Double Trouble Guest Designer - Something, Anything, Everything Challenge #98

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge at The Double Trouble Challenge Blog.  The theme this round is Something, Anything, Everything and you can earn extra chances in the Random Draw by entering in challenges with previous partners.

I've had a great time guest designing with the team this month and today is my last GDT project.  It's been a true honor!

For my project today, I've created a Christmas Card in non-traditonal colors (which I love) using a digital image from the Cozy Girl Set by Le Petite Market on Etsy.

I've colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer papers are from the "Winter Wonderland" 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug Design.

To finish off the design, I've popped the focal image on craft foam for dimension, addded faux gems from Kat Scrappiness and a sentiment strip that has been embossed with fine detail white power on a snippet of black card.

Please join us at The Double Trouble Challenges, we would love to see your designs!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Colour Crazy Challenge - Snowflake Imprint

Hello and Happy Friday!  If you're in the States, I trust you had a lovely Thanksgiving Day Holiday and now ready to tackle that left-over turkey.  For everyone, Happy Black Friday - time to get the Christmas Shopping started!  Do you brave the Black Friday Sales in person or do you take advantage of Cyber Monday?

Today begins a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog and the sponsor this round is Ching Chou-Kuik.  For my design team project, I've colored the Snowflake Imprint digital image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

My card measures 5" square, designer papers are from the Carta Bella "Merry Christmas" 6x6 paper pad.  To highlight the snowflakes, I used a White Gelly Roll pen and once dry, went over them with a Sparkle Gelly Roll Pen.  Lastly, I've added a strip of ribbon from my stash and faux gems to finish everything.

Please join us this at The Colour Crazy Challenge this round, we hope to inspire you with our projects.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Krafty Chicks GDT - All Occasions

Hello Crafty Friends and to all those in the States - Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you have a blessed day filled with fellowship, fun and good food!

Today is my last Guest Design team project with the Krafty Chicks Challenge.  It's been a fun month of creating with the awesome team and I'm thankful for the opportunity.  The theme this week is "All Occasions" and I've created a Friendship Card that is versatile and can be used for any occasion.

I've used the Heads & Tails Stamp Set from Maymay Made It to create a sweet and simple card design.  I did a quick search on the site for this set but was unable to find it.  It's a set from 2018 so it may be retired however there are loads of fun sets to choose from.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added Wink of Stella for sparkle.  To finish, I've added a faux gem to the little guy's bow tie.

Please stop by the Krafty Chicks Challenge this week, we would love to see your All Occasions projects!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - Season's Tweetings

Hello and Happy Monday Friends!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The prize this week comes from Lawn Fawn and the theme is Anything Goes.  For my design team project, I've created a Christmas Card using the Lawn Fawn Winter Sparrows Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the papers are from the Merry Christmas 6x6 paper pack from Alina Crafts; purchased on Amazon.

I've added lots of sparkle and shine to my card; applying Wink of Stella, Faux Gems and Exta Fine White Cotton Glitter to replicate snow in the branch.  I love these sweet little birdies, Lawn Fawn does have adorable images and these small sets have a great price point.

In the States, we are approaching our Thanksgiving Day Holiday and it's going to be a busy week for many.  I hope you find some time to create something beautiful....even if it's roasting the perfect Turkey!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Krafty Chicks GDT - Clean and Simple

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Thursday!  Today begins a new challenge week at The Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.  The theme this week is Clean and Simple (CAS).  I'm guest designing with the Team and I've created a CAS Winter/Holiday themed card.

I've used the "Warm Hands" Layering Stamp Set from Waffle Flower  and Catherine Pooler Inks in shades of Blue to create a CAS card.

The card has no bells and whistles other than a black mat to accent the main panel.  This is a lovely set but it did throw me off when I first stamped it.  It seemed to not stamp properly so I went to Waffle Flowers' website and watched a video for the set.  It was designed to not stamp in areas, so I felt much better than it wasn't my technique but rather how the stamp was created.

Stop by the Krafty Chicks Challenge this week!  We would love to see your CAS creations.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Double Trouble Guest Designer - Challenge #97 Peek-A-Boo

Hello and Happy Monday Friends!  It's a busy Monday and I've returned with my 2nd GDT card for the Double Trouble Challenge Blog.  The theme for Challenge #97 is "Peek-A-Boo":

I've created a Peek a Boo fold following an awesome tutorial by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft.  This crafter is so talented and I can binge watch her videos!

I'm in love with this fold, it looks so complicated but once you get started, it is quite easy and quick to put together.  The designer papers are from the Sunny Studios "Sweater Weather" 6x6 paper pack, the images and sentiment are from the Close to My Heart "You Warm My Heart" stamp set.

An Aperture is created and you have 1 image through when card is closed and when it's opened, the other image slides into place and reveals itself.  So Fun!  To create my Aperture, I've used a Nesting Stitched Rectangle Die from Kat Scrappiness.  Any shape can be used, for the next one I create, I will use a circle die.

Please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for the next 2 weeks and enter your Peek a Boo creation.  We hope to inspire you with our designs and look forward to seeing yours!

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer paper is from the Carta Bella "Christmas Market" 6x6 paper pad.

I've used a mat of gold mirror card, added Crystal Stickle, Wink of Stella and sequins to add interest, sparkle and shine.  I've even stamped the Cocoa/Coffee Mugs with tiny snowflakes.

Please stop by the Challenge Blog to see the team inspiration and go ahead and enter the challenge.  We would love to see your designs!  A new monthly challenge will start 06 December so until then, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #18 - Wood You Rather

Hello and Happy Monday Crafty Friend!  It's a busy Monday with lots of projects for you and I'm sharing my team project for the new Inspiration Station Challenge starting today.  The inspiration photo this round is the following and can be intrepreted your own way.  It's a view of a cut tree, a piece of wood, the forest, nature....the intrepretation is yours and that's the point of the Inspiration Station.

For my project, I've interpreted the photo as Trees and used that to create a Masculine Christmas Card using papers from The Paper Studio "Rustic Noel" 6x6 paper pad.

The sentiment is the Happy Holidays Word Die with Shadow from Kat Scrappiness.  I've kept the card very simple, only adding a Spruce Green Mat and an outline of Gold Stickles.  I'm letting the designer paper with the trees and wood background be the star of this card.

Please visit and join in the challenge at The Inspiration Station.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Coffee Lover's Fall/Winter Blog Hop

Hi Friends!  It's time for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.  I've created a Coffee Themed Card as part of the Kat Scrappiness Team.  Kat Scrappiness is a Super Sponsor of this event and in addition to sponsoring this Hop, Kat is offer 15% off Store Wide with the Coupon Code:  FWCOFFEEHOP

For my card.  I used the Let's Get Caffeinated Stamp Set and the Layered Coffee Cup Die Set to create an A2 sized card.  Using the Coffee Bean stamps and Catherine Pooler Inks, I've created my own designer paper.

The Cup is die cut from 110 lb. Neenah Solar White card and the dyed seam binding is from D.L. Art.  The card base is also 110 lb. Neenah card.

The sentiment is from the Let's Get Caffeinated Stamp set and has been heat embossed.  To add some additional interest, I scored the cup wrapper to give it a corrugated look and popped up the Cup on craft foam.

Please visit the Kat Scrappiness Blog to see what my teammates have created then head to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog and Hop along.  It's a fun hop so don't miss it.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Krafty Chicks Challenge - Christmas

Hello and Happy Thursday!  For those of you in the States, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Veteran's Day and say "Thank You" to all the Veterans, past and present, for their Service to our Country.

I'm back today sharing my second Guest Desiger project for The Krafty Chicks Challenge.  The theme this week is Christmas and I've created a Country Christmas Cottage Card...say that 5X fast!

Using the Home Sweet Home Die SetChristmas Wishes Word Die with Shadow and Quokka Christmas Costume Add On Stamp Set, all from Kat Scrappiness, I've created a Cottage Shaped Card.

I die cut the House with colored cardstock and colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The sentiment is cut from Silver Mirror Card with the shadow from Vellum.

For some wintery effects, I've added Aleen's True Snow and Gold Stickles.   The house die only cuts one so I cut two in order to have the back of the card.  I scored across the top of the back panel and adhered to the front so I would have a top folding card.

Please visit the Krafty Chicks Challenge this week and enter!  We would love to see your festive makes this week.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Anything Goes

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The Sponsor this round is CAS_ual Fridays Stamps.   For my design team project, I've created a Winter or Holiday themed card using the Snowflake Stencil and a sentiment from the Snow Angel Stamp Set; which seems to be Retired and was only available as part of a Black Friday Sale in 2019.  I found a picture of the set on the My Kraft Kloset Blog.

To create my card, I heat embossed the sentiment using fine detail white powder and stenciled using Hero Arts Unicorn White ink.

When the ink was dry, I adhered to a panel of silver mirror card, added liquid adhesive and applied extra fine Cotton White glitter to the falling "snow".  Lastly, all was adhered to a card base of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb. card.

That finishes my card for today.  I hope you're inspired to create a Winter themed card and will join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Krafty Chicks Challenge - Week 1 Stamp Act

Hello Crafty Friends, I hope you're all well.  I'm happy to announce I've been invited back to Guest Design for the month of November with the Krafty Chicks Challenge.  I'm truly honored to be designing along side the wonderful team!

The theme this week is Stamp Act - meaning use a stamped image on your project.  For my project, I've used the Hero Arts Layering Betta Fish Stamp Set.

To start, I stamped the fish with Catherine Pooler Inks, fussy cut and set aside.  I then stamped a scrap of card with the grasses, also using CP Inks and die cut with a circle die.  I blended a card panel with Distress Oxide Inks to match the fish colors, splattered with water and White Acrylic Gloss Spray.  I wanted the circle to match the panel so I splattered it as well.

After the blended panel fully dried, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment, adhered the circle flat to the panel, mounted the fish on craft foam and added clear sequins to resemble Bubbles and provide sparkle.

This completes my Guest Design Team project for today.  Please join us at the Krafty Chicks Challenge this week and until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Paper Funday Challenges - November 2021

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog with this month's theme of  Always Anything Goes with the optional Twist of: Thanks/Thankful/Grateful.  The wonderful sponsors this month are CAS_ual Fridays Stamps and The Artsy Stamper.

My design team project features the Snow Angel Stamp Set from CAS_ual Fridays Stamps.  I did a search in the shoppe and could not find this set so it may be retired.

I stamped and heat embossed the image then die cut the focal with a tag die from Gina K. Designs.  I also cut snowflakes from silver mirror card; the snowflake dies are also from Gina K. Designs.  The papers are from a Recollections 12x12 paper stack and the banner flag die is from My Favorite Things.

For dimension, I popped the tag on craft foam and added a Baker's Twine Bow to finish it off.  Please stop by the Paper Funday Challenge Blog and join us this month for your chance to win a prize from 1 of our 2 sponsors.  Also, a Guest Designer is randomly drawn and sent an invite to team up with us the following month so that person could be you!

Double Trouble Guest Designer - Tall Card with Thin Dies

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today begins a new challenge on the Double Trouble Challege Blog and I've been invited to Guest Design with the Team this month!  I'm honored to be creating along side the wonderful and talented team and I'm sharing my 1st project.

The theme is "Tall Card with Thin Dies" and I've created an Autum Themed Standard Slimline card for the challenge.  The optional Twist is:  Things that start wth "T" so I've chosen to create a card of "Thankfulness"

To start, I've stamped an image from the Memory Box "Autumn Gifts" Stamp Set on watercolor card and heat embossed with Copper Fine Detail Embossing Powder.  I used Gansai Tambi Watercolors to give the leaves the Autumn colors we all love as well as a subtle blue background.

The Slimline die is from Crafter's Companion and I've had it a few years now.  I folded a piece of 8.5" x 11" card and cut the card base; slipping one of the cutting edges over the fold so the base would have the stitching.  Lastly, I've added Gold Mine Rhinestones from Kat Scrappiness for added interest.

Please stop by the Challenge at Double Trouble and play along.  I've delighted to be Guest Designing and I'll be back in a few weeks with my second GDT project.  Until then, Happy Crafting!

Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge Re-Start!

Hello Friends!  I'm back with another post for today...whew...it's been a busy Monday!  Today Jan's Digital Stamps Challenges have restarted after a summer hiatus and we are excited to share some holiday inspiration for you.  Jan has been busy this summer with new sets for Autumn, Winter and Christmas....so let's get started!

My project today features an image from the new set "Santa's Gift".  I am so excited for Christmas, it's my favorite holiday and instead of creating Christmas Cards throughout the year, I wait until this time of year to start.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer papers are from a Carta Bella 6x6 paper pad.  The pad features Retro Christmas images and I thought they would match this image; the Santa reminds me of a 1950's Santa Claus.

The sentiment is from the same digital set and I've added Almandine Garnet Rhinestones from Kat Scrappiness to the tree and Crystal Stickles to Santa's Hat and the snow on the tree.

Please stop by Jan's Challenge Blog and join us this month for the Anything Goes Challenge.  We would love to have you join in and we're happy to be back!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Inspiration Station Challenge #17 - Animal Antics

Hello and Happy November 1st.  Today begins a new challenge at The Inspiration Station and the inspirational photo this round is Animal Antics:

For my design team project, I had to dig deep in the stash to find something that wasn't a Cat or a Dog image.  A few years ago, I purchased a box of stamps from a Church Bizarre; there is a hodge podge of stamps and I found a Horse stamp and thought Yes!  The original packaging is long gone so I have no idea where the stamp is from but it is a gorgeous image.  (if anyone knows, please comment below).

I've created a masculine birthday card using papers from the Authentique "Manly" 6x6 paper pad and a sentiment from the Maymay Made It "From All of Us" Stamp Set.

I haven't added any bells or whistles, just some inking around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to give it an aged appearance.  I'm pleased with the card, now to find a Cowboy to give the card to....or a Cowgirl!

Please join us at the Inspiration Station.  Use the photo as inspiration and enter for your chance to win 3 digital images from Kinda Cute by Patricia.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge - Autumn/Fall

Hello and Happy Monday!  Wow, it's November 1st and today begins a new challenge month at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog with the Autumn/Fall theme continuing through the end of this month.

My design team project features the Pumpkins and Fence digital stamp from Eureka! Stamps.  I've created this card with the Thanksgiving Holiday in mind and kept the design simple.

I've colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and matted with a panel of brown card.  The card base is 110 lb. Kraft card.

I've added a small bow made from Baker's Twine and a cappucino enamel dot and that completes this card.  Please visit us this month at The Four Seasons Challenge.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
