Happy Birthday Tulips

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Thursday!  I have a quick share today featuring layering dies, a cover die and a pre-foiled sentiment.

I've received this layering floral die set from a friend recently for my birthday.  I believe it's the Into the Blooms: Tulips from PaperTrey Ink.  I've die cut the pieces using white card and ink blended with Catherine Pooler Inks.  The cover die is the Peek-a-Boo Polka Dot from My Favorite Things

Everything was assembled and arranged on the card front.  I've popped the flower heads up using craft foam and added Gold Coast Glitter Drops from Nuvo.  The sentiment is from a pre-foiled sentiment pack by Pink Fresh Studio.

That's all I have for you today, thanks for stopping by to visit me.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Critter Clan by MFT

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you had an opportunity to what you love.  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a theme of Anything Goes.  There is a Gift Voucher from My Favorite Things up for grabs so you'll want to join in the fun!

For my team project, I've created a card featuring the horse and cactus from the Critter Clan Stamp Set.  The background has been stenciled using a Mountain Scene stencil from Erin Lee Creative.

To create the background, I've stenciled using distress oxide inks in shades of blue for the mountain range and browns for the ground.  The images have been colored using alcohol markers.

The images have been fussy cut and the I've cut the focal panel using a stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness.  The paper are stash snippets from Color Bok and the faux gems are from Kat Scrappiness.  The sentiment is included in the stamp set and the strip has been popped on craft foam for dimension.

Please join us at Pammie's this week, we love seeing all the entries.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge #2

Hello Friends and Happy October!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Four Seasons Challenge and we're continuing with the Autumn/Fall theme.  My card features some not so spooky Halloween images from a Recollections Cling Stamp Set.

The inspiration prompt for the month of October is:

When tidying up my craft room recently, I came across these cling stamps from Recollections that I've had for a few years.  I'd forgotten just how cute they are.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, created a tag and mats using papers from the Echo Park Trick or Treat 6x6 paper pad and Recollections Seasonal Solids 12x12 paper pack.

I've used stitched dies from Kat Scrappiness and My Favorite Things for the tag, banner sentiment and small mats.  The only bells and whistles added was Wink of Stella on the Pumpkins; which is always hard to capture in photos.

Please join us at The Four Seasons Challenge this month.  We hope to inspire you with our designs and always love to see what you create.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Lil Punkin' - Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start. Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the prize this week is a $5 Gift Voucher to Mo's Digital Pencil.

For my design team project, I colored up this adorable little Punkin' from Mo's Digital Pencil using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I adore the art by Mo Manning and there are so many wonderful images in the shop.  I couldn't resist using this image for an Autumn themed card.  The designer papers are from the Carta Bella "Hello Fall" and Bo Bunny "Very Vintage Double Dot Designs" 6x6 paper pads.

I die cut the focal panel with a scalloped oval die from Dies R Us and mounted on craft foam before adhering to the card base.  The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs "Haunts and Harvest" Stamp Set, the flag banner is a die from My Favorite Things.  For the finishing touches, I've added a strip of ribbon and sequins for additional interest.

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies for the Anything Goes Challenge.  We would love to see your designs and hope to inspire you with ours.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Sunflower Smiles

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  Before I continue with sharing my Card of the Day, I wanted to remind everyone of the Blog Hop that is active until Midnight EST on 14 July so hop along for your chance to win some holiday themed prizes.  To find the hop, click HERE and you can also find the post in the sidebar to the right.  Hope to see you there!

My card today features the Sunflower Smiles digital image by Star Stampz.  I adore Sunflowers in the Summer and Fall.  I used to grow mini sunflowers in whiskey barrell pots, placing them on my front porch.  The minis are adorable, I need to grow some this Fall.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers then trimmed the side with a My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edge Die. I created a side panel by inking up a strip of card using Catherine Pooler ink as I didn't have colored card that shade of blue.

I cut a piece of craft foam slightly smaller that the focal panel and mounted all on a Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb. card base.  I find myself using craft foam instead of foam tape of foam pads for dimension.  I find it more economical and I can die cut it to match the shape of more intricate die cuts.

The sentiment was sent to me in a card swap and lastly, I added Wink of Stella Clear Sparkle on the Sunflowers and enamel dots for additional interest.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

You Are Lovely

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  Today's card features stenciling and stamping; 2 simpe technqiues that create a pretty card.

I started the card with a 5" square panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80 lb. card and a new stencil I recently received; the Sweet Spring Stencil from Altenew.  Using Mint to Be and Aquatini Dye Inks from Catherine Pooler, I stenciled the rose bouquet.  This is a 2 layer stencil and very easy to line up and blend through.

I stamped the sentiment from the Maymay Made It All About You stamp set onto the card base but wasn't happy with the "are lovely"..it wasn't straight but an easy fix, I stamped again on a banner cut with a MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips die.  It's still not as straight as I prefer but the card is Handcafted, not Hallmark..right?  Lastly, enamel sparkle dots added for additional interest.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Lily Love Bug Sending Love

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was grand and you found some time for yourself.

Today beings a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with an Anything Goes Theme and sponsor Polkadoodles.  For my design team project, I created a Mini Slimline Card using the Lily Love Bug Sending Love image.  I own the entire digital bundle of this Cutie and there are over 200 images in this kit.  It's an amazing value if you like this adorable Lily.

My card measures 6"x3" and the image was colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The designer papers are from the kit so it made coordinating a breeze.  The sentiment is from the Maymay Made It "Buggy Love" Stamp Set and the sentiment banner was cut using the MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips set.

Please join us this week at Pammie's for some inspiration, we hope to see you there!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Kind Thanks

Good Sunday to you!  It's a glorious, sunny day here in Central Florida and I hope it's the same where you are.  Today's make and share features a gorgeous bloom, ink layering, die cutting, embossing and a nice discovery.

I started the card with stamping a blossom from the new 8x11 Altenew Majestic Bouquet Stamp and Coordinating Die Set.   This is a beautiful set containing 41 images and 8 coordinating dies.  I stamp layered the flower using Gina K. Designs and Fun Stampers Journey Inks.  I embossed a white snippet of card with a basketweave embossing folder and die cut the bottom with a stitched, scalloped edge die from MFT.  I layered everything on a piece of patterned paper also from MFT and added sequins for shine.

Now here's the discovery:  When looking for a snippet of card to stamp the blossom and leaves on, I grabbed a scrap piece of matte photo paper, not realizing it wasn't 80 lb. Neenah Solar White.  After stamping, I layed the blossom and leaves aside to dry while preparing the remaining card elements.  As the flower and leaves dried, they took on a Velvet-like appearance and feel.  It is quite a wonderous discovery and I am so pleased with how they look in person....it's incredible.  This is a "mistake" that I will definitely use again.

P.S.  I would like to mention the Inspiration Station Challenge and invite you to hop over and enter your projects.  The challenge is based on your intrepretaion of the photo.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
