, added clear gems and a gingham ribbon.  That completed this Monochromatic card; I do like the final result.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Deck the Halls - Fa-La-La

Hello and Happy Monday!  We are quickly approaching the holidays and I've been busy with Christmas Card making.  Today's make and share features foil, a die cut, designer paper and lots of Holiday Spirit!

I created a simple and quick card with papers from the Echo Park "Lumberjack Christmas" 6x6 paper pad, a Fa-La-La die cut from red foil paper and red sequins.  A super easy and festive card for the holidays.

I hope you were able to make progress on your holiday crafting this past weekend.  I'm going to try and work on cards again this week with another power session the weekend coming up.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Yellow Daisies

Happy Friday!  The month of July flew by and the Autumn Season will be here before we know it,  I'm ready for some cooler weather; at least cooler for Florida Standards...80's instead of 90's LOL.

Today's make and share is a bright and cheerful card using an Embossed Embossing Technique....I'll explain:

I dry embossed a white card panel with a Daisies Folder but before embossing, I covered one side of the embossing folder; the raised side, with Versamark Embossing and Watermark Ink.  I embossed and sprinkled fine white embossing powder over the entire piece of card, then heat embossed the panel.

After cooling, I inked the embossed panel with Squeezed Lemonade and Scattered Straw Distress Inks and was left with rustic Daisy panel.   I die cut 2 stitched circles and stamped a sentiment from Kelly Creates, added a ribbon and bow to complete the card.  I am very pleased with the outcome and will be experimenting with this technique again.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Welcome 2019!

Happy New Year and Welcome 2019!   All the holiday décor has been packed away, the lights are off the house, the floors have been swept and our dinner is in the oven.  I'm starting 2019 off to a good start and I hope you are too.

I have lots of crafting plans this coming year:  I want to venture into the Glitter Tumblers and also being more proactive with selling.  My dream has always been crafting for a living but in reality, I know that won't pay the bills so all I really want is to support my crafting habits.  If I apply myself, hopefully I will be able to do just that.

In addition, I'm starting a new Challenge Blog that debuts tomorrow (02 Jan 2019).  It's a monthly challenge with a prize awarded to a randomly chosen winner.  I hope you will join us in our challenges this year, please visit The Paper Funday Challenges for your chance to win!

I wish you and yours a Healthy, Prosperous, Fun and Creative 2019!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

All Hallows Eve

Happy Saturday Everyone!  It's getting closer to All Hallows Eve and today I'm sharing a quick and simple card I created using the Cricut Potions and Spells Cartridge.

I kept it pretty simple using Traditional Halloween colors and some gems,  I colored purple with an alcohol marker, for the skulls' eyes.  The card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5") and the inside is finished with a stamped sentiment.

I have one more festive Halloween card to share before the 31st of October so stay tuned.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Boo..I Can See You

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by.  Today begins another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor for our challenge this round is All Dressed Up Stamps.  I had the pleasure of using the Boo..I See You digi stamp for my design team project this challenge and it's an adorable image!

The theme for this challenge is Halloween, using the colors Purple, Black, Orange and Green.  I incorporated all those colors in this project and I'm thoroughly pleased with how the card turned out.

This card measures the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is black card matted with a digital paper print I had in my stash along with a green mat for the focal image.  I inked around the image with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and added some sequins in the colors of purple, green and orange to finish it off.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge at Creative Knockouts for your chance to win some cute images from All Dressed Up.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

There's a bunch of Hocus Pocus Going On!

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  Today I'm sharing another Halloween card that has been paper pieced.  The three dancing witches remind me of the witches from Hocus Pocus; the images are from the Cricut Cartridge Potions and Spells.

The images are 3-layered:  purple, orange and black.  I embossed a mat of gray card with a Halloween embossing folder and added a strip of patterned paper to give these witches a dance floor.  This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and was a simple one to create, no extra embellishments added as I thought the image was enough.

I hope you were inspired and will try your hand at paper piecing.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges - Shaped Card

Hello!  Today it's time for challenge #149 at Creatalicious Challenges.  The theme is Anything Goes with an option of using the color purple.  The sponsor this challenges is the incredible Simon Says Stamp!

It's getting close to All Hallows Eve so I created this shaped card using the Cricut cut image Spooky from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  I did use the color purple in my design team project and added the die cut Witch as an extra embellishment.  I also added Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle and Ranger Glossy Accents to the middle of the eyes.

This shaped card measures 4.5" x 7" and I made an envelope from black card.  When I mail, I will address the envelope with a gold marker.

I hope you will join us for the challenge at Creatalicious; a huge thank you to Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring this challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - A Puppy's Halloween

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another fun challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and the sponsors this week are the fabulous Sparkle N Sprinkle and Imagine That Digi Stamps.

This week I had the pleasure of creating my Design Team project with this adorable image from Sparkle and Sprinkle named A Puppy's Halloween.

Sparkle N Sprinkle offers both pre-colored and black/white images so you can choose to color your own or use the pre-colored image for a quick card; which is what I've done here.  This card is an A6 size (4.5" x 6.5") top folding (tent fold) design.  I've added some hand stitching and matted using just 1 piece of orange card.  I added purple sequins as well as the using the sentiment provided with this image package.  So quick, easy and super cute for Halloween!

We hope you'll join in the fun this week at Penny's Challenges and create something awesome for your chance to win from one of our amazing sponsors this week.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're a Scream

Hello Everyone and thanks for visiting today!  It's getting closer to All Hallows Eve and I've been busy creating some spooky cards for the occasion.  It's been a while since I've used my Cricut for cutting files and paper piecing so for this card, I used the Potions and Spells Cricut Cartridge.

Two spooky Owls perched in an old tree, set against an glowing moon!  I do love paper piecing and forgot how much I missed it so stayed tuned for more paper pieced cards coming soon!

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Shaped Cards

Hello and thanks for visiting!  Today I am sharing shaped cards I created using the Cricut Design Space.  First up is a cute Witches Boot image that I doubled in order to create a front and back, then welded together back to back to create a fold.

The image can be found in the Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge.  It is a paper pieced project which means the base of the card is the purple, another piece to layer is the orange piece and the last to layer is the black piece.  I added some die cuts; the spider and the bat as extra embellishments and applied clear Wink of Stella to them.  The little pumpkin is a sticker from the Dollar Tree.

I'm pleased with the outcome of this card and I definitely see more shaped cards in my future.  I hope you have been inspired to try some shaped cards as well.  If you don't have access to Cricut Design space or other cutting machines, try using dies or even drawing yourself an image.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
