Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Snowball Scott

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another fun challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and the sponsors this week are Di's Digi Stamps and A Day for Daisies - 2 wonderful and generous sponsors that have the cutest images.

My design team project this week features the Snowball Scott image from A Day for Daisies.
He is so cute and totally chubby - just like a snowman should be in my opinion!

I decided to go with a round shaped card to mimic the round, chubbiness of Scott.  The circle base measures 5.5" round with the mat measuring 5.25" round; the image circle measures just a tad over 4.75".

For embellies, I added snowflakes die cut out of gold mirror card, cut the base and the mat with a scalloped edge using Cricut Design Space and added some Rock Candy Distress Glitter to the hill Scott is standing on - do Snowmen stand?  Finally, I stamped the sentiment on his belly and called it finished.

This is a tent folding card with the inside finished including a stamped sentiment.  I had great fun creating this project and appreciate A Day for Daisies proving this adorable image to color up; which I did with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

I hope you'll pop over to Penny's Challenges and join in the fun this week and try your hand at winning some images from our wonderful sponsors.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I have one more festive Halloween card to share before the 31st of October so stay tuned.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Happy Days

Hello...for my second post of the day I would like to tell you about the challenge that started yesterday (17 Oct) at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  Our sponsors for this weeks' challenge are SheepSki Designs and Hetty Clare.

I had the pleasure of using the Happy Days digital image from Hetty Clare for my design team project this week.  I always enjoy coloring up Hetty Clare's images and this one was fun!

I've created another standard A2 sized card (4.25" x 5.5") in a landscape format and added some glitter tape from Cricut that I had in my stash.  I didn't add any other embellishments to this card, I just wanted to keep it simple this time.

I hope you will stop by the challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week and join in the fun for your chance to win some awesome images from our 2 sponsors.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Boo..I Can See You

Good Morning and thanks for stopping by.  Today begins another challenge at Creative Knockouts and the sponsor for our challenge this round is All Dressed Up Stamps.  I had the pleasure of using the Boo..I See You digi stamp for my design team project this challenge and it's an adorable image!

The theme for this challenge is Halloween, using the colors Purple, Black, Orange and Green.  I incorporated all those colors in this project and I'm thoroughly pleased with how the card turned out.

This card measures the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and is black card matted with a digital paper print I had in my stash along with a green mat for the focal image.  I inked around the image with Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink and added some sequins in the colors of purple, green and orange to finish it off.

I hope you'll join us in the challenge at Creative Knockouts for your chance to win some cute images from All Dressed Up.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

There's a bunch of Hocus Pocus Going On!

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  Today I'm sharing another Halloween card that has been paper pieced.  The three dancing witches remind me of the witches from Hocus Pocus; the images are from the Cricut Cartridge Potions and Spells.

The images are 3-layered:  purple, orange and black.  I embossed a mat of gray card with a Halloween embossing folder and added a strip of patterned paper to give these witches a dance floor.  This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5") and was a simple one to create, no extra embellishments added as I thought the image was enough.

I hope you were inspired and will try your hand at paper piecing.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges - Shaped Card

Hello!  Today it's time for challenge #149 at Creatalicious Challenges.  The theme is Anything Goes with an option of using the color purple.  The sponsor this challenges is the incredible Simon Says Stamp!

It's getting close to All Hallows Eve so I created this shaped card using the Cricut cut image Spooky from the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.  I did use the color purple in my design team project and added the die cut Witch as an extra embellishment.  I also added Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle and Ranger Glossy Accents to the middle of the eyes.

This shaped card measures 4.5" x 7" and I made an envelope from black card.  When I mail, I will address the envelope with a gold marker.

I hope you will join us for the challenge at Creatalicious; a huge thank you to Simon Says Stamp for sponsoring this challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz Challenge - Fancy Folds

It's time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz and the theme this round is Fancy Folds.   I tried my hand at something totally out of my comfort zone and to be perfectly honest - the inside gave me a little trouble.

I'm not certain what this type of fold is named.  I wanted to be completely different with my Design Team project as well as being as simple as I could be with the front as the inside caused some bulk.

I used only 1 patterned paper, the owl was a print and cut file from the Cricut Design Space and the sentiment inside is cut vinyl.

I added a blank piece of card to the back, for a space to write a personal message.  The finished card measures 6" x 6".  The inside folds do not lay as I would like but all in all, it turned out ok for winging it!

We hope you will join us for the Cardz 4 Galz Challenge and try a Fancy Fold.  Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - A Puppy's Halloween

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another fun challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and the sponsors this week are the fabulous Sparkle N Sprinkle and Imagine That Digi Stamps.

This week I had the pleasure of creating my Design Team project with this adorable image from Sparkle and Sprinkle named A Puppy's Halloween.

Sparkle N Sprinkle offers both pre-colored and black/white images so you can choose to color your own or use the pre-colored image for a quick card; which is what I've done here.  This card is an A6 size (4.5" x 6.5") top folding (tent fold) design.  I've added some hand stitching and matted using just 1 piece of orange card.  I added purple sequins as well as the using the sentiment provided with this image package.  So quick, easy and super cute for Halloween!

We hope you'll join in the fun this week at Penny's Challenges and create something awesome for your chance to win from one of our amazing sponsors this week.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge - Emma in the Leaves

Hello and thanks for visiting me!  It's time for another challenge at Crafty Creations and this week the sponsor is Fred She Said Designs.

I had the pleasure of using the image Emma in the Leaves for my design team project and she was a delight to color up.

I used a Autumn digital paper for the mat and used a digital sentiment from another digital package.  I inked the edges of everything in Vintage Photo Distress Ink, added a ribbon and bow.  To finish this 5.5" x 5.5" tent fold card, I placed some card bling in opposite corners.

The cute image was a wonderful focal point and along with the Autumn themed paper, I can feel the crisp Fall air.  I really like how this project turned out.  We hope you will join us at Crafty Creations and share one of your Autumn creations.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Winter Cardigan

Hello!  It's time for another fun challenge at Crafty Calendar.  Our sponsor this challenge is the incredible Lemon Shortbread.

The challenge theme this round is Autumn/Fall and I had the pleasure of creating my project with the digi stamp named Winter Cardigan from Lemon Shortbread.

Autumn is my favorite time of year and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this Autumn themed card which measures 5" x 5".  It's a tent fold (top folding) card that I layered with some awesome digital paper from another wonderful Etsy Seller, Dan Morris Digital.

For my embellishments,  I added some raffia to mimic straw, a clock button, some ribbon and a quote from Oscar Wilde.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Makers and inked the edges with Tea Dye Distress Oxide Ink.

I hope you'll visit and join the fun at the Crafty Calendar Challenge for you chance to win some great digital images.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Tulips in Vase

Good Day Everyone!  It's time for more fun at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and this week the sponsors are the wonderful Pattie's Creations and Polkadoodles.

I've had the pleasure of creating my design team project with the Tulips in Vase digital image from Pattie's Creations.

I kept this A2 sized card (4.25" x 5.5") fairly simple, using only one mat of designer paper, inking around the edges of the focal image with Distress Ink in the color Pumice Stone, rounding some corners with my corner chomper and adding some card candy.  The digital image was colored up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  This project turned out pretty and perfect for a simple friendship card.

We hope you will join us this week over at Penny's Challenges for your chance to win some awesome prizes from our sponsors.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge - Stevie Book Lover

Hello and thanks for visiting me today.  It's time for another challenge at Creative Knockouts and this week we have the awesome Scrap-N-Dipity as challenge sponsor.  I had the pleasure of using the sweet Stevie Book Lover image to create my card.

The challenge theme this week is Lots of Layers.  I used 3 different layers, so not a whole lot but I didn't want to cover up the script paper; which I thought matched the image perfectly - book lover and script paper...get it?

I colored Stevie up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Makers and added a couple pieces of card candy to finish up my card.  This card is the standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").  I am pleased with how the project turned out in the end.

I hope you will stop by the Creative Knockouts challenge blog and join the fun this week.  Our sponsor Scrap-N-Dipity has a lot of adorable images to choose from.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
