Stay Cool with a Waffle Cone

Hello Crafty Friends!  I'm back to share a card created using a "Sweet" digital stamp from the Not 2 Shabby Shop.  It's the Waffle Cone image and this set also includes sentiments.

I love Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone..the cone is equally as good as the ice cream in my opinion.  We have a quaint Ice Cream Parlor in our neighborhood that offers Cinnamon Waffle Cones..meaning the cone tastes like Cinnamon and is divine with 2 scoops of Butter Pecan Ice Cream....but I digress, let's get to my card.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, stenciled the background with the Simple Stripes Stencil from Time 4 Tea Designs and Aquatini ink from Catherine Pooler.  The image has been fussy cut and popped on craft foam along with the sentiment.

Lastly, I've added irridescent sequins for sparkle and shine and called this card complete.  Be certain to visit again March 8th as Not 2 Shabby will be releasing new digital images and I'll have another card to share.  Also, the Digital Design Team will have an Instagram Hop on the 10th of March; you'll want to Hop along for the opportunity to win a Gift Voucher!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Birthday Notebook

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the theme is Anything Goes.  Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe and I've chosen to create a Notebook using a template from our sponsor.

The template I've used to create this Birthday/Address Notebook is the Notebook Cover Template which happens to be a PDF file however it's easy enough to print out the template and take measurements.

The notebook meaures 8" H x 4" W and I've used papers from the Kat Scrappiness Birthday Essentials 6" x 8" paper pack to decorate.  This PDF file also contains a pocket template for the inside.

Using my Crop-A-Dile, I punched 3 holes in the Spine that were evenly spaced and sewed a bookbinding using Baker's Twine.  I used my Dymo Label Maker to create a Title and adhered the strips to a panel that has been punched with a decorative edge.

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies, we would love to see your projects.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Shamrock Happy Mail

Hello and Happy Saturday!  The Kat Scrappiness Team is showcasing projects that feature Kat Scrappiness Embellishments because a SALE on All Embellishments begins today!  ALL embellishments are 20% Off with the coupon code:  EMBELLISHMENTS.  This sale is active today 26 February through 03 March 2022.  You can find the Shop HERE.

My project today features Over the Rainbow Clay Embellishment Sprinkles.  I have created a 5.5" square Shamrock Shaker card using the Stitched Scalloped Nesting Heart Dies to construct the shamrock petals / shaker elements.

I've added texture and color to the background by embossing a panel and blending a light layer of bright green ink just behind where the shamrock is adhered.  The sentiment is a sentiment die from the Kat Scrappiness Happy Mail Mini Slimline Envelope Die Set, which I've cut from Gold Glitter Craft Foam.  I've also added Apple Green Pearls to the center heart.

Kat Scrappiness has a huge variety of embellishments and if you're like me, you cannot create a project wthout adding gems, sequins, droplets, etc.  I LOVE embellishing!

Thanks for stopping by; until next time - Happy Crafting!

Fancy Feathers by Angie Blom

Hello Friends!  Today I have a quick post featuring a card I've created with a digi stamp from the Fancy Feathers Digital Stamp Set by Angie Blom.

This digital set includes images, sentiments, A2 / slimline panels and an 8.5" x 11" printout.  It's a huge set and this design caught my eye.  I'm guessing it's a Zentangle but not a lengthy coloring project; I cannot sit long enough to finish a large and intricate Zentangle; no patience.

I've colored the images using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the semtiment is included in the set.  I've die cut the focal panel and black mat using Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness.

To finish the design, I've added faux crystal gems in a purple color.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #24 - Court Jester / Mardi Gras

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Inspiration Station.  The inspiration photo is a festive one and here it is:

This photo immediately brought to mind Mardi Gras.  My husband and I visited New Orleans for Mardi Gras very early in our marriage.  He had a leave from the Military, we were living in Columbus Georgia and I was expecting our oldest son.  We decided to spend the week in New Orleans and Wow, what an experience!  We were walking down Beale Street and a "Court Jester", much like this one, gave me a handful of bead necklaces.  We had a great time that week and I think the visit may have inspired my son in the womb...he has always been mischievious and a practical Joker!

My DT card today features the Harlequin Digital Stamp from The Paper Shelter.  I've had this digi stamp in my collection and totally forgot about it until I started a search for this challenge.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and stenciled the background with a diamond stencil I created using my Cricut Cutting Machine.  The sentiment is from an OLD Recollections stamp set and is heat embossed using fine detail white powder.  The card measures 5.5" square and Gunmetal sequins have been added for sparkle and shine.

Please join us this round at The Inspiration Station.  Our sponsor this round is the talented Alex Syberia Design, who is offering a Gift Voucher to her Etsy Shoppe.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Carrots the Bunny by Not 2 Shabby

Hello Everyone!  Today I'm sharing an Easter Card (is it too early for Easter Cards?) featuring Carrots the Bunny and coordinating sentiments from Not 2 Shabby.  This is an adorable digital stamp set which includes 4 sentiments and 2 sizes of Carrots the Bunny.  My A2 card features the larger bunny image and Easter related sentiment.

Because the image and sentiments are digital stamps, they can be resized to match your crafting needs. I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the background panel has been scored to give it a "tile-like" appearance and I've torn strips of scrap DSP for color and interest.  Also, the carrot paper strip gives the Bunny a place to "land" instead of him appearing to "float" in the air.

Before adhering the bunny to the panel, I decided to add a snippet of gold card and black twine.  I like the look of that much better so I popped Carrots and the sentiment strips up using craft foam and adhered them to the card panel using liquid adhesive. Lastly, I've added gems from the Blue Belle Pearl Mix by Kat Scrappiness to complete the design.

Thanks for visiting today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Make a Wish Birthday Essentials

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm featured on the Kat Scrappiness Blog showcasing a bright and cheerful Birthday card created with new products from the February 2022 Release.

Earlier this month, Kat Scrappiness released the Birthday Essentials products, which consist of designer papers, dies and embellishments all guaranteed to make birthday card creating a Snap.

My A2 card today features die cuts from the Birthday Essentials Die Set, Make a Wish Sentiment Die with Shadow and DSP from the Birthday Essentials 6x8" paper pack.

This card was created in less than 10 minutes and has been sent to a friend overseas, who is celebrating a Birthday the end of this month.  The Birthday Essentials Die Set includes balloons, presents, a tiered birthday cake, candles, a party hat and more.

The Make a Wish Sentiment Die comes with a Shadow; I decided not to include the shadow on my card but I did cover the sentiment with Gold Stickles for that extra bit of sparkle.

I die cut the balloons and an angled panel from the DSP and backed the "highlight" area of the balloons with white glitter card.  I added a strip of red glitter card to give the DSP a "finished" edge.

Lastly, I've added Majestic Blue Pearls from Kat Scrappiness for additional interest and shine.

Thanks for visiting today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges - Varada Sharma

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the sponsor this week is the talented Varada Sharma.  For my design team project, I've created a card featuring the Flower Arrangement, Heartfelt Sentiments and Beautiful Butterflies digital stamps.

Varada Sharma was a new designer to me a few months ago, but seeing her lovely designs on Instagram had me falling in love with her floral drawings.  I've colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added a bit of ink blending and ink splattering to the background.

I fussy cut all the images, popping up the butterflies and sentiment strips on foam pads for the dimension I love on my cards.  Lastly, I've added irridescent enamel dots for exta interest and shine.

Please stop by the Pammie's Inky Pinkie's Challenge this week and enter your project for a chance to win a Varada Sharma prize!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Gold Band Lily

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today is a quick post sharing a card I've created using the "new to me"  Gold Band Lily Layering Die Set from Altenew. I love layering die sets because they make such a dimensional focal and design statement on any project.

My design is inspired by Jenny Colacicco of the Altenew Design Team.  She's used glitter card in some of her layering designs so I've die cut the floral pieces using colored card, white glitter card and gold glitter fun foam.  Everything was layered according to the guide on the back of the packaging and set aside so I could prepare the background panel.

To give an otherwise plain white panel some interest, I've embossed using the Mod Squares 3-D Embossing Folder by Altenew.  I have this washi tape that has a fabric feel to it and I like Polka-dots anytime so I've attached a strip of the washi to the panel.

The sentiment is from the new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Feathered Lilies and was heat embossed using fine detail white powder.

I've popped the floral and sentiment on craft foam and adhered to the panel using liquid adhesive.  Lastly, clear sequins were added for sparkle.  That completes my share for today.

Thanks for your visit and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Jan's Digi Stamps February 2022 Challenge - ATG

Hello and welcome back!  Today begins a new challenge month at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog and Jan has released 3 new stamps sets this month:  Traces of Spring, Spring Tiger Lilies and Shamrock Wishes.  These sets are ON SALE now through 28 February at 25% off the original price.

For my design team project, I've created a 5.5" square card using an image from the Spring Tiger Lilies digital stamp set.

I wanted to color this floral in a traditional tiger lily color. Using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, I've colored the flowers in a gorgeous orange; also adding the spots found on tiger lilies using a dark brown Spectrum Noir marker.

I've added a thin strip of gold mirror card and splattered the focal panel with gold watercolor paint and diluted black ink.  To finish the design, I popped the focal panel onto craft foam for dimension and added black twine with a bow.

Please stop by the challenge at Jan's and link up your project.  The challenges are Always Anything Goes and we would love to see your lovely projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Inspiration Station - Candy Hearts

Hello and Happy Monday!  I trust your weekend was lovely and the week has started on a good note for you.  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Inspiration Station and the inspiration photo is a "sweet" one!

Before I get to my design team project, I wanted to announce The Inspiration Station is collaborating with The Double Trouble Challenge #103 for the next 2 weeks!  Our challenge themes are similar so please visit and link up with them also.  A Huge "Thank You" to Double Trouble for teaming up with us!

Now, for my design team project, I've created a Valentine's Day card using images from the Sweetheart Candy digital set by Jan's Digi Stamps

The images have been colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the patterned paper is from the Kat Scrappiness Heartfelt Wishes Slimline Paper Pack and the banner flag is a dimensional sticker from my stash (The Dollar Tree I believe....which is now the Dollar and a Quarter Store)

I wanted a bit more interest in the background so I've added dots using a white Gelly Roll Pen.  Lastly, clear sequins were added for sparkle and shine.

We would be honored if you would share your inspired projects with us at The Inspiration Station and The Double Trouble Challenge.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello and Happy Fri-YAY!  Today begins a new challenge round at The Colour Crazy Craft Challenges.  The sponsor this fortnite is All Dressed Up and I've chosen to use the New Year, New Me Digital image for my DT project.

I've kept this card quite simple, allowing the sweet image to take center stage.  I've colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer paper is from American Crafts.

The panels have been adhered flat to the cardbase using liquid adhesive and I've added enamel candy dots for additional interest.

That's my card for today and i hope you'll join us the round at the Colour Crazy Blog.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Feathered Lily

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve (for those optimists out there).  I have a quick post today featuring a card created using a gorgeous Lily image from the latest Altenew Craft Your Life Kit: Feathered Lilies.

This is a larger than life stamped image and I've created a 5x7 card,  just look at the size of this stamped image.

Using my Misti stamp positioner, I stamped the floral on a 5x7" card panel and without removing the stamp from the Misti Lid, I stamped again on the largest die cut label from the Nesting Slim Labels Dies from Altenew

I heat embossed and colored the image on the label using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  As you can see, the largest label die cut is a hair taller than 7".

The die cut was popped on craft foam for dimension and lined up to match the stamped image underneath.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and a few crystal gems were added for additional interest.

This completes my post for today.  I hope you're staying healthy and warm; the news reported a blizzard in the midwestern states so I'm praying all is well and everyone is hunkered down, enjoying comfort foods and crafting time.

Until next time, Happy Carfting!

The Paper Funday Challenges February 2022

Hello and Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  The challenges are Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  The Twist this month is Hugs & Kisses.  This twist is an easy one as we have entered the month of Love!

Our sponsors this month are the generous All Dressed Up and Polkadoodles.  These 2 sponsors have the sweetest images and for my DT project, I've used the Happy Valentine's digital image from All Dressed Up.

My card measures 5.5" square and I've keep the design sweet and simple; no dimension or bells and whistles were added.  I plan on sending this card overseas to a Swap Buddy and I didn't want it to be too bulky.

I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and rounded the bottom corners of the focal, mat and cardbase for interest.  I did add some black dots here and there; I thought about splattering with black ink but decided not to...didn't want to risk messing up the colored image.

Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  We would love to see your designs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge Blog - Winter Theme

Hello All and Happy 1st Day of February.  Today begins a new challenge month at the Four Seasons Challenge Blog with our continued theme of Winter.

Based on the inspiration photo, I've created a Valentine's Day Card for my hubby using the "new to me" layering Heart Builder Stencil from Altenew.  He loves all the cards I create for him and he actually saves them.  He's a great guy and so supportive of my crafting.

My card measures 5.5" square and I've stenciled the background using Catherine Pooler inks.  The large heart was die cut from glitter card using one of the newest heart die sets from Kat Scrappiness and the sentiment is also from Kat Scrappiness.

The Gingham ribbon is from Gina K. Designs and is lovely against the red and pink heart background.

We would love to have you share your winter themed projects with us this month at The Four Seasons Challenge.  Hope to see you there!  Until next time, Happy Crafting.
