Hello and Welcome to Saturday! Todays make and share features ink blending, stamping, die cutting and Oranges!
The card started by stamping a juicy bunch of ripe Oranges from the Hero Arts Orange Blossoms Stamp Set. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I die cut a circle in a snippet of masking paper and ink blended orange tones using Distress Oxide Inks.
I then splattered the inked area with water and White Gloss Spray by Dina Wakley, mounted the image on foam pads and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.
Living in Florida, we have an Orange Tree in our Garden, it's at least 40 years old and continually produces delicious fruit for us each season.

What a cheerful card - I love 'home grown' oranges, they have so much more flavour than bought ones. Love your card, and that orange circle makes a stunning background.

Lovely card. I like the pun. Oh, I do wish our orange trees had survived. We lost them both with back to back hurricanes about 15 years ago. They were amber sweet and literally produced so many oranges that we filled up paper grocery bags to give to neighbors and our daughter in law's parents who lived in Tenn would come down at Thanksgiving and take so many back. Their family enjoyed them so much. Our lemon tree also ended up biting the dust years later no matter how much we babied it. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteThanks Bunny! Our Tree has slowed down producing and last year I thought they weren't as good. I wonder if it's the age of the tree or the reduction of bees and butterflies (pollinators)
DeleteLovely bright card and I could just eat those oranges. Thank you for taking part in Allsorts 12th birthday challenge.
