Happy Mail - Pammie's Inky Pinkies

Hello!  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor this round is The Cutting Cafe.  This challenge has a theme which is Orange.  For my Design Team Project, I had the pleasure of creating a shaped card from the Cutting Cafe.

The Cutting Cafe offers files in an SVG format for cutting machines such as the Cricut and Silhouette.  If you do not have a cutting machine, they also offer files in a JPG format for hand cutting.  Also included in your purchase are instructions and recommended dimensions for your project.

I used the Happy Mail Digital File in the SVG format, uploading it to Cricut Design Space.  I cut the recommended files in 3 different colors - the Shadow layer in solid Orange, the Middle or body of the card in White and the Outer Overlay in a Polka Dot Patterned card.

I wanted to embellish my card so I used die cuts and green gems.  To give the card a bit of dimension, I inked around the images with distress inks.  I am pleased with the finished project, it was very easy to put together.
Please stop by Pammie's Inky Pinkies and enter your Orange themed project for a chance to win a gret prize from The Cutting Cafe.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Sushi

Today's make and share features images and sentiment from the new Gina K. Designs stamp set I Like the Way You Roll, alcohol marker coloring, stenciling and heat embossing.

The happy Sushi and chop sticks were heat embossed with black embossing powder and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, then cut out with the matching dies.  I  arranged all on a small focal panel along with the stamped sentiment, which makes me laugh every time I read it!

I stenciled another piece of card with the Fizzy Stencil, which is also new this month from Gina K. Designs, using Pumice Stone Distress Inks and a very light touch. I wanted everything to POP so I backed with black card.  For the final touch on this A2 sized card, I added clear sequins for that bit of sparkle and placed the Sushi on an Action Wobble so he or she will dance and wiggle.

I think this Sushi is so stinkin' cute and the stamp set has other Sushi inspired images and lots of funny sentiment puns, which makes this set adorable.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Everyday Is A Gift

Happy Sunday!  I hope your day is going great and you find time for yourself.  Today's make and share features Butterflies, Heat Embossing and Ink Blending.

I recently purchased a box of unbranded stamps from a Church Tag Sale and this butterfly and floral stamp set was included.  I started with ink blending a panel with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink and splattered it with water.  After drying, I stamped and heat embossed with Bronze powder and matted the focal panel with black card.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV set which I stamped on a tag and added Bakers Twine for an embellishment.  The A2 card is simple and understated for me....I like lots of DSP and coloring so I'm pleased with this one.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Be Like The Lotus

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Today's make and share features one of the new stamp sets from Gina K. Designs, heat embossing and alcohol marker coloring.

I used the new Lovely Lotus stamp set and matching dies from Gina K. Designs to stamp, heat emboss in Gold and cut out the large Lotus Flower and Lilly pad.  I colored both images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and stamped the sentiment, which is also part of the set to create this A2 sized card.  For a final touch, added some clear sequins for a bit of sparkle.

It's a lovely set and was part of a card kit that includes other stamp sets, matching dies, card stock and a stencil.  I'll be featuring more cards made with the sets in the kit in the coming weeks.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Little Daisy

Hello and welcome back!  Today begins a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge and the sponsor this round is the talented Ching-Chou Kuik.  For my 2nd Guest Designer project, I had the pleasure of using the Little Daisy digital image.  My card features Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker coloring, DSP from Bo Bunny and Carta Bella, Die Cutting, Sentiments from an Unbranded Set and Glitter.

I created an A2 sized card with an Autumn theme.  She's named Little Daisy but I decided to turn the daisies into Fall Flowers.  I colored the image with alcohol markers, die cut the focal image and popped up the sentiment with foam pads for dimension.  Lastly, I used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhere Recollections Chocolate Glitter to the flower centers for that touch of sparkle and shine.

Please stop by The Colour Crazy Challenge and enter your creation for a chance to win some fabulous and beautiful digital art from Ching-Chou Kuik.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Grand Garden

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I hope you're well and your week is humming along.  Today's make and share features a beautiful, large flower and sentiment from the Gina K. Designs stamp set Grand Garden.

This is my type of CAS and clean and simple isn't my style but I am trying to branch out and try new things.  I started by watercoloring a panel, then heat embossed the floral image and sentiment.  Lastly, backed the focal image with black card, added sequins and sprayed the project with Shimmer Spray, which you can see some of in the picture.  My Grand Garden card is complete!

I would like to remind you of the challenge currently going at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Back to School.  There is still plenty of time to enter as it's a Monthly challenge and you can enter up to 4 times with unlimited entries in other challenges.  The best bit...the Sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps!  Hope to see you there.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Be The Sunshine

Hello Everyone, today starts a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the winner of this weeks' challenge will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to Unity Stamp Company.

For my design team project this round, I created an A2 sized card using the Simon Says Stamp Set titled Hello Sunshine from the August Card Kit.  The focal image and sentiment are from the same set.

I stamped the sun rays using Distress Ink in the color Squeezed Lemonade and used a Quickie Glue pen to trace the rays with the glue.  I then sprinkled an iridescent glitter in the color Phoenix from Painted Valley Designs over the glue and let it dry thoroughly.  Phoenix is a Yellow Glitter so I wasn't bothered the distress ink didn't give a crisp stamp.

To finish up the card, I cut a small piece of black card to back the focal image and used a Polka Dot DSP from The Basics 2 by The Paper Studio.  Lastly, I wrapped ribbon from Gina K. Designs and tied a simple bow knot.

I hope you'll visit Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge blog this week and enter for your chance to win the Unity Stamp Gift Certificate.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Let's Chill

Hello Everyone!  I hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend.  Today's make and share features an oldie but goodie stamp set from Hero Arts, heat embossing and ink blending.

I stamped and heat embossed various images from an older Hero Arts set that I have in the stash to create my own background.  I ink blended a rainbow using Distress Oxide Inks and nounted on a black card panel.  Lastly, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added clear sequins.  The Lips image is from a stamp set by Maymay Made It.

Quick and easy card to keep those summer vibes going but summer is quickly coming to an end with school starting soon, maybe it's started in your area already.  I can remember as a child, we didn't start school until after Labor Day!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're The Best

Hello and Happy Sunday!  It's another Hot and Steamy day here in Florida and today is a quiet day around the house.  I've had an opportunity to create some projects and today's make and share is an A2 sized card created with a background stamp, a Butterfly and Distress Inks.

I started with stamping and heat embossing with the Rose Lace background stamp from Gina K. Designs.  I inked this panel with Spun Sugar Distress Ink to give it a soft Victorian Feel.  I used a Butterfly and sentiment stamp from my stash to stamp the focal images which I then heat embossed, colored with a mixture of Blue Lagoon, Seedless Preserves Distress inks and water. Lastly, I splattered some Seedless Preserves, popped the panel up on foam pads and added some clear sequins.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Enjoy All The Little Things

Good Saturday to All.  Today's make and share features a stamp from Gina K. Designs and Ink Blending.

I've been thinking about Autumn the last couple of days as it's been so hot and humid here in Florida.  This is the rainiest summer I can remember in a very long time.  Although we really do not experience Fall weather like most, Autumn is my favorite time of year and I was inspired to create something with an Autumn feel.

The stamped image is from the Gina K. Designs Natural Silhouettes stamp set and the subtle background stamp is the Gina K. Designs Petite Flourish Background Stamp.  I blended Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Fossilized Amber and Bundled Sage for the large background and used Antique Linen on the focal mat.  The sentiment is from an unbranded set I had in my stash.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - Summer Collage

Today is the 1st Wednesday of the month and a new Challenge has started at The Paper Funday Challenges.  Our sponsor for August is the awesome and crazy talented Bugaboo Stamps and the theme is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist: Back to School.

For my design team project, I used the Summer Collage digital image and colored up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The image contains some sweet summer drawings and since we are fast approaching the Autumn Season, I thought I would give Summer a last hooray.

My card measures 5" square and I've used 1 black mat on top of the card base.  As a final touch, I applied Wink of Stella over lots of areas for that sun-kissed sparkle.  This was an enjoyable color; easy and quick and it turned into a great card.

Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  We would love to see your creations and we hope to inspire you with ours!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Big Hugs

Hello!  Today's make and share was inspired by a Gina K. Designs You Tube Video.  I love watching card making videos; I get lots of inspiration in addition to learning some new techniques and being reminded of old techniques as well.

This card features an embossed and inked background panel made to look like a window with several panes.  The look was achieved by laying down washi tape, inking over it and adhering a large Sentiment Die cut to the center.

I used Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks to color the panel and for a final touch, applied Wink of Stella over the Die Cut Sentiment.  Fairly quick and simple card, the hardest part was waiting for the ink to dry!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Everyday Is An Adventure

Hello and Happy Monday!  I'm back with another make and share for today; an A2 sized card that features a big sentiment and is basically a Clean and Simple Design.  CAS isn't my typical style as I like to use lots of Designer Series Paper, layers and color up digi stamps however I'm trying to broaden my styles to embrace all sorts.

I started by inking just the center section of a card panel by taking a scrap piece of card and tearing it on 2 sides to get rugged edges.  I inked the middle portion of the card with a combination of Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Speckled Egg and Bundled Sage.

After the ink blend dried, I chose some botanical stamps from my stash and a sentiment stamp from Kelly Creates; leaving the images colorless except for the middle of the flower, which I glued Peacock Glitter from Recollections using a Quickie Glue Pen (my "go to" for adhering loose glitter in small areas).  For the final touch, added flat back pearls and mounted on on a light blue mat.

I enjoyed making this simple design and look forward to creating another.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Christmas Teddy and Friends

Hello Everyone!  Today is my first Design Team Project for the Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  I'm honored to be on the Team and excited to share as well as be inspired by all the lovely creations posted on the blog.

The sponsor for Challenge 2031 at Pammie's is Di's Digi Stamps and there is a wide array of cute digis in the online Shoppe.  Please stop by and check out what Di has to offer.

For my design team project, I used an Adorable Christmas Bear image from Di's Digi Stamps that I've had in my stash for a couple of years.  I couldn't find the image in the online shoppe so it may be retired, however there are so many adorable images to choose from so don't fret about not finding this particular one.

I kept this A2 card very simple using no mats or DSP;  just the image sized large to cover most of the front of the card.  I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color and added some white details with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.  For a finishing touch, added some red card candy pieces which accented the card in a nice way.

Please stop in at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and enter the challenge for your chance to win some adorable images from Di's Digi Stamps.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're Stinkin' Cute!

Hello and Happy Sunday!  As I sit here waiting for the rains from Tropical Storm Isaias to move through, I wanted to share today's make and share.  It's a cute A2 card featuring stamps and coordinating dies from the Lawn Fawn You're Stinkin' Cute set, DSP from The Paper Studio's 6x12 paper pad titled The Basics 2, Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker coloring and Baker's Twine.

A quick and easy card to put together, the images are small so not much coloring involved and the papers coordinated perfectly with the images.  I popped up the little Skunk for dimension and die cut the oval for a focal point.  Added the Baker's Twine as a final touch.

Today is truly a lazy day, I feel that way when it rains but the Hurricane has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm so it's just going to be intermittent rains, nothing too serious.  Have a great day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

All You Need Is Love

Happy August 1st!  Today's make and share is a quick card I created using the Prima Marketing 6x6 paper pad titled Love Clippings, a large word die and sentiment from Crafters Companion, Glitter Card from Recollections, diamond shaped die cuts and Kraft Card.

My card measures A2 (4.25" x 5.5") and I cut several diamond shaped pieces of the Prima DSP to create a Shabby Chic Quilted look.  I assembled the pieces on a separate piece of scrap paper, then mounted on brown cardstock.  I die cut the word sentiment out of Glitter paper from Recollections and stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of the DSP.  For the final touch, added some flat back pearls and called it complete.  Very easy and not too time consuming however I'm a perfectionist so those diamond shapes needed to be just so.

I hope you enjoyed my make today and until next time, Happy Crafting!
