Hello all, I do hope your Christmas was Awesome and Your Boxing Day (today) is even better! After a long Hiatus, I'm back on the Design Team for Creative Knockouts and today begins a new challenge.
Our sponsor for this round is Kelly Schelske, our Fearless Leader and a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant. Kelly is awarding the winner of this weeks' challenge a CTMH Stamp Set.
I chose to use a digital image from Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley titled Candy Cane Classic for my design team project. The theme for this round is Celebrations and I thought this Candy Cane card was perfect for a Christmas Celebration. I have since posted this card to a dear friend in Georgia, I hope she received in good order and liked.
This card measures 5" square and I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. I added clear gems and Wink of Stella for the glitter and gleam, popped up the focal image with foam pads and used some designer papers I had in my stash. The colors are very vibrant in person, the photo just doesn't do it justice.
Please join us at Creative Knockouts with your project reflecting the Theme of Celebrations. Best of luck to you in the draw and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges #460 - Anything Goes
Hello and Happy Wednesday! I hope your holiday preparations are going smoothly, we only have 14 more Sleeps until Father Christmas comes!
Today starts a new challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and our sponsor this week is the cute and quirky OddBall Art. For my design team project this week I've had the pleasure of working with the adorable image Chilly Willy. I'm still working on Christmas Cards so I was so happy to color him up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers for one of my last cards this season.
This card measures the standard A2 (4.25" x 5.5"), I cut some snowflakes out of silver mirror card for accents and heat embossed the sentiment with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and the designer papers are from The Paper Studio 12"x12" paper stack titled Ornamental Christmas. For the final touch, I added some clear Ranger Stickles on his hat tie and his scarf.
Please visit us this week at Penny's and share your creation for a chance to win some images from OddBall Art. The team and I hope to inspire you with our projects and to be inspired by yours.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - December #12 Anything Goes with Optional Twist
Hello...it's the 1st Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for another challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges. This month theme is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of Christmas Holiday. Our sponsor this month is the sweet Hetty Clare who will be awarding some digital stamps to the winner.
For my design team project, I used 2 of Hetty Clare's images and created 5x5 tent folding Christmas Cards. The first card is using the Skating Santa digi. The designer papers are single 12x12 sheets I purchased at Hobby Lobby last Christmas and had plenty left over in my stash.

My 2nd card is created with Christmas Postbox. Again, the designer papers were in my stash from last years' Hobby Lobby purchase.
I kept both cards fairly simple but did use lots of Wink of Stella for that shimmer. I also added some Nuvo Drops for accents and inked up the sentiment strips with distress inks.
Please join us this month at The Paper Funday Challenges. I want to wish you and yours a safe and Blessed Christmas Holiday and a very Happy New Year!
Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges #459
Hello! It's time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog and the sponsor this round is All Dressed Up Stamps. I had the pleasure of using the sweet digital stamp Cupcake for my design team project:
I kept the card simple, for me anyway, due to the rush of Thanksgiving and decorating the home for Christmas this past week and weekend. It was nice to sit down with my alcohol markers and color...so relaxing.
I took some liberties in adding some of my own design elements to the original drawing. I also tried to limit the color palette to just 4 main colors.
Please join us this week over at Penny's for a chance to win some awesome digital images from our Sponsor All Dressed Up Stamps.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!
