Inspiration Station Challenge #74 - Rainbow Hugs

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy 1st Monday of June! Today starts a new challenge month at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog. We have a fun and colorful inspiration photo for you this month, and this one can be interpreted in so many ways:

I was directly inspired by the rainbow of colors on this Carnival Swing Chair Ride and based my design team project on that. I've used the After the Rain Rainbow Die Set, Rainbow Hugs Sentiment Die set from Kat Scrappiness and the Cloud Edger Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs.

A stitched cloud die is included in the Rainbow set and I've cut 2, staggering and popping them on foam pads. I've inked around the edges for dimension. Lastly, I've added pearlescent sequins to complete the design.

Re-Discovery Hop on Instagram - Rainbow

Hello Friends! Long time No Share....I've been so busy lately, I don't know if I'm coming or going but I did manage to get my card made for the Rediscovery Hop on Instagram. The premise of this Hop is to use items from your stash to create a card featuring the theme. The theme this month is Rainbow.

I've had these Rainbow sets from Kat Scrappiness in my stash for a couple of years and have never used the rainbow set; I've used the sentiment set once before. While shopping my stash, I found them and they are perfect for this months' theme!

To start, I die cut all the rainbow pieces and ink blended them with Gina K. Designs inks in the traditional rainbow color palette. After the ink was dry, I splattered diluted blue ink on the cloud and white ink on the rainbow. I then assembled on a card panel, popping up the cloud on craft foam.

The sentiment has been cut from Gold Mirror card and adhered directly to the cloud. To finish, I've added iridescent confetti from Pretty Pink Posh. Hugs and Smooches

Hello and Happy Saturday! I'm on the Kat Scrappiness Blog today sharing a Valentine's Day Card created with new products from the Kat Scrappiness January Valentine's Day Release.

This card was so fun to create and it looks complicated but the dies made it easy. To start my card, I cut strips of card from the Spectrum of Love Slimline Paper Pack and adhered to the back of the Smooches Coverplate Die cut in rainbow order (ROYGBIV). This created a card front full of fun and colorful lips. This die set also includes the extra large pair of lips that I cut from bright pink card, adhered to a black shadow and applied Glossy Accents for that shiny Lip Gloss Look.

To complete the design, I've cut the sentiment using the Rainbow Hugs Sentiment with Shadow Die from Lavendar card and popped on craft foam for dimension. Lastly, I've applied Wink of Stella to the sentiment for the extra sparkle a Valentine's Day card requires.
