October 2023 Instagram Re-Discovery Hop - Fall/Autumn

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday!  Today is the Instagram Just for Fun Re-Discovery Hop!  The idea behind this fun hop is to "Shop Your Stash" and created a project based on the monthly theme.  This month, there are a whopping 40 creators participating, so there is tons of inspiration for using your hidden treasures!  The Hop starts at 11 am EST and you can start hopping HERE.

The theme this month is Fall/Harvest.  When I think of Autumn, rich colors and Gratitude instantly come to mind.  Using an image and sentiment from the "With Love and Gratitude" digital set from Graciellie Designs, I've created an Autumn Card of Gratitude.

I've had this image in my stash for a year or more and always forget to color it for Autumn. so this Hop was a perfect time to use it.  I've colored using Prismacolor Pencils.

The patterned papers are snippets from various 6x6 paper pads and I've die cut the focal image and sentiment using dies from the stash.  I've added Wink of Stella, gold Posca Paint Pen splatters and golden thread for accents.

We hop you'll visit and hop along all the stops.  You can start the hop HERE. and if you would like to join us next month, please reach out to our Leader and brains behind the Hop,  Tracy @craftwithme101 on Instagram!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Grateful Autumn

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  The month of October is zooming by and I'm trying to get my Thanksgiving and Gratitude Cards completed in time for posting November 1st.  My share today features Leaves from the Grateful Autumn Stamp Set by Memory Box.

I've colored the leaves using my Prismacolor Pencils.  The patterned papers are snippets from Echo Park and Carta Bella paper pads, the sentiment is from the same Memory Box Stamp Set and it has been heat embossed using fine detail gold power.

I've highlighted the focal images by die cutting them with circle dies from My Favorite Things.  This was a quick and easy card, even the coloring was quick and easy.  I'll be in full blown Christmas Card creating soon, but for now, I still have a few more Autumn cards to finish up.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #10

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  The theme of our challenges is Always Anything Floral Goes with an Optional Mood Board.  The mood board this month is for Color Inspiration.

I love Autumn colors and I've used a few of the colors from this mood board in my card design.  I've used the Botanical Journal 1 stamp set from Bo Bunny and snippets of patterned paper from various 6x6 paper pads.

I love this Rose image, especially the Vintage look of the drawing.  I've added some color using my Prismacolor Pencils.  I've used a fancy corner punch for the detailing of the focal panel and mat.

I've used a cut-apart from one of the paper pads as my sentiment and added golden gems for a touch of sparkle.  Please visit us at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge, we hope to inspire you with our designs and love seeing everyone's creativity.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Autumn Leaf Prints

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  I'm in full blown Autumn card creating mode, this is my favorite time of year, even if we don't have "Autumn" in Florida.  My card today features skeleton leaf prints from the Gina K. Designs Layered Leaf Prints stamp set.

This is a layering stamp set but I've only stamped one layer of the leaves, using distress inks in Autumn colors.  I've stamped lightly in the beginning; sort of a ghost print, then stamped over top in increasingly bolder colors, creating a border of falling leaves.

I've splattered the card with brown and gold inks, stamped the sentiment in a dark brown ink and added golden sequins for effect.  This card was a quick and easy make and I'm pleased with the outcome.

That's all for today.  I hope you have a splendid weekend and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Autumn Cascade

Hi Crafty Friends, Happy Monday!  I have a quick share today featuring the Autumn Cascade Layering Stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I had forgotten I purchased this stencil during Stamptember 2023 and while I was looking out my craft room window, I had an idea....

I have wide slated, wooden blinds on my craft room windows, and outside my window is a gorgeous hibiscus bush.  This scene gave me an idea to create a "window" with a blind, looking outside onto Autumn leaves.

I stenciled the leaves with Distress Oxide Inks and Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Paste.  Once dry, I've outlined the images with a fine tipped permanent marker and splattered with Gold Posca Paint Pen.

The panel was cut into 1" strips, then arranged on black card. The sentiment is from a ready to use package of Thanksgiving Sentiments, and has been popped on craft foam.  Lastly,  I've added a cluster of gold thread behind the sentiment strip for additional interest.

That's all I have for today.  I hope you have a fantastic week ahead, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challenge #58 - Rory's Autumn Parcels

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  The theme is Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  The Twist this month is to use the colors Yellow, Orange and Green.

Our generous sponsors this month are All Dressed Up and The Colour of Love.  For my team project, I've colored up the sweet Rory's Autumn Pretty Parcels image from The Colour of Love, using my Prismacolor Pencils.

The image looked intimidating at first, but once I sat down with my hot bevvie and pencils, I thoroughly enjoyed the process and the image wasn't as difficult to color as I had imagined.

The patterned papers are snippets from various Autumn themed 6x6 paper pads, the sentiment is a ore-made strip from Simon Says Stamp.

I've decorated the corners of the focal panel with a punch and added amber colored gems for a finishing touch.  Please visit us at the challenge and enter your projects, you may be a winner!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge - Harvest Blessings

Hi Friends and Happy 1st Monday of October!  It's time for a new challenge month at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog.  Jan has released 3 new sets this month:  Candy Cane, Santa's Coming and Harvest Blessings.  For my card today, I'm featuring the Harvest Blessings image and a sentiment from the set.

Autumn has always been my favorite time of year and when we lived in areas that have Autumn (not like now in Florida), I looked forward to taking a trip to the Apple Orchard for a hayride, pumpkins, Fresh Apple Cider and Donuts.  This image brings back those great memories with the family.

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and added splatters of white acrylic paint from a Posca Pen.  I've trimmed the corners of the focal panel to give it the look of a photo in an album using those paper corners (remember those?).  Lastly, I've added golden gems to complete the design.

Please join us this month at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge, we love seeing everyone's creativity.  Also, don't forget to visit the Hocus Pocus Sale, there are 9 Halloween themed sets on Sale for the month of October.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge Prompt #54

Hello and Happy Monday!  Welcome to October and a new monthly challenge at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  We're on inspiration prompt #54 which is here:

When I look at this picture, I'm inspired by Halloween, Costume Parties and Trick-or-Treating.  I've used the Boo Mummy digital image from Polkadoodles for my project this month.  This adorable fella is part of the Boo Halloween Series.

I've colored him using Prismacolor Pencils and die cut the image using a spiral stitched nesting oval die from My Favorite Things.  The patterned papers are from Kat Scrappiness.

The sentiment strip is from Simon Says Stamp and has been popped on craft foam along with the focal image.  I've not added any bells or whistles to this card as he is on his way overseas and I didn't want him to get damaged in the post.

Please join us at The Inspiration Station Challenge this month.  We have a great prize on offer and we are always delighted to see how the inspiration prompts inspire your designs.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
