Gift of Hope

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome to Sunday!  Superbowl Sunday here in the States, but that's not a big deal to me...I'll be crafting while hubby cheers on his Philadelphia Eagles!  Will you be watching the Game?

I have a quick share for you today featuring an image from the Gift of Hope Digital Set by Graciellie Design. I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils...I'm still trying to perfect my technique using these art tools.

The patterned papers are from the Echo Park Good Day Sunshine 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment is from the Bitty Blossoms Mini Set by Gina K. Designs.

I'm not happy with that fussy cutting work!  I don't know what possessed me to hand cut it but once I started, I was committed.  The image and sentiment have been popped on craft foam and the design finished with clear gems.

Have a wonderful week ahead and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Donna

  2. Great job with the shading and highlighting in your petals, Donna, not to mention GORGEOUS jewel-tone color choices! I hear you about fussy cutting, but it doesn't look displeasing to me! I think it looks perfectly "die cut"! Soooo pretty!

  8. Such a pretty card, love your coloring work and the papers you chose. I smiled at your fussy cutting comments and second them, but I seem to be a hopeless addict about it. I bought some lighted magnifying glasses on amazon and they do help me, less headaches and neck/shoulder/back pain. I should wear them when I color too, lol. We watched the game, and Honey also was rooting for the Eagles, mostly because Jalen Hurts is from Honey's hometown and his mom knows the parents. I was just in it for the commercials. Enjoyed the Benifer Dunkin Donuts, Breaking Bad Doritos and the Workday Rockstar commercials (Ozzy Osbourne cracked me up). My favorite every year though is the Johnny Cash Ragged Old Flag poem, I always tear up. He wrote it in 1974. XOX

  9. Donna, I think your coloring is perfect! These blooms are beautiful! Someone will certainly be thrilled to find this card in their mailbox. I must admit, that as a Missouri girl, I had to cheer on the Chiefs! I felt bad about that last call that allowed the chiefs to score the winning points...until I read an article this a.m. The player that was doing the 'holding' says he was absolutely holding. I felt sorry for the momma Kelcie, who had a boy on each team. She had to know that one of her boys would be awake all night with excitement, and one awake all night with heartache. Halftime, I could have done without. Like Aimeslee said, I had a few fave commercials, but didn't really care for most of them. Thanks for sharing!!!
