Luscious Flora

Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!  The weekend has arrived and I hope you have something wonderful planned.  Me?  Maybe some swimming but definitely some rest, relaxation, good food and crafting.

Today I have a quick share featuring the Altenew Dynamic Duos Luscious Flora Stamp and Layering Stencil combo.

This set is lovely as a background or on it's own, I chose to create a background with distress ink colors that have an Autumn feel.  I stamped the background, layered the stencils and inked through.

I've heat embossed the sentiment, from the stamp set, with fine detail white embossing powder and popped on craft foam for dimension.  Lastly, I've added clear gems for a bit of POP and bling.

That's all for today.  I wish you a fabulous weekend and I shall be back soon.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Birthday Tulips

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Thursday!  I have a quick share today featuring layering dies, a cover die and a pre-foiled sentiment.

I've received this layering floral die set from a friend recently for my birthday.  I believe it's the Into the Blooms: Tulips from PaperTrey Ink.  I've die cut the pieces using white card and ink blended with Catherine Pooler Inks.  The cover die is the Peek-a-Boo Polka Dot from My Favorite Things

Everything was assembled and arranged on the card front.  I've popped the flower heads up using craft foam and added Gold Coast Glitter Drops from Nuvo.  The sentiment is from a pre-foiled sentiment pack by Pink Fresh Studio.

That's all I have for you today, thanks for stopping by to visit me.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #7 - July/August 2023

Hello and Happy Saturday!  It's the 15th of the month and that signals a new challenge at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  The challenges are Always Anything Flowers Goes with an optional Mood Board.  The mood board this month is:

I did take cues and colors from the mood board to create my project this month. The fresh, tropical colors inspired me.  I've also used some Never Before Used Items, that were living in my stash.  That's always the best part!

For this card, I've used the following products:
  • Spellbinders Layered Daisies Floral Dies
  • Spellbinders August 2022 Small Die of the Month "Outline Sentiments"
  • Simon Says Stamp Old Letter 6x6 Cling Stamp

Using the Old Letter Stamp, I've stamped a background with Versafine Black Ink and softened it with a panel of Vellum.  I've used Distress Oxide inks to color the florals and cardstock for the sentiment and shadow.  Lastly, clear crystal gems have been added for shine (and to strategically hide the adhesive in various places).  The panels have been matted with black card.

I encourage you to visit the challenge blog and check out the inspirational projects my teamies have created and please share with us your floral projects.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Stitched Foliage with Vintage Screen Stenciling

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Thursday!  I have a quick share today that features stenciling and die cutting.  It was an easy card to create and turned out soft and sweet.

Using a stencil from A Fun Stampers Journey, stitched foliage dies from Kat Scrappiness, a sentiment from Stampendous and Distress Oxide Inks, I've created a Sweet and Simple card design.

I had a short amount of crafting time this past weekend and wanted to create something easy and fast.  This card was the result of a 30 minute block of time.  I've stenciled 2 shades of purple distress oxide inks through a Vintage Screen stencil from A Fun Stampers Journey by Spellbinders.

I've die cut the foliage from gold mirror card and adhered flat to the stenciled panel.  The sentiment has been stamped directly to the panel and iridescent, clear sequins added for additional interest.  This is a one layer card; there is no actual mat behind the focal panel.  I've masked off the edges of the panel and blended ink along the sides to create an illusion of layering.

That's all for today.  Thanks for stopping in and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Big Polkadot Birthday

Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends,  hope your week is off to a good start.  Today I have a quick share for you featuring stenciling and die cutting.

Over the weekend, I had a small block of time to do something creative and I thought some stenciling would be perfect for creating a quick and easy card.  Using a large dot stencil and coordinating colors of Distress Oxide inks, I've created a fun background panel.

The die cut word and stamped image are from a set by Crafter's Companion.  I've adhered the scripty die cut directly to the panel and stamped underneath.  Lastly, I've added clear iridescent sequins for added sparkle.  This would make a nice masculine card as it's not too blingy.  I love the fresh color combo too.

That's all for today, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Mid Century Modern Shapes

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was great and you found time for yourself.  I did find some time in my crafty space and have a quick share for you today.  I've used a stencil from Uniko and a stamp set from Woodware to create a colorful, fast and easy card.

To start, I've stenciled Distress Oxide Inks through the Mid Century Modern Stencil from Uniko onto a card panel.  Once dry, I stamped the silhouette images and sentiment from the Woodware Autumn Flowers Stamp Set.

To finish off, I've added white sequins for a bit of sparkle and called this card complete.  Quick and easy, especially when you need a card in a hurry and want something fun and cheerful.

That's all for today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challlenge July 2023

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  Wow, it was a Boom-fest 'round here last night with Firecrackers going off until late night.  Did you enjoy your 4th of July holiday?

Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  Our themes are Always Anything Goes with a Twist.  This months' Twist is to use colors Red, White, Blue.  For my project, I've went with the Twist and created a festive card for the Independence Day holiday.

I'm trying to "shop my stash" and use items I have on hand.  I've done quite well with my No Buy policy thus far.  My birthday is coming up and I feel a shopping spree coming on....but I digress.  I have some pretty paper napkins in my stash and thought this one was perfect for this months' project.

I let the napkin do all the work.  I separated the napkin layers and adhered the top printed layer to a card base using a glue stick and patience.  After dry, I trimmed the panel to fit a 5.5" card base with mats, added a die cut sentiment and white sequins and called this card finished.

Please stop in and join us at the challenge, we love seeing everyone's creativity.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #51

Hello Everyone and Happy July 3rd!  I hope you're enjoying a long holiday weekend and staying as Cool as you possibly can in this sweltering heat!

Today begins a new challenge month at The inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  Our photo prompt for July is so appropriate for this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere:

For my team project, I've decided to use an oldie but goodie digital image from Bugaboo Stamps.  I was inspired by the water and found a fun Snorkeling Penguin.  I've colored up the Poppi Penguin with Scuba Gear image using Prismacolor Pencils.

The patterned papers are from the Summer Vibes paper pack by Kat Scrappiness and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

To finish off the design, I've added faux gems that match the color of the water.  I've always loved Bugaboo images and they were the first digitals I started coloring.  I was also honored to be on the Design Team.  Jodie, I hope you are well and living your best life, wherever you are!

Please stop by the Inspiration Station Challenge and let's see how the photo prompt inspires you.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
