Spring Daffodils in Pitcher

Hello Friends and Happy Crafty Saturday!  I hope the week was kind to you and today you've found some time to create.  I am featuring a standard slimline card using everything from my stash.

I had a bit of time last night, while hubby was watching Wrestling (yes, we watch grown men wrestle around like toddlers), to create something quick and easy.  I didn't want to stamp or color or think too hard about a design.  I found dimensional stickers in my stash and thought they would be perfect for a quick and easy card.

The sticker is quite large, the card base measures 8.5"x3.5".  I found the perfect sized patterned paper for the background so win #2.  The sentiment strip is from a pack by Tim Holtz.

That's all there is to this card, I hope you like my quick and easy project using everything from the stash.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Take Life One Sip at a Time

Hello Friends!  Wow, it's Wednesday evening and this week is getting away from me.  I have a quick share for you today featuring a digi image and matching sentiment from Time 4 Tea.

I've had this image and sentiment in my stash for a couple of years, it was a Freebie from Time 4 Tea and I cannot remember if it was offered through the website, the Facebook Group or the newsletter.  I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and chose to make her drink of choice a Lemonade Shakeup (which is something I must have every time we visit the County Fair; I love the Orange Shakeups too).

The patterned papers are from a Summer paper pack by Kat Scrappiness, the sentiment and focal panel have been popped on foam pads for dimension and hot pink gems added for additional interest.

She's ready for a fun day at the Spring Fair - her hair is up in a pony, she has her sundress on and comfortable shoes for walking about.  That's all for today friends, so until next time, Happy Crafting!

Have a Blessed Easter

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!  I hope your weekend was lovely and you found some crafty time.  Today is a quick share featuring a bouquet of Easter Lilies.

The image is from the Easter Lilies Stamp Set by Scappy Tails and has been colored using Prismacolor Pencils.  I've kept the design clean and simple as the image is large and I wanted it to take center stage.

I've matted the focal panel with light pink and black card, stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) and added pink sequins for shine.  This card was posted to the recipient last week, I do hope it arrives in time for Easter.

That's all I have for today, have a glorious day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Little Bees

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Saturday!  I hope your weekend is off to a great start and you're finding some crafting time today.  I have a quick share for you featuring a vintage stamp.

The little bees woodblock stamp is a Rubber Stampede Company image from 1999.  Last weekend I was going through some of my woodblock stamps and came across this one and a gardening bear that I featured earlier in the week.  I'm so amazed that 25 year old stamps still produce such crisp images.

The patterned papers are from a 6x8 paper pad by Scrapbook.com, the sentiment is from Cardz TV and the twine is from Spellbinders.

All the circles have been die cut using the nesting circle dies from Kat Scrappiness.  I've popped the focal and the sentiment on foam pads.  Lastly, I've added Golden Honey gems for additional interest.

That's all for today, so until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hippity Hop into Easter

Hello Friends and Happy Thursday!  I hope your day is going great, wherever you are in the world.  Easter is coming up soon and I still have a few Easter cards to share.  Today's card features some die cut bunnies and colorful Easter papers.

This card was quick and easy to create.  From Kat Scrappiness, using the Build-A-Bunny die set, I've cute a large and small bunny from 110 lb cardstock.  I've stamped details from the Build-A-Bunny stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Hippity Hoppity Stamp Set.  The patterned papers are from the Easter pack.

The small bunny has been popped on foam pads as well as the sentiment banner.  Lastly, I've added a few purple gems for added interest and viola, called this card complete.  It has been posted to a card swap friend and I hope the bunnies arrive in time for Easter.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Life Happens - Coffee Helps

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  I trust your weekend was great and you enjoyed some Spring-like weather.  It's a dreary, stormy day here so what better way to spend the day than to craft and listen to a podcast.  Then later this afternoon, watch a movie.  Have you seen Killers of the Flower Moon yet?

My card today features a coffee drinking Gnome from Not 2 Shabby.  I've colored him using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers.  Sadly, my markers have all but dried up since I've been coloring with pencils more,

I've fussy cut him and popped him on foam pads, I've kept the pattern papers minimal and added a glitter strip as an accent.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and has been popped on foam pads also.

I've used a corner chomper to round some edges and added gold gems for additional interest.  That's all I have for you today.  Enjoy your Monday and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Gardening Teddy

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  I hope you're weekend has been enjoyable and your weather sunny.  I have a quick share for you today featuring a sweet Teddy Bear working in his garden.

The upcoming Spring Season has my Mojo working overtime.  While looking through my stash, I came across some vintage woodblock stamps, and this Gardening Teddy Bear was one I was delighted to find.  Can you believe this stamp is from 1999?  That's 25 years old!

It's from the Rubber Stampede Company, and I'm not certain if they are still in business.  I can't believe I still have this sweet stamp and it still stamps like a champ!

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils.  The focal image has been cut with a fancy edged oval die from Kat Scrappiness, and adhered flat to the card panel.  The patterned papers are from the "Summer Splash" 6x6 paper pad by Pink & Main, the sentiment is from Cardz TV.

For additional interest, a small banner was hand cut, popped on craft foam, the sentiment was also popped on foam.  Finally, a few blue faux gems added for sparkle.

That's all for today.  Have a fabulous day and week ahead.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Classic Design Challenge #03-2024

Hi Friends, I'm back with my second post for today.  It's a new challenge month at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  We have 2 generous sponsors this month:  Beccy's Place and The Paper Shelter.  The challenge also has an optional Twist each month.  The Twist for this month is:  4-Legged Friends.

For my design team project, I've colored up the "My Cute Rottweiler" image from The Paper Shelter using Prismacolor Pencils.

I've created a 5.5" square card, the patterned papers are from the "Playful Pets" 6x6 mat stack by DCWV (Die Cuts with a View).  I find it hard to create masculine cards, and this image made creating one very easy.  This young man has his hands full, but looks like both of them are having fun!

The sentiment is from the Everyday Sentiment Stamp Set by Hero Arts.  This stamp set is an oldie, but contains lots of good sentiments for everyday occasions.  The sentiment strip has been popped on foam pads for dimension.  Since I intend to use this as a masculine card, no extra bells and whistles have been added.

Please join us this month at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  Even though the team does not leave comments on your entries, rest assured we visit and see all your lovely designs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #15 - Mar/Apr 2024

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Friday!  We made it through another week, wow this month is flying by.  It's time for a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  This month, the challenge team is collaborating with The Double Trouble Challenge from today through the 31st of March, so you'll want to pop over and play along in their Spring Florals Challenge as well.

Now, on to the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge for this month.  Our Optional Mood Board contains my favorite color, along with some gorgeous florals.  This mood board is optional, provided for inspiration.

For my team project, I've used the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Daffodil Layering Die Set.  I love layering die sets, they are usually fairly simple to put together and they provide so much dimension to your project.

For my card, I've embossed the background with a Basket Weave pattern, using a folder from Darice,  I've ink blended a light shade of Catherine Pooler lilac ink in the bottom corner, getting lighter as I went up the side and into the middle.

For the die cut daffodils, I've used colored card stock along with glitter card for the tips of the flowers.  The taller flower head has been popped on foam pads, and the pre-foiled sentiment is from a pack by Pink Fresh Studio.  I've not added my usual bells and whistles, I thought the card was good without anything extra.

Please join us at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge.  We would love to see your Floral Focused projects, and also check out The Double Trouble Challenge this month also.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

You're EARResistible

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was lovely and your day wasn't too busy.  I have a quick share for you featuring the Bunny Line digital image from Bugaboo Stamps and a sentiment from the Hippity Hoppity Stamp Set by Kat Scrappiness.

I've created a card slightly larger than a standard mini slimline and colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils.  I printed the image a bit larger than I normally would as I wanted the scene panel to make up the majority of the card front.

The patterned paper is from an Easter pack by Kat Scrappiness.  The papers are adorable but I'm not fond of the finish, it's rather glossy and slick, so I'm trying to use it up this Spring and Easter season.

This is such a sweet scene, the bunnies are adorable and no one drew cute like Jodi Mackrel from Bugaboo.  I've posted all Easter cards today in hopes they land before Easter, I just have to complete ones that will be hand delivered.  Are you finished creating Easter cards?

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Easter Joy

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope your week went smoothly and you find some time for crafting this weekend.  I plan on crafting all day long..the temperature is expected to reach near 90 degrees today, so it's crafting under the air conditioning for me!

I have a quick share today featuring an Easter card created using the Bugaboo Stamps "Bunny Chick Topper" image.  I know I say this every time I use a Bugaboo image - I miss Bugaboo Stamps!

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils, the patterned papers are from the Craft Consortium "Bloom & Wild" 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is from the "Easter Lilies" Stamp Set by Scrappy Tails.

I've die cut the focal image using a fancy stitched square nesting die from My Favorite Things, sentiment cut with a nesting circle die, the yellow strip has been punched for a fancy edge.  The focal and sentiment have been lifted with foam pads.

Lastly, pink sequins from my stash were added for some shine and interest.  That's all I have for today.  Have a fabulous Saturday and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenge #63 - Bunny Macaron

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome to Wednesday!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog, where it's Always Anything Goes with an Optional Twist.  The Twist this month is:  The Dies Have It (use cutting dies in your design).

Our sponsors this month are the fabulous Not 2 Shabby and Altenew.  For my team project, I've used the Macaron Pets stamp set from Not 2 Shabby to create a cute Spring/Easter Card.  This set was the January 2022 Stamp and Die Set of the Month, so sadly not available for purchase, but N2S has many more adorable sets that are!

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils, the patterned papers are from the "Spring is Calling" 6x6 paper pad by P13.  The image was die cut using the coordinating die, and mounted using foam pads on a stitched die cut banner.  The sentiment is from the stamp set.

To finish the design, I've added iridescent pink sequins from my stash for that extra bling a Bunny Macaron needs,

We hope you'll pop in and join us this month.  You may just be 1 of 2 winners!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Springtime Baby Piggy

Hi Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  I hope your day has been great.  I have a quick share for you today featuring the most adorable spring baby piggy.

In rummaging through my stash last weekend, I came across stickers I purchased some time ago from Amazon.  I put them away with the purpose of adding them to my card swap envelopes, and decided I should use some of them for my own Spring cards.

For this card design, I've used a free sketch from Operation Write Home, the patterned papers are from Prima Marketing Co. and the sentiment is from Stampendous.

I've adhered the piggy sticker on a fancy edged circle die and popped on foam pads, as well as the sentiment circle.  Lastly, I've added a Baker's Twine Bow to the banner for more of that Farm/Country feel.

That's all I have for today. I'll be back tomorrow with another project so until then, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge March 2024

Hello and Happy 1st Monday of March!  I hope you are starting to see signs of Spring where you are.  If you're in the Southern Hemisphere, I hope you're winter weather hasn't arrived yet.

Today begins a new challenge month at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  The challenges always have an inspirational prompt for you to interpret into your design.  The inspiration photo this month is:

There are so many ways to interpret this photo, I went with a St. Patrick's Day theme as I get the vibe of a Parade with lots of fun visuals and sounds.  I've used the now defunct Bugaboo Stamps St. Patrick's Day Frog for my card.

I've colored this Cheeky Frog using Prismacolor Pencils.  The patterned papers are from a St. Patrick's Day digital paper pack that I purchased on Etsy approximately 5 years ago, and I've used only scrap on this card.  Because it's a digital paper pack, I'll always have these "papers" to use.

I've die cut the focal image using a nested stitched circle die from Cheery Lynn (purchased from Amazon).  I've popped the circle focal on foam pads, as well as the banner.  Lastly, I've added green faux gems for added interest.

The team and I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and play along this month.  There is a lovely prize from Pretty Pink Posh (not a sponsored prize) and everyone is eligible for the prize, no matter of your location, as long as rules for the challenge are followed.
