Hello and Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing a Christmas in August card featuring a set of Modern Christmas Trees. The digital image is from Varada Sharma Designs and is part of a larger set which can be found HERE.
The simplicity of the images appealed to me and I thought this image would be great foiled. In order to foil digital images, they need to be printed using a laser printer. I have an inexpensive HP Laser printer I use for crafting and I like it because it handles heavy card like a champ. I printed the image and hot foiled using a laminator and toner reactive foil.
While photographing, I tried to pick up the shine of the foiling, it really adds lots of pizazz to these simple, modern trees. I added color using alcohol markers, the plaid paper is from the Memory Box Christmas Plaids 6x6 paper pad and the mini sentiment is from Cardz TV.
.
Have you started creating your holiday cards yet? Do you post cards every season? I do and usually send an average of 30 handcrafted cards each year to family, friends and neighbors.
Thanks for stopping by today and until next time, Happy Crafting!

OH! I wish I had read this before buying my printer a couple of months ago. What a fabulous result and easier than using a pen to foil with my Silhouette! I love the trees and the foiling and the plaid, a Super card.
