Hello everyone and thanks for visiting. Today I'm sharing one of the sympathy cards I was asked to make. I have a hard time with sympathy cards because #1 I don't like making them and #2 I struggle with how to create them. I don't want to make them to flashy and for a lack of a better word...disrespectful. I think I managed to create a 6" x6" tasteful and yet beautiful card for my customer. I hope she likes it.
I used a digital paper from Scrapbooking Gems on Etsy for the mat and Anna Griffin print and cut flowers from the Cricut Design Space. The butterfly was one from my stash as well as the ribbon and faux pearl. The die cut piece is also from the Cricut Design Space.
I hope you have a wonderful week and until next time, Happy Crafting!
Donna

Hi Donna, a lovely thinking of you card, I don't know any crafter that likes to make sympathy cards, you have done a wonderful job. Thank you for joining us at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends... good luck in the prize draw... Megan DT LPoCF
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sympathy card Donna - you got the balance just right. i find they're the hardest cards to make at times.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like your first time playing with us in the Snippets Playground? Hooray! Can you please leave a comment on my blog post for the challenge letting me know if you want to play for the prize. I ask for that as a couple of times in the past it turned out that people were just playing for fun and it's a bit of a bother having the re-run the random number things and then do an updated post! Adding myself to your followers!
Hugs

Your card is like a sweet flower garden. I can almost smell the perfumed air! Thanks for sharing your card with us at QKR Stampede this week. DT Kathy
