Summer Vibes Release June 2022 @ Kat Scrappiness

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Saturday!  It's New Release Time at Kat Scrappiness and it's all about those Summer Vibes.  The team has created projects featuring the newest products available today and you'll want to check back at 12 noon EST for the Instagram Hop!

My project features the Oopsie Daisy Layering Stamp and Coordinating Die Set; the stamp set also has a 3 piece layering stencil set, giving you 2 options for coloring these lovely daisies.  I've also used the new Stitched Foliage Die Set along with the Summer Vibes Paper Pack.

I used 3 tones of Catherine Pooler Inks to stamp my florals instead of blending with the stencil set.  I also created my own green card for the foliage using 2 shaded of Catherine Pooler Inks.  I cut everything using the coordinating dies and set aside to create the panels.

Using nesting rectangle dies, I've cut a thick frame and flipped over the middle piece that was cut from the center (one side is the orange and the other is the tropical print), adhered both to a cardbase and popped the middle panel on craft foam for dimension.

I've arranged the florals and foliage, adhered craft foam behind the images and adhered to the panel.  Lastly, I've added Iridescent Droplets from the Kat Scrappiness for additional interest and shine.

Please stop by the Kat Scrappiness Blog to see all the Team inspiration using the Summer Vibes products and please Hop with us on Instagram at 12 noon EST today.  I hear there will be prizes on the Blog and Instagram!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Doodled Roses and Fancy Leaves

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  Today is New Release Day at Varada Sharma Designs and the newest release is the Bold Blooms for June 2022.  This release contains 4 digital image sets with sentiments and 2 Cut File Sets (SVG files).  For my project today, I've used both cut files:  Doodled Roses and Fancy Leaves.

Using my Cricut Machine, I've cut the doodled roses, the fancy leaves and circles for backing the roses using watercolor card.  I've ink smooshed the cuts using Catherine Pooler inks and set aside to dry.

It is hard to see in the pictures but I have adhered several of the fancy leaves to a card panel to create a faux embossed background.  The sentiments are from the Forever Love Set; the "Joy" was printed using my laser printer and has been hot foiled.

Please visit the Varada Sharma Shop HERE to see all the newest sets in this Bold Blooms Release.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Gerda Steiner at Pammie's Inky Pinkies

Hi Friends, Im back with my last post for this busy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our generous sponsor this round is Gerda Steiner.  I've had the pleasure of featuring the Dog and Butterfly digital image for my A2 sized card today!

I've colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and used Gamsol for blending.  I've cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle Die from Kat Scrappiness and backed with a gray mat.

To give the sky some color, I masked the images and lightly blended the background with Catherine Pooler It's a Boy blue ink.  The sentiment is actally a sticker that I've left on the backing and popped on craft foam.

Please visit and join in the challenge at Pammie's this week.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Star Spangled Wreath

Hello and Welcome Back! Today begins a new challenge month at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog and Jan has created 2 new sets for the month of June.  The first set features a very Patriotic Star Spangled Wreath and I've used this image for my project.  This Set is currently on Sale for $2 through the month of June.

I've created a 5.5" square card; my favorite square size to make and I've kept the design fairly simple, only added some blue gems.  The image is so striking, I felt it needed nothing more.

The second set Jan has released this month is The Good Life.  It's a sweet set featuring a young boy and his best fishing buddy on their way to their secret fishing hole.  This set is also on sale for $3 for the month of June.

Lastly, Jan is having a Proudly Patriotic Sale.  There are several sets that would be great for 4th of July and Labor Day craft projects.

Please join us this month at Jan's Challenge Blog.  I'll be back on the 20th of June with a mid-month inspiration project featuring The Good Life.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Just us Two: Like Father Like Son at The Inspiration Station Challenge

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today is a busy 1st Monday of the Month so I better get started.  Today begins a new bi-weekly challenge at The Inspiration Station Challenge Blog.  Here in the States, Father's Day is the 19th of June this month and the inspiration photo had me inspired to create a Father's Day Card.

Do you know what movie this photo is from?  I love this movie and have seen it dozens of times and I also love this image from Power Poppy titled Reel Deal.  My father and father-in-law have both long since passed away so I make Father's Day cards for my hubby.

I've colored the image using Alcohol Markers and kept the design void of any bells and whistles.  The sentiment is part of this digital set.

This is a great image for any occasion where a masucline themed card is needed.  I have few masculine type stamps or images in my stash so I was happy to add this one to my stash.

Please join us at The Inspiration Station Challenge.  We would love to see your inspired projects.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafters Gonna Craft

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Today I'm sharing a card that every crafter can relate to...Crafters Gonna Craft!  I've used the Crafters Gonna Craft Stamp Set from Kat Scrappiness to create a fun and colorful A2 sized card.

I've created my own background by stamping and coloring various crafty tools.  I've matted the panel with black card and adhered to a 110 lb cardbase of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.

Using the Nesting Circles Die Set from Kat Scrappiness, I've stamped and matted the sentiment, backed with a piece of torn vellum and using my Tiny Attacher from Tim Holtz, added staples for additional interest. The images from this set are so realistic and stamp so well.  This is a set I'm glad to own as it's so versatile!

Thanks for stopping by and as a reminder, the team from Kat Scrappiness is having an Instagram Hop to honor the Country and People of Ukraine using the new set #UkraineStrong.  This set is avaible as a bundle for $39.99.  Through the month of June, all proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the Ukraine.  Please visit the Hop HERE and check out the team inspiration and also check out the blog post from Friday with loads more inspiration!

Kat Scrappiness Ukraine Strong Instagram Hop

Hi Friends and thanks for stopping by.  Today, the team from Kat Scrappiness is hosting an Instagram Hop featuring the new Ukraine Strong Bundle.  Earlier this morning, I posted a card created using this bundle and there are lots more inspirational projects on the Kat Scrappiness Blog HERE.

Now, I am sharing my Instagram Hop project and I would like to invite you to join us for inspiration and an opportunity to win a prize from Kat Scrappiness.  You can find the Instagram Hop HERE.

My card this morning featured the flag image from the Bundle, this card features the Sunflower.  The stamps in the set are layering and very easy to line up and stamp.

Using Catherine Pooler Inks, I stamped the flowers and die cut with the matching dies.  I cut a mat and a scalloped heart from patterned paper included in the paper pack.  I created a cluster, popping the center flower on craft foam for dimension.  I stamped the sentiment from the set and cut using a sentiment strip die.

The paper has a glossy finish and is causing my lighting to reflect.  The #UkraineStrong Bundle can be purchased for $39.99 and through the month of June, all proceeds will be donated to The Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund via GlobalGiving.org.  You can find the Bundle HERE

Please hop with us on Instagram @katscrappiness.  My teammates and I have more inspiration for you there and we would love to see you.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Hello Friends! Today the team from Kat Scrappiness is honoring the People and Country of Ukraine with a special release.  Currently, you can purchase the Ukraine Strong Bundle, which consists of a Paper Pack, Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies for $39.99.  During the month of June, all proceeds from the sale of this bundle will benefit the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund via GlobalGiving.org.  The bundle can be purchased HERE.

For my project, I've created a Sunburst card using the patterned paper as the "rays" of the sun.  The stamp set included 2 layering stamps; one for the Ukrainian Flag and another for a Sunflower.

I've stamped the flag using Catherine Pooler inks and created a Flag Pole out of rolled up Kraft card.  I tied Goldenrod Twine around the top of the pole.  I stamped the sentiment using the same blue ink on a die cut of the flag.   The war has not ended and the Ukraine still needs support and prayers.

Doodled Flowers

Hello and Happy 1st Day of June!  Wow, where did the Spring go?  Although, here in Florida, we don't know what Spring is...only Summer, an Autumn that feels like Summer, a Winter that feels like Autumn and then Summer again LOL!

Today begins a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  The theme is Always Anything Goes and this months' optional twist is:  Masculine.  Our generous sponsors are Varada Sharma Designs and Digi Doodle Studios.

For my design team project, I've used the Doodled Flowers digi stamp from Varada Sharma to create an A2 sized card.  A Huge Thank You to our sponsors for providing the images for the team to use.

I recently purchased an affordable monochrome laser printer because I wanted the ability to do more with digital images.  For example, laser printer toner allows you to hot foil the images you print.  For this image, I printed the image on 80 lb. Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card and then heat foiled using my laminator.  I tried to capture the foiling and it is truly gorgeous.

In this digi set, the main focal image is included along with separate flower heads and leaves.  I've printed and foiled the extra flower heads, fussy cut and popped on craft foam for dimension.  The sentiment is included in the set and you guessed it...I foiled it also!

The panel was lightly inked with Catherine Pooler Cumberbund Blue Ink and adhered flat to the card base.  For a final touch, enamel dots from Kat Scrappiness were added for additional visual interest.

Please join us at The Paper Funday Challenge this month.  We would love to see your projects and hope to inspire you with ours.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge - Summer Mood Board

Hi Crafty Friends!  It's the 1st of June and that signals a new challenge month at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog.  The mood board now reflects Summer and it's intended for inspiration.

I was inspired by the pink florals so my project features a stamped image from the Flower Girls set by Jane Davenport.  The designer papers are from the Carta Bella "Summer" 6x6 paper pad and the image has been colored with Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers.

My card measures 5.5" square, which is my favorite square size primarily because I can use the entire length of a letter sized sheet of card to create a top folding greeting card.  The focal panel was matted and popped of craft foam for dimension.

The sentiment is from the Magnificent Branch Stamp Set by Altenew.  I've added Silver Thread and light pink Gems to finish the design.

The Four Seasons Challenge is a monthly challenge and we would love to see your designs entered this month.  Get inspired and play along!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
