Beautiful Blossoms Challenge - March/April 2026

Hello and Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!  I can't believe it's the 15th of the month and time for a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  Time is steadily marching on!

I know several of you are dreaming of Spring and it will soon be here. Our optional inspiration photo features March flowers and pretty Spring colors and I chose to use the photo as inspiration for my project this month.

Angie Blom's latest release features a very pretty set with Daffodils that I thought would be perfect for my card this month; it's the new A Cup of Kindness Digital Kit.  Better yet, at the time of this writing, Angie Blom is offering 40% off her digital kits.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers and the patterned paper is from the "Easter Egg-plosion" 6x6 paper pad by Ink 'n Splatter, the enamel dots are from my stash. I've inked around the edge of the focal panel with yellow ink and adhered flat to the card.

The team and I hope you'll pop over to the Challenge and join us this month.  We love seeing everyone's Floral designs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

It's a Spring Fling!

Happy Fri-YAY Friends!  I hope your week was smooth sailing and you're ready for a nice weekend.  I have a quick share today featuring a bunny from Whimsy Stamps.  This card could go for Easter or a Spring Hello.

This image is part of the Bunny Spring Squares digital stamp set, which includes 4 different images, and the bunnies are so adorable.  I've colored the image using alcohol markers, and was a quick color as I wanted a white bunny.

The papers are the last from a Spring/Easter pack by Kat Scrappiness and the sentiment is from an older Spring Set by Cardz TV.  The focal and sentiment have been popped on foam pads for dimension, no bells or whistles added as the paper was enough.

Have a fabulous weekend, and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #71 - March 2025

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy 1st Monday of March!  It's time for a new challenge month at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  Spring is just around the corner, and I'm certain there are many who wish it were here now.  Our inspiration photo this month should get your Springtime creative mojo fired up.

Isn't this an adorable picture?  I couldn't help but take my inspiration from the bunny love in this photo.  I've colored up the Little Rose digital image, which is part of the Fluffy Kisses Set by Lily of the Valley.

I've colored the images using alcohol markers, the sentiment is from the Hippity Hoppity Stamp Set and the patterned paper is from an Easter Pack, both by Kat Scrappiness.  I've ink blended a sky using a cloud stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and Catherine Pooler blue ink.

The team and I hope you'll stop by The Inspiration Station Challenge and join in this month.  We are always inspired by the creativity shared with us and hope to inspire you with our designs.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hoppy Easter

Hi Friends and Happy Weekend!  I'm back with another quick share featuring the little sitting bunny I shared yesterday but today he's with his stool.

I can see this precious little one in all sorts of scenarios, not just Easter.  I was gifted the die set but I have found him on Amazon HERE.  While searching for him I also found a bunny in a swing...how cute is that?

I've kept the card Sweet and Simple using a scrap of patterned paper for him to "land" on, some pearls from Kat Scrappiness and a sentiment from Alina Crafts.

I did some shading on the bunny with alcohol markers, it helps him stand out against the white background.  That's all I have for today.  I wish you a fantastic weekend and until next time, Happy Crafting!

To Some-Bunny Special

Hi Friends!  It's Fri-YAY and I have a quick post for you today.  I'm trying to get the last of my Easter cards completed so they can be posted no later than Monday the 3rd.  Easter has crept up on me this year.

I was gifted this cute bunny die and thought I would make a few CAS designs using it.  The die set also includes a little stool for him to sit on and I have created a card with the stool that I will share next.

The frame is from Fun Stampers Journey; the package of 12 frames are foiled and come in different shapes.  The patterned paper is a snippet from my scrap container; I believe it is from an Easter themed digital paper pack.

The sentiment is from Alina Craft and the pale yellow pearls are from Kat Scrappiness.  I'm trying to master the clean and simple technique, my problem is I don't know when to stop.  All the white space begs me to add something to it.  I think I did fairly well with this one today so YAY me!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Easter Daffodils

Hello Sweet Friends and Happy Monday!  I trust your weekend was lovely and you found a bit of time for yourself.  Easter is fast approaching and I'm working on Easter cards; as usual I've waited till last minute **sigh.

I've had this Easter Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs for a couple of years now and only remember to use it at Easter time.  It's a shame because the Daffodils are so pretty and would make a lovely project for Spring; even Mother's Day.

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and tried to stay true to a traditional Daffodil color palette.  I was experimenting with different shades of green and prefer the medium tones that appear on each side of the image.

I thought a Clean and Simple theme was enough since the image is substantial. I've matted with a panel of black card and added enamel dots for added visual interest.  That completes the card and my post for today.

Have a fantastic Monday and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Instagram Card Makers Discovery Hop - March 2023

Hi Friends and Happy Sunday!  It's time for this months' Instagram Card Makers Re-Discovery Hop where the premise of this Just for Fun Themed Hop is creating a project using items you have in your stash.  The theme this month is Easter. and there's loads of inspiration from a huge line-up of card makers, you can start the Hop HERE.

This project took me deep into my stash. I was searching for something cute and festive for this hop and I came across a digital stamp set I had won last year.  This bunny and sentiment are part of the Egg-stra Ducky Easter Digital Stamp Set by Angie Blom Digital Designs.  I never got to use the images from this set last Easter so today was the day to finally use this set!

I've colored the images using my Prismacolor Pencils.  The focal panel was cut using a nesting stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness.  The patterned paper was also found in the stash, it's part of a digital Easter pack and was a Card Making Magazine Freebie.

I've die cut a frame from green card using a nesting frame rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness.  I've adhered the frame flat to the patterned paper, which gives the illusion there is a mat behind, but doesn't use a whole panel of card.  I now have the inside of the frame to use on another project.  As a finishing touch, I've added iridescent sequins for a bit of bling.

I hope you'll hop along with us today.  There are lots of great card makers participating, so there is loads of inspiration for using those forgotten about items in one's stash.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #27 - Rabbit Food

Hello and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you made time to do something fun!  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Inspiration Station and the photo prompt is:

My eye was drawn to the Bunny Face made out of veggies so I've created an Easter Card for my design team project.

Using the Spellbinders "Wonderful Spring" Clear Stamp of the Month Set from March 2021, I've  created a sweet and simple wreath of florals framing a sweet bunny.

The images have been colored using alcohol markers and the panel has been popped on craft foam, then matted with silver mirror card.

The sentiment has been stamped and die cut with a banner die.  To finish the design, I've added faux pearls from the Mermaid Tail Pearl Mix by Kat Scrappiness.

Please visit us at The Inspiration Station, we would love to see how this photo prompt inspires you.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Easter Layered Tulips

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today I'm on the Kat Scrappiness Blog featuring an Easter Card created with the Layered Tulip Bouquet Die Set.

To start my card, I've inked scraps of card using pigments inks in the colors I wanted the flowers, leaves and bow to be.  I wanted a full bouquet so I've die cut the florals and leaves twice, then paper pieced all the elements using liquid adhesive.

I wanted to keep the card design as Clean and Simple as possible to allow the pastel colors to POP.   The card base measures 5.5" square and is tent (top) folding. Using the Brush Script Happy Easter Word Sentiment Die, I cut the sentiment from a snippet of ink-smooshed watercolor card left over from a previous project.  To give the illusion of dimension, I shadow layered the sentiment with a black die cut.

To finish off the design, I applied Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops for the appearance of water droplets on the tulips and leaves.

That's all for today!  The Kat Scrappiness March 2022 New Product Release is March 13th so stay tuned for an Instagram Hop to Celebrate!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Carrots the Bunny by Not 2 Shabby

Hello Everyone!  Today I'm sharing an Easter Card (is it too early for Easter Cards?) featuring Carrots the Bunny and coordinating sentiments from Not 2 Shabby.  This is an adorable digital stamp set which includes 4 sentiments and 2 sizes of Carrots the Bunny.  My A2 card features the larger bunny image and Easter related sentiment.

Because the image and sentiments are digital stamps, they can be resized to match your crafting needs. I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the background panel has been scored to give it a "tile-like" appearance and I've torn strips of scrap DSP for color and interest.  Also, the carrot paper strip gives the Bunny a place to "land" instead of him appearing to "float" in the air.

Before adhering the bunny to the panel, I decided to add a snippet of gold card and black twine.  I like the look of that much better so I popped Carrots and the sentiment strips up using craft foam and adhered them to the card panel using liquid adhesive. Lastly, I've added gems from the Blue Belle Pearl Mix by Kat Scrappiness to complete the design.

Thanks for visiting today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Friends Forever, Perfect Together

Hello and Happy Thursday!  It's April 1st and in the USA it's April Fool's Day.  I have a cute card to share today and that's no foolin'!  With Easter approaching, I wanted to share two adorable Bunnies who are Friends Forever.

I love Scene cards so I used elements from the Spellbinders "Welcome Spring" card kit and "Celebrate Spring" Stamp Set to create my little scene.  The Bunny die cuts match the patterned paper wonderfully; the paper pad included in the kit is chocked full of beautiful Spring prints and patterns.  For a finishing touch, I added pink gems from the kit.  The gems are so sparkly!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Bunny and Friends Celebrate Spring

Hello and Happy Sunday.  The weekend is slowly coming to a close but before the night gets any later, I wanted to share a make from today's power crafting session.  This A2 card was created with die cuts, stamps, designer papers and embellishements from the Spellbinders March 2021 "Celebrate Spring" card kit.

This months' card kit was chocked full of fun things to play with:  a 6x6 paper pad, die cuts, stamp set, dies, embellishments, puffy stickers.  When using card kits, I generally create clusters with different elements.  I used a tag die set to create a panel for the focal images and a sentiment tag.  The sentiment was part of the stamp set in this months' kit.  I embossed the large tag with a dandelion embossing folder and lightly inked with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink.

I created a scene with the bunny along with his buttterfly and songbird friends.  I mounted the focal tag and butterfly with foam pads, added some tiny gold heart embellishments and a bow made from Fun Stampers Journey Marigold Twine.

I plan on sending this card to a swap buddy, to wish her a Happy Spring and to let her know I cherish her friendship.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Easter Daffodils

Good Saturday to you!  Easter is fast approaching and today's make and share features beautiful Daffodils, Ink Blending and Alcohol Marker coloring.

My card measures 5" square, the image and sentiment stamps are from the Gina K. Designs Forever Flowers card kit.  I embossed and ink blended a panel with Distress Oxide Inks in shades of blue, colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, cut a banner for the sentiment, added enamel dots and twine for a finishing touch.

Daffodils are a sure sign of Spring and as a child, I always knew when I saw them pop up, it would be time to go shop for a new Easter Dress.  Have a Great Day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Lots of Layers

Hello and Welcome!  Today begins a new challenge at Creative Knockouts Challenges and our theme this round is Lots of Layers.  We also have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge, LeAnn's World 101.

For my design team project, I had the pleasure of using Playful Ears to make a cute Easter Card.  Since the theme is Lots of Layers, I though I would add some dimension and layer fussy cut elements to my card in addition to using more than 1 piece of designer paper.

This card measures the standard A2 and I colored the images with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I fussy cut both sets of ears, the little star and popped them up on foam pads.  It's hard to get the feel of the layering and dimension in the picture but it's neat and I like how it turned out.  I layered using 2 mats, added sequins for extra sparkle and called this card finished.

We hope you'll join us this round at Creative Knockouts, we would love to see you there.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
