May 2024 Classic Design Challenge

Hi Friends and Happy Saturday!  I'm behind in posting and sharing my DT project for The Classic Design Challenge that started on the 15th of this month.  Our sponsors this month are Hetty Clare Art and Sheepski Designs.  My DT project features a cute Pirate from Hetty Clare Art

I've created a simple Fancy Fold card, the image has been colored using Prismacolor Pencils.  The patterned paper is from a paper pad by Scrapbook.com, the sentiments are from the Hello Sunshine Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp.

I've used a distressed edge nesting die set to cut focal panels and have added a bit of Wink of Stella to the image for a bit of sparkle.  Otherwise, I've left the card without any bells and whistles.

Please stop by the challenge blog and join in the fun.  We love seeing all the clever and creative designs that are shared with us each month.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge - Inspired by Yellowstone

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was wonderful!  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge round at The Inspiration Station.  The inspiration photo is a gorgeous photo of cowboys, a mountain range, a fence line, green grasses and horses.  This scene reminds me of the television program Yellowstone...do you watch it?  I certainly do!

For my team project, I was inspired by the horses and I have the most adorable image from Hetty Clare titled Pony Cross Country.  I couldn't resist using it for this challenge.

My card measures 5.5" square and the image has been colored using alcohol markers.  The focal panel has been cut using a diagonal stitched square die from My Favorite Things.

The papers are stash snippets from Recollections and the sentiment are Small Talk stickers from Tim Holtz.  I adore this young girls' face..it's drawn so sweetly.

Please join us this round at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  We love seeing how the photo inspires your projects.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

**The Inspiration Station is having a Design Team Call!  If you're interested in joining the team, please email 3 of your favorite projects and a short bio to Donna:  dlflowers64@gmail.com

Colour Crazy Crazy Challenge - Hetty Clare

Hello and TGIF!  Today begins a new fortnightly challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.  Our sponsor this week is the generous and talented Hetty Clare.

My design team project features the Hetty Clare Merry Christmouse digital stamp.  The sentiment has been generated by me, on my computer.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and kept the design simple, only using a black mat behind the focal panel.

I added Wink of Stella and Crystal Stickles for the necessary sparkle and shine; it's so hard to pick up in the photos.  The image is adorable; a Gray Mouse Couple having a glass of the holiday bubbly to celebrate a Happy Christmas!

Please join us this round at The Color Crazy Challenge!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Caveman Klob at The Paper Funday Challenges

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today begins a new monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges with the theme of Anything Goes and Optional Twist of Summer Fun.  The sponsors for this month are Dr. Digi and Hetty Clare.

For my design team project, I colored up Dr. Digi's Caveman Klob to create a masculine Birthday Card.  This image is funny and the recipient of this card will definitely get a laugh from Klob!

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the papers were snippets of scrap designer papers from a Photo Play 12x12 paper pack kit.  I die cut the focal image with a distressed edge die and mounted on foam pads for dimension.

I created a textured panel that matches his clothing using a stencil and Finnabair Crackle Texture Paste.  After the paste dried, I ink blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink over top to take away the stark white color.

Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges for your chance to win 1 of 2 prizes.  We hope to inspire you with our projects and love to see your designs.

Also, I want to tell you about a Blog Hop coming up on July 10th!  The Paper Funday along with our sister challenge, The Inspiration Station are having a Christmas in July Blog Hop loaded with holiday inspiration and prizes!  Be sure and visit my blog post on Saturday for all the details!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challenge - February 2021

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today starts a new monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  The theme this month is Anything Goes with Optional Twist of:  Love is in the Air and we have two wonderful sponsors:  Sherri Baldy's Besties and Hetty Clare.

For my design team project, I created a Valentine's Day card for a swap partner using a new Fluffy Besties image that I thought was perfect for such an occasion.

I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, designer papers from the Recollections "Love and Devotion" 12x12 paper pad and sentiment from the Cardz TV "Mini Messages" stamp set.  I followed Sketch #30 from Cardz TV Free Sketches and popped up the small left panel and focal image using foam pads.  Finally, the only bells and whistles used was  a bit of Wink of Stella on the hair band, the chocolate box ribbon, her lips and earrings.

Please join us this month for the challenge at The Paper Funday.  We hope to inspire you with our team projects and cannot wait to see what you've created using the Anything Goes with Optional Twist theme.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - Hetty Clare

Hello and Happy Wednesday.  Today begins a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges  with a theme of Anything Goes and Optional Twist of Halloween.  Our sponsor this month is the fabulous Hetty Clare and I had the pleasure of using her Pony Cross Country digital image in my design team project.

I created an A2 sized Autumn card and colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I used 12x12 loose papers I purchased at Hobby Lobby for the Mat and Banner.  I used Kraft card as my base and backed the designer papers with a brown card.  I kept everything simple, letting the cute image take center stage, only adding 3 golden gems in the lower right for accent.

We hope you'll join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  Please stop by to see what the other Design Team members have created and enter your own project for a chance to win.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing an A2 card featuring a digi stamp from Hetty Clare titled The Kiss.  Hetty has such great images and this one is no exception.  I originally purchased this image for a Valentine's Day card and decided to color it up again for my swap buddy.

The papers are from an American Crafts 6x6 paper pad titled Everyday; another Tuesda Morning score!  I hope you like this sweet little card which is being posted to my swap partner today.

The Paper Funday Challenges - Anything Goes with Optional Twist: Easter

Hello and Happy April Fool's Day...today starts a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges and that's no Fooling!  Our lovely sponsor this month is Hetty Clare and the theme is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Easter.

For my design team project I was Lucky enough to use the adorable Spring Has Sprung digi stamp.  This is such a cute image and was an easy color.  I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and made it simple.  The card measures the standard A2 size, I used some sequins, foam pads and a few mats to create some background interest.

We hope you'll join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  Crafting has been a nice outlet for me during this stressful time.  Please stay well, keep social distancing and remember...It's Safe to be at Home.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - December #12 Anything Goes with Optional Twist

Hello...it's the 1st Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for another challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges.  This month theme is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of Christmas Holiday.  Our sponsor this month is the sweet Hetty Clare who will be awarding some digital stamps to the winner.

For my design team project, I used 2 of Hetty Clare's images and created 5x5 tent folding Christmas Cards.  The first card is using the Skating Santa digi.  The designer papers are single 12x12 sheets I purchased at Hobby Lobby last Christmas and had plenty left over in my stash.

My 2nd card is created with Christmas Postbox.  Again, the designer papers were in my stash from last years' Hobby Lobby purchase.

I kept both cards fairly simple but did use lots of Wink of Stella for that shimmer.  I also added some Nuvo Drops for accents and inked up the sentiment strips with distress inks.

Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  I want to wish you and yours a safe and Blessed Christmas Holiday and a very Happy New Year!

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Hetty Clare

Hi, I'm back with another challenge for today.  This time, it's a new one at Penny's Challenges and the sponsors for this week are Hetty Clare and The Paper Shelter.

For my design team project, I've used this sweet image from Hetty Clare named Summer Picnic.  It's so adorable, I just love the ducks!

I kept this 5" square card fairly simple, only adding some Wink of Stella for sparkle.  I mounted the focal image straight to the card base.  Just a lovely Spring/Summer image.

Please join us at Penny's this week, we would love to have you.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - Love with a Twist

Hello and Happy Wednesday.  Today begins a new challenge at  The Paper Funday Challenges and the theme for February is Love with a Twist:  Create a paper project with a Love theme using the colors Red, Pink and White.  The sponsor for the challenge this month is Hetty Clare and she has some adorable images.

For my design team projects, I choose to create a Candy Box and Gift Tag using the Mini Miss Loveheart pre-colored digital stamp from Hetty Clare.

For the gift tag, I used a die to cut out a large tag out of designer paper.  I used another die to cut out a mat from more designer paper.  I then fussy cut the image and used a mini Action Wobble to pop up Mini Miss Loveheart.

The candy box is an SVG cut that I've had for a while but unfortunately I am unable to remember where it came from.  The little box will hold 6 pieces of fun sized candies easily.

I hope you will join in the challenge at Paper Funday this month.  We would love to see your creations and we hope to inspire your creativity.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Happy Days

Hello...for my second post of the day I would like to tell you about the challenge that started yesterday (17 Oct) at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges.  Our sponsors for this weeks' challenge are SheepSki Designs and Hetty Clare.

I had the pleasure of using the Happy Days digital image from Hetty Clare for my design team project this week.  I always enjoy coloring up Hetty Clare's images and this one was fun!

I've created another standard A2 sized card (4.25" x 5.5") in a landscape format and added some glitter tape from Cricut that I had in my stash.  I didn't add any other embellishments to this card, I just wanted to keep it simple this time.

I hope you will stop by the challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week and join in the fun for your chance to win some awesome images from our 2 sponsors.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
