Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday! It's the first Wednesday of the month and it's time for a new challenge at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog. The team had a nice holiday break and we're ready for some fun and creativity. Our generous sponsors this month are Taylored Expressions and Sweet November Stamps, with our optional twist for January being a Sketch:
For my design team project, I chose not to use the optional sketch but instead used the Bitty Bouquet Stamp and Coordinating Stencil Set from Taylored Expressions. This set was included in the Nature's Canvas Cardmaking Kit, and I don't believe it is sold separately.
To start, using inks from Catherine Pooler, I've stamped the panel with the green stems and leaves, then ink blended the remaining layered stencil elements. The result is a very cheerful background panel, which I thought would be a perfect Friendship card (or even a Galentine's Day card).

Hi Donna! I’m just popping over to let you know that you are the winner of the Pink and Main stamps and dies at my blog, Snail Mail Studio. This was for the Word Art Wednesday annual blog giveaway. I did email you, but I’m not always sure if those are up-to-date so I wanted to make sure that you knew. You can reach out to me at Barbfinnical@gmail.com with your address and I will gladly mail you your stamps and dies! Thanks so much for playing along with us!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Donna! LOVE the vellum AND that great die! The sketch for the challenge is a fun one! Thanks, Donna, for maintaining so many nice challenges for the rest of us!
ReplyDeletethank you for submitting your creation with us at A Place to Start
ReplyDeleteYou've created such a beautiful background for this card, and I love how the sentiment is made more visible with the vellum strip. Thank you so much for entering your lovely card in our latest challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Cheryl W, DT
ReplyDeleteThe layered stenciling creates such a bright, uplifting panel, and the green stems give the whole design a lovely sense of movement. The vellum behind the sentiment is a perfect choice to keep it readable without losing any of that gorgeous background. The little pink gems add just the right touch of sparkle. A beautiful way to start the new challenge month.
