Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges #462 - Anything Goes

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday.  Today begins a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and also a new schedule for the challenge itself.  Starting with this challenge, the challenge schedule is now every 2 weeks instead of weekly.

Our sponsor for this round is the lovely Pattie's Creations.  I used her image Fondant Cake for my design team project, creating a pretty Birthday Card for my stash.

This card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5").  The designer papers are from a Simple Stories paper stack.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and fussy cut the image.  I die cut some balloons out of scraps, added some clear sequins and called this card complete.

Please stop in a join us for the challenge at Penny's.  You now have 2 weeks to complete your projects and enter for your chance to win some of Pattie's Creations.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - April Challenge

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today starts a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenges.  This month, the theme is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Easter.

We have a wonderful sponsor for this month also, it's the sweet Little Loves in Us on Etsy.  This shoppe has the sweetest digital images so please stop by and see what's on offer.  You won't be disappointed.

For my design team project, I created two; a greeting card with a Christian Theme for the Optional Twist of Easter and an Art Card that can be displayed on an Easel or mounted on a card front for a quick greeting.

Please join in the fun this month at The Paper Funday Challenges; we would love to see what you create and be inspired by you.  And the best thing - you could win some sweet images from Little Loves in Us.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Design Team Project - Challenge #395

Today I'm sharing with you my design team project for the Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #395.  The sponsors this week are Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and Pattie's Creations.

This week I used the funny and cute Rita on a Scooter image from Dr. Digi.  This image just makes me smile and reminds me of my mother.  If she were still with us, she would be riding her scooter all around and this sentiment is exactly something she would say!

I colored Rita and her scooter up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and used some digital papers that look like a quilt for the layer over my base.  I added some blue gems and a sentiment I printed from my computer.  I have a file of sentiments that I save when I come across something I like.  When I need a sentiment that I don't have a stamp for, I go through my list and print something out.  I just change the font and size to match what I need.

I hope you were inspired to join us over at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges this week for your chance to win some awesome images from our two sponsors.

Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges - Shop Til You Drop

It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and my design team project for this week is an adorable digi from one of the challenge sponsors:  Time for Tea Designs on Etsy.  I used the image Shop Til You Drop and she was so much fun to color.

I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and embellished with some red gemstones.  I die cut the image out of Neenah White 110 lb. cardstock as well as the little tag.  I thought the sentiment was cute with some added embroidery thread acting as a ribbon.

Treat yourself with a digital image from Time for Tea Designs.  I hope my post today inspired you to join us in the challenge this week and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Lovely Lavendar and White Card with Matching Box

Hello Everyone!  I hope all is well with you and yours.

Today I have another card with matching box to share with you.  I couldn't resist creating this set using my favorite color which is Purple and all shades thereof.  This card measures 4.25" x 5.5" (A2).

The die cuts used for this card are the lace doily, the white background mat and the sentiment circle.  The sentiment is heat embossed with Ranger Gold Fine Embossing Powder.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from my stash (Wal-Mart I believe).

I dotted the flowers with liquid adhesive and sprinkled extra fine glitter on the adhesive.  The adhesive will dry clear and all that's left to be seen is the glitter.  This technique of using glitter in this way was inspired by Christina Griffiths at Flowers, Ribbons and Pearls.

The Box was made using heavy weight cardstock, Neenah 110 lb Solar White and Embossed Purple cardstock placed on top.  The box is finished off with a ribbon closure and the box measures 4.5" x 5.75", slightly larger than the card for a good fit.  *** Tip:  I used a circle punch to cut 1/2 circles from the sides of the lid in order to provide an easier opening of the box.

Both the card and box are being offered for sale in my Etsy Shoppe (link to your right - in the column).

That's all I have for you today; I hope you were inspired and until next time....Happy Crafting!

Havana

Today I would like to share a card I created using the Havana papers from Prima Marketing, Inc.  This is a lovely paper pack with soft, pastel colors and wonderful images.  I'm not sure how to describe this card; I want to call it an Easel card however it's not like a standard Easel.

This is a standard A2 size card (4.25" x 5.5").  I used an unbranded die for the clock image and circle background; added color with alcohol markers.  I then added die cuts of dandelions  inside and inked them with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in the color Peacock Feathers.

The colors are soft and shabby chic.

I created a tag and used an unbranded stamp for the sentiment.  I purchase many of my unbranded dies and stamps from AliExpress.  I have been pleased with everything I have received from AliExpress thus far.  When you're on a budget, AliExpress is kind to the pocketbook.

All You Need Is Love....this is yet another unbranded stamp from AliExpress.  I love the meaning behind the sentiment and thought it matched the beauty of the Havana papers.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Till next time, Happy Crafting!
